Made this today, and it turned out amazing! Followed this recipe exactly except used a little more flour to get the dough closer to the same consistency as the video. Make sure you bake for the full 50 mins at least, the top may look done but it takes a long time for all that moisture to escape. One of the best and easiest gluten-free loaves I've tried, curious to see how this flour would fare in an artisan/sourdough recipe.. thanks!
Thanks for this the recipe in the text below the video for the medium loaf worked perfectly. It is much better than the recipe for gluten free bread that came with my bread machine. No luck with the large loaf but I'm not sure the ingredients listed are correct? For the large loaf you increase all the ingredients by 50% but not water which is only increased by 20%
Where can I find the recipe thanks
Hello, you can find the recipe here www.freee-foods.co.uk/recipes/gluten-free-bakewell-tart/
Nice❤
Measurements?
Hello, you can find the recipe and measurements here www.freee-foods.co.uk/recipes/gluten-free-oat-and-date-slice/
You may as well buy Doves Farm gf flour and make the mixture yourself. The recipe for rolls will be on their website. Remember to add yeast too
Lovely , but it’s not Victoria, without the Buttercream.
The version Queen Victoria ate would have been filled with jam alone, but modern versions often include cream.
They look like fairy cakes not bread rolls😢
Can butter be used for the oil?
This video is the best I have seen , well explained and to the point not to much talk.
Hey I have a sunbeam machine would this recipe work with it?
Can rice flour be used? how much by volume?
I have just made it and it’s amazing. Sad that I can not add photos.
A great little promo, but a little talk-over for us newbies wold be appreciated, please. Also can profiteroles be made with you flour blends? My young granddaughter looks longingly at them, but mum doesn’t know if they will hurt her!
I made a Small loaf by Panasonic bread maker. It is successful.
bake at what temp?
Came out dense and pretty horrible, have to bin it.
Made this for the third time today. I used two thirds of the ingredients for a well known UK bread maker, used Spelt flour and upped the water to 300 ml. Perfect result, thank you.
Hello, I discovered this video recently, and gave it a try. NOT A SUCCESS. You seem in the video to make the larger size loaf, as did I. I used the Gluten Free programme on my bread machine ( 2hr 55min). After around 2 hours the mix came over the top of the tin and started to burn. So complete failure at first attempt. My machine has a fast bake 1 and 2 with lesser baking times, I do not have a High Bake (only fast bake...same thing maybe ???. I assume all bread machines have the same size baking pan ? Any thoughts please ?

These were an absolute triumph. Thank you so much!
how many cups is 500g
mine sucked balls
Poor video. Please show texture of mixed dough, or delete this misleading video.
The batter does not come out as anyway nearly as thick as in the video. Suspect recipe 🤔.
Mine came out with a hole in middle
What, where the mixing blade was?
I'm trying this and the dough it turning out like cake batter. I'm using 500g flour with 400ml water.
No psyllium - would that not help with the rising?
❤️ Doves farm flour and the recipe in the packet. Thank you x
How to make with dove plain white gluten free flour ???
Look yummmmm
Why you don't create and Vegan recipe It's a good idea 💡
I hope this recipe also works with the plain gluten-free flour
Well, a no-nonsense video for a change, just straight to it, I'll have ago at this thank you.
Can this be made with the gluten free original white flour ? @freeebydovefarms
you can use the gluten free white bread flour then follow the written recipe
I've made this today in a bread machine. It came out like a heavy spongy crumpet. And it did not smell good. I added slightly less water than recommended and it was like thin cake batter. I'm going to try in a conventional oven next to see if it improves
Doesn’t work at all in my Panasonic breadmaker. Yeast on top? Really? How can it rise? Followed both video and packet instructions. A block of crap comes out every time.
'Instant' fast-acting yeast is essential, I use Mauripan.
@@tedf1471 How much flour in cups for large loaf?
