You are one of a very few that I've seen that knows how to effectively utilize the power of your machine to clear away snow...letting the machine do what it's designed to do, and not trying to man handle or force it. Kudos to you! 👍
I have read online that ariens is serious competition to Honda for a fraction of the price. But then i get professional's that argue that it's not true
Honda is well built and quite reliable, but expensive. Ariens Pro line,in my opinion,is comparable to the Honda in quality and slightly less expensive. The Ariens home use line are less expensive and are very durable compared to other brands. For home owner use you can’t beat it.

You’re making false comparisons, there’s no way you had an Ariens pro Rapid Trak. Ariens are made in Wisconsin at their own factory ,not MTD or John Deere.
I'd like to see that Ariens with a full-tank of gas, go head-to-head with an electric snow-thrower. Same snow depth, same day and location. Use a big parking lot. Let's see which one lasts longest!
I have had a little ST 2+2 many years ago. 2 stage, just auger pull .. no drive to the wheels. That thing would pull through snow and never die. They are great machines.
Just switched up to a 28 pro rapidtrak from the 24. Loved the 24, but like the option to be done quickly, although most of the time I love hanging outside with two or three feet of snow on the ground. What is the engine size of this snowblower used in this video?
Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. czcams.com/users/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.
That's what I have! I have a tiny 1-car driveway, but the driveway is surrounded by retaining walls and we get a lot of heavy snow that all needs to be lifted. It's a great middle ground between a 2-stage gas and shoveling by hand.
WOW, it would be overkill for my urban driveway in southern Ontario but if you have the snow and property for it, what a pleasure that unit must be to use.
Great video! The hydro really comes in handy in the deep snow. Sometimes you need to crawl so the machine can handle the depth of snow entering the augers. When I got my Toro Power Max HD 1232 first gear was a bit too fast, so I adjusted the gear shift rod and that took care of the problem. I can now crawl in first gear to deal with deep snow. The Pro Ariens machines can really get the job done. They have one of the better track designs as well.
Hi Andy, yes that is a battery. I added that when I converted to the LED lights. With a battery in line with the bridge rectifier, the lights don’t get dim or flicker when you idle down. Thanks for watching.
Best snow blower review on CZcams, and because of this review, I know what to buy. Most snow blow reviews you get consists of an intellectual jibber jabbin' hippie clearing 1" of California sidewalk dust, whereas this fella into a TUNDRA! #YOUBETCHA!
I've had my current Ariens 28 for 30 years and consider it new. Unfortunately, it won't quit, but I'd love to switch up to a new 24 or 28 Ariens rapid track
I know the Honda Fanboys out there won't believe it. But as a guy that's worked on snowblowers for about 15 years these professional rapid track units are monsters.
i learned something about Ariens,. new Ariens have engines made from china, but the Ariens body is US made haha, almost bought rapid trak, its engine AX420 is a chinese engine on the Ariens rapid trak, owned by LCT a chinese company who makes engines for Ariens. wonder why Ariens cant throw like Honda, Ariens have Chinese engines haha.
@@heathwirt8919 yes i have seen the new ones, they look great, are they the AX engines out of China?? The Big Pro Ariens?? Ariens in house engine is a Chinese AX engines. what about Big Pro? are they Chinese engines,? thanks.

Hello, I apologize for multiple questions but hopefully you can help me with making my decision. I am not sure whether to get a wheeled or a track model? Have you tried both? if so, how do you like the track model? Can you easily make a “U”-turn when in the wheeled mode? When using the tracks which mode do you find yourself using most: track, dig-in, or wheeled? You have a fairly large property but it doesn’t seem to have great inclines. Could you have done as well with a wheeled unit? Why did you get a 28” width when you might have reduced the amount of passes with a 32” machine. Please take your time to respond but try to give me as much input as possible. It’s only by speaking with the end-users that I can get help making the wisest decision. Thanks so much.
Hi, this track machine has the best of both worlds. It does in fact turn easily in wheel mode,so I always keep it in track mode moving forward,at the end of the pass I pull the hand leaver, push down on the handles, now it’s in wheel mode. Then you either back up or spin it around. In the video I’m snow blowing at my hunting property,so I don’t keep it cleared out all season long. I have it for home use,so the 28” works well enough for my needs. As for wheel vs track I’d say track, the best thing about track mode is the bucket doesn’t want to climb upward while moving into harder crusted snow. The mode I use most often is dig in mode moving forward, then wheel mode when turning or backing up. Hope this helps.
@@alc4693 thanks so much for this reply. The information and the way you explained it is making me head in the direction of a track machine. If you can reply to my other question about where you got your lights, i again, would appreciate this.

Need to adjust, still snow on surface at least and inch or more.
Happy New Year's
💕
Wow how much snow was that?
22 to 24 inches

My simplicity will do that job 50% faster.
That snowblower sure looks more expensive than that house, LOL!
Super impressive 😮

Blowers are so slow
Дом то пустой, заброшенный, без окон! Зачем там чистить снег!?
the traction you get with tracks vs wheels is amazing.
that machine is dangerous sir...wow

It has the 420 cc Briggs and Stratton.
That’s a machine. 😮
Except the house looks like it’s ready to collapse.
- Are the lights mounted on top of the snow deck factory installed or, aftermarket add-ons?
Hi, yes I did add the lights. I installed a rectifier with an inline 12 volt battery and a switch.
Why are you blowing the snow onto the building?

Easy when one wants to blow fresh snow in the yard. How about on a frozen slush covered driveway with ice and shit. Let’s see that real test bucktooth
So satisfying👍👍🤛
Toro HD models can get the job done as well and cost a whole lot less. This video proves it. czcams.com/video/R_pANI8mvjA/video.html
