As a UX manager I have sifted through countless applications and portfolios from new UX designers. And let me tell you... they all look exactly the same. They went through some bootcamp, took some online courses, got the Google UX certification, but they really don't understand what the job of a UX designers is. My goal is to help you stand out and land your first UX job. It can be incredibly difficult to break into any new field but it is possible. You can do it.

Should All Billboards Be Banned?

Aren't you tired of getting spammed with ads on your way to work? I've been seeing so many billboards for billboard companies which tells me maybe no one is renting them anymore. So I investigated the outdoor advertising industry. I wanted to find out if we could get rid of billboards entirely. An IRL AdBlocker! (Incase you're not gen z.. I have always sucked at throwing a football but I'm determined to learn how. The furthest NFL quarterbacks usually throw in a game is around 55 yards, although last year in 2022 PJ Walker threw the longest completion in NFL history, a 67.7 yard hail mary to DJ Moore. Well, your lifestyle doesn't match your income. It is that simple. Those $700 on restaurants and $800 on unidentified Venmo transactions add up to $18,000 a year of after-tax money. That is a used car or 5-7% of your mortgage right there.

ngl this actually makes it easier to critize people that make 100k living paycheck to paycheck... the first thing anyone should do is always pay attention to where your finances are, thats your first mistake and you even say it cost you 500 a year on a subscrition you dont even use... this is the step in the right direction you should be balancing your checkbook regularly like even weekly.

  • @nathanhulstrand6113

This isn’t “living paycheck to paycheck”, this is having an every dollar budget. Everyone should be telling all of their dollars where to go. Paycheck to paycheck would be saving nothing each month and having your entire income consumed by bills. If you make 100k a year and are contributing to your 401k saving up for big vacations, and spending $1000 a month on eating out, you can make changes to your budget if you want to save more??? Some people do make good money and live paycheck to paycheck because they are frivolously spending way more than they should and not saving anything. Show me someone who is making 100k a year, can’t reasonably cut back on their expenses, isn’t saving or investing, and is still out of money by their next payday.

Stop whining. There's a LOT of political whining, hoping ignorant people will just believe "hyperinflation" and vote for Trump. In reality, inflation below 4 percent is about average the past 60 years. And today a dozen large eggs are roughly 2 bucks and have been for quite a few months. Cherry picking is NOT valid, though it's great internet whining fodder. Congrats -- now I know to ignore all your videos.

I envy you american folks so much. I'm an orthopaedic surgeon living in Germany and come to a few buck over 4000 a month. Rent and utilities a little over 1500. Groceries for a family of 3 ~ 1200 month. Car/gas/insurance 400 for an used mazda :). Eating out 150-200 for 2 visits of a local restaurant per month. Clothes/shoes ~ 300. Traveling ~ 400. Eating at work cantine 150. You get the idea. It's a good thing my wife makes relatively good money or else we'd be in huge trouble. Funny thing is, when I was looking for a new job a few years back and an interviewer asked me what I expect to get paid, he suggested to lower my expenses instead, like living in a smaller condo and "eating less" :). It's sadly a common mindset around europe and I hear such nonsense on a regular basis. I'm happy that you make good money and can afford a decent life. Cheers from europe

I could quit my job today and not change a single thing about the way i live and survive for at least a year because i learned that difference early on and save money. Now even when i can afford something, i have to justify it to myself. And i dont even make all that much money, especially for my area. Shit give me 100k a year and ill be a millionaire in less than ten years with saving, bonds, and investments.