I weigh out 460g (two & 3/4 cups) @@juliejohnson3835
I have tried this recipe two times so far and cannot get a loaf like the one pictured. The first time I used Bobs Red Mill 1 to 1 baking flour and used the rapid setting as my bread maker does not have gluten free setting. It was totally wet inside. The second time I cut the oil down to 4 tbls and used King Arthur 1 to 1 all purpose flour on the regular white bread setting. It spilled over into the bottom of my bread maker and made a mess but the loaf was still gummy and wet inside. Can you help? Does It have to be a certain kind of flour? Do I absolutely have to have a gluten free setting? I’m new to a gluten free diet and I am dying to have a piece of bread or a sandwich.
Just made bread with the new recipe on the back of the pack, did not come out like this at all, so I then tried again with this video...25ml of water less than the pack states...still too watery, it's like milk not like the dough in this video. Other than adding another 400g of flour what can I do
I'm having the exact same problem.
I tried converting 750g into cups and get over 6 cups. That doesn’t make sense. Please help me to convert the flour mixture here. Also coconut flour said to use only 1/3 cup of coconut flour to 1cup of regular flour. Iam totally confused
Yes, I got 5.51 cups.
I got so worried when I was baking this....it was sooooo sticky!
No sugar?
Hi and many thanks for your comment. Sugar is already included within the mix and no need for anymore. Best wishes, FREEE by Doves Farm.
Hello I made these today but needed only half the amount of milk used in your recipe and they still came out lovely and thin so I think the amount you have suggested just isn't right. Other than that my pancakes dame out ok.
Which shops can I buy the pizza bread mix from? Also is there an alternative flour I could use instead?
Can I use dove farm self raising flour or white strong flour instead??? I can't find the pizza base mix
The recipe is on the strong bread flour dove mix
Tesco
@@mikuuk5926 Thanks
What do I do wrong when the dough didn't rise?
Did you use their (Doves Farm) bread mix? It has yeast in. If you just used gluten free flour it won't work.
Tried many recipes from ur flour all i throw it in the garbage box .
Hi I made this today...and absolutely love it! Only thing is I used extra virgin olive oil and find that’ it’s got strong taste so next time I’m going to use a lighter oil. The texture of the bread is amazing.
Does it matter what machine you use I have a sunbeam machine with a gluten free setting 😫
I wish more shops would sell gluten free food and ingredients for cooking. My local Co-Op sell plain freee Dove flour but not the type for making bread or pizza. Ready made gluten free bread is too expensive for me to buy and why is it full of big holes???
My son is allergic to eggs and chickpeas! Any ideas for alternatives?.....I'm really struggling to find a good egg free/gluten free/chickpea free bread recipe.
Why would you put eggs in bread...any bread? I make great gluten free bread without eggs. Use ingredients just like you are making regular bread and instead of wheat flour use gluten free. Cheers!
@@LillyAugustaUnfortunately it's's not that simple as gluten free flour mixes often contain buckwheat, millet or quinoa which my son cannot have. Rice flour alone doesn't make a nice bread loaf as it comes out very dense. Sainsbury's had their own brand of gluten free bread flour, which they don't make anymore, which contained a mixture of potato starch, rice flour and cornflour which was really great. I've been trying to combine rice flour, corn flour and xanthan gum but haven't been able to get a decent loaf as yet. Still struggling to find that perfect gluten free bread recipe but I shall continue searching 😃
@@deniselewis8575 Hmm, I make perfect gluten-free bread and recently, I bought a bread maker, which even simplifies the process. I guess you are in the US, and I really don't know about gluten-free flour mixes that you can buy, but in Europe, you have plenty of them, and the one that I like the most is Schar (mix B). With it, I get the consistency of the loaf almost the same as with the wheat flour. I certainly don't use eggs. I use one teaspoon of Psyllium; the rest is like making regular bread. I never made bread with rice flour only, but now you gave me the challenge to try it. I will let you know how it went, lol. I hope you find the best recipe that works for you soon. Cheers!
My grandson is also allergic to eggs and chickpeas - have tried many recipes for bread machine and all failures!! Please help
