Gilgamesh might actually be the first superhero. They told tales of him in ancient Mesopotamia. Marvel's version of him has a skill set that should put him on par with Thor and other heavy hitters. With a redesigned look and more depth added to his character he could become a great character. If I were a comic writer, I would definitely flesh him out and use him. The movie didn't do him justice (or anyone for that matter, too many agendas other than a good story and characters)

I think Gilgamesh would have made more sense to be the twist villain in the movie instead of Icarus.

These were the times in the comics that my brothers were reading to me in the late 80s. I would've been 5 or 6 at the time. I grew up thinking all the characters new 80s designs (The Captain Steve Rogers, Silver Centurion Iron Man, black and white suit Spider-Man, gray Hulk, extra rocky cosmically amped Thing, etc.) were how they'd always been. I vaguely remember my brothers reading these Avengers issues with Gilgamesh to me. I was excited as a kid to see Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman as Avengers. Man, Inferno was some kind of tie-in. I remember they tried to do another Inferno recently and it was... less interesting. Wasn't this when Hobgoblin got turned into an actual goblin? I'm enjoying the older videos until the new ones, it's like reading the X-Men Classic reprints back in the day that ran concurrent with the new issues of X-Men and Uncanny X-Men. Looking forward to the new videos when they hit! 👍

Tried reading the 70s eternals and it was so dense and wordy I just could not get into it, but I liked the 2006 gaiman one (don't remember gilgamesh's role in that one.) Kinda wish they did more of a straight up adaptation of that story in the movie. Also ironic how him being THE FORGOTTEN ONE is just so on the nose for his time as an avenger.

Dr.Druid & Star Fox are probably the worst. The Eternal The forgotten one. Sucked after they dumped his Jack kirby spacesuit look. Loved the character until they gave him this crappy costume and changed his name.

No Jonah is right. Eddie throughout the comics to come would keep his word and even forgive Peter, while Peter instead would hold a grudge and continue to betray Eddie's trust. For the longest time it was just this annoying trait of Peter that was responsible for keeping some semblance of the rivalry going when both halves of Venom joined the side of good and stayed there. It took Flash calling out Peter despite still dieing to wounds from Red Goblin (Norman bonded to the Carnage symbiote) for Peter to finally forgive Venom and as Donny Cates' run showed the resulting new friendship between the two was much better them constantly bickering while fighting the villain of the week.

Agree Carnage should get a slasher thing. there's a carnage run around Carnage U.S.A. thats not exactly a slasher but theres a group investigating a cosmic thing that carnage is involved. also earlier in the current run there was something like that with carnage plotting somthing and killing people, with Flash/Agent Anti-Venom (worst name to the best character ratio?) investigating what i really want tho is a Venom & Spider-Man: Maximum Carnage R-rated animated movie (thats right venom comes first idc)
