Squirrels love peanuts and peanut butter. I began trapping squirrels at the base of my feeders 4 years ago thinking that if I disposed of a handful they would all be gone. 260 squirrels later they continue to come! I think one of my neighbors is busing them in from somewhere else but I can't prove it. I also caught 42 mice. And 5 rats after the nearby sewer was opened for repairs last month. I never saw or caught a rat before that.
