Live 1982 tape of the band at Little Louie's on Danforth Ave. Paul Hussiak on guitar and Bill Davis on Keys. John and I rounding out the rhythm section. Suddenly, a familiar face appeared and sat in for two songs. The guys in the band were thrilled with that great voice and when he started whistling and making the throat slash sign - for "stop" time it made us feel like we had actually, somehow...

Written in 1984 with John Ansara providing the "pocket" drum groove which I had no problem matching note for note on his bass pedal with my Bass Guitar. Finally found someone with as nasally a voice as mine to harmonize with..(me) Also tried my hand at the guitar & organ on this one. YT allows no mp3 so had to put a picture on it to pretend its a movie.

CBC Contest Winners with original song performed LIVE in one take, no lipsync for these guys. The television crew were so grateful not to be cueing up a pre-recorded studio backing track they even decided they would add some dry-ice billowing up from the stage. The network cut out a full verse, but left in the great solo. The drummer and I worked out some great Santana-ish Latin Rhythm section ...

Hi Doug. I was thinking about Deena the other day and thought I would look her up on the internet. No luck, but I came across this video and it really brought me back to all the fun times your sister and I had at the cottage. I also remember hearing your band play, “A Whiter Shade of Pale”, at the Constable Road location. Still one of my favourite songs. Hope all is well with you and your family. Susan Clayton, (ALDRED).
Hi Susan - She lives out inear Peterborough on a farm and not sure internet is her thing as I have never seen her on any links either. She is also not talking to me for some unknown reason and she sent a birthday card back with some comments on it...so I never have been in touch for years. You could try snail mail RR#4 Havelock ON K0L 1Z0 just dont tell her i sent you ...haha. Great you remembered 2568 basement band. I archived some of my mom and dads super8 films to Digtial when they passed away and i believe you might be in some of them riding skidoo's etc. I have taken down some of the vids etc on Facebook but might be some old stuff on there as well under my name.- Cheers
sprinklerman08 Thanks for the update on Deena, Doug. Perhaps I will try the snail mail address, without telling her where I got the info. Lol. I remember you making Super8 films back then.
