absolute heroes
You would assume a loud noise after the explosion. Instead of that you get completely silence with one of the best piano track that I heard. That is such a brilliant move and I really love it. Its so much more powerful then loud sound!
This movie is a masterpiece , this story deserves to be told
Canadian RIP heroes
Only cowards take their own lives. Phew.
Heartbreaking scene. Thanks to everyone who battled Nazism on every front, we don’t have to ask ourselves what would have happened if Hitler had only lost.

I visited the crypt when I was young. While walking through the corridors, reading information tablets and watching photographs I suddendly felt coldness on my cheeks. Tears were running down my face and I didn't even notice. It caught me offguard. I was not sad, I didn't want to cry.. yet I did and couldn't stop it... It was embarassing as well as eerie. As if some ghost/spirit entered my body and I could not control it anymore. Breathing heavily, I tried to hide my face from other visitors - with limited success. Never experienced anything like that before or since. The place is haunted. Many poor souls still inhabit that place, I'm telling ya.
One of the best endings I've ever seen in a movie
"We are Czechs! We will never surrender, did you hear that? Never!"
watching this scene I cried silently in the corner of the couch and hugged my pillow, every actor did incredible, Cillian broke my heart in this movie tho. R.I.P Jozef Gabčík, Jan Kubiš, Adolf Opálka, JosefValčik, Josef Bublik, Jan Hruby, Jaroslav Švarc. 💔💔💔
Imagine that. No way out. No last minute saving. No one to help bail them out. Remarkable bravery. Truly a story worth telling for centuries.
These guys were special. Their bravery and their attitude towards their mission cannot be in question here. The same goes for almost all soldiers that fought, died or survived through this war . I'm very proud to have had both grandfather's that fought ,helped the world and done their country (and family very proud) . These brave men and women were cut from different cloth and should never be forgotten ❤
God have mercy!!!!
....and yet Germany seems to be forgiven for everything....much like Japan.....The Human memory is too short.....
Well, it wasn't forgiven after WW1 and we ended up with WW2. So people tried something else after WW2.
Schemers and dreamers never win. You’re either a doer or not.
Greatest movie ending of all time. Extremely underrated film
Amazing music! Top notch performances and music.Thank u for posting this. I am Polish and watched in awe-respect to the Czech Resistance.Nowhere was the Resistance against the Nazis stronger than in Poland and Czechoslovakia.Great movie.Stays with u.
The six brave Czechs and the Slovak who died in this shootout and gave their lives to take out the worst man (historians agree on this - Heydrich was a darker figure than Hitler) in one of history's darkest regimes showed enormous bravery. The rest of those men didn't have to go into that church with Gabcik and Kubis, but they did, knowing they would die to the last man anyway. Often overlooked is the bravery displayed by the Orthodox bishop of the Orthodox Church in Czechoslovakia afterwards. In an effort to reduce the vengeful Nazi response to Heydrich's death, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorazd_(Pavl%C3%ADk) Bishop Gorazd wrote to the Nazis taking responsibility for the actions of the men in the church. He was imprisoned, tortured and executed in June 1942. He was canonized in 1961.
Heydrich was, in Nazi terms, unt Ubermensch. His assassination showed that none of the Nazi leadership were not beyond the dagger. I enjoyed the film. It's a time capsule of a story. Enjoy x
God bless all those who died in defence of their homeland.
I saw the movie for the first time yesterday. I cried
This is probably the best WWII movie ever made
Watching this drunk it's not that easy 😢
I'm still confused, is the "ghost" he sees in the water before he dies Jan or the woman he loved (i forgot her name)
The woman he loved.
It's Lenka
This is one of the movies where you can't say: it's not sad, it's just a movie
Got what they fucking deserved.
Heydrich?
@@jeffgreer198613 No.
@@Zuthieus 🤨
@@jeffgreer198613 What?
@@Zuthieus Do you think they were wrong?
Cillian is so beautiful, such a breathtaking actor. His eyes convey a thousand emotions. The way he was staring into Lenka's illusion before killing himself is incredibly moving. The scene is stunning and hard to watch. Josef and Lenka were my favourite in this, so much unspoken love in their eyes against the backdrop of war!
It was heartbreaking, they barely got a chance :(
A hard movie to watch but amazing nonetheless. Here's to our fallen heroes.
Our boys 😪🇨🇿🇸🇰
...Why didn't they just get one of the krauts automatics from the stairs? It's not even far and there was nobody there.
2:11… 😒
Hulk Hogan
Can someone tell me the BGM of this scene...its really heart-touching
Look up, Robin Foster - End Titles on CZcams.
@@adamp2574 just a correction. The music in this scene is The Crypt by Robin Foster. End Credits is the music that follows this part. :)

Underrated movie
I've heard that 800 German soldiers came to the church. Did anyone know how much Germans they killed?
I visited this location when i was in prague,
I'm Jewish. Some of my relatives lived in Josefov and Osek before their immigration to the U.S. These men and their homeland hold a special place in my heart 🇨🇿
They where true heroes for stopping such a monster. They even didnt let nazis to kill them, but by their own hands. What a brave people. Respect...
This movie only showed at ONE theater here in San Antonio and I’m so glad I saw it TWICE in that theater!!
Αληθινοί ΗΡΩΕΣ που γλύτωσαν την ανθρωπότητα από ένα κτήνος.
Die Leute in dem Video, die mich umgebracht haben, tun mir nicht leid.
006
One of the most emotional war movies I know!!! Rest in Peace Heros...
Even though resistance was ultimately futile, they cost the Germans many men. Respect to them
In fact, germans did not have any casualty, only 4 wounded.
I left the cinema with a knot in my throat and tears in my eyes, and everyone just left in silence after the credits were over.
😂😂😂
This film is amazing! Really gritty and true.
