Krishnendu Saha

Krishnenedu Saha started his journey in the world of dance at the age of 8. He has been learning “Oddisi” since the age of 15. He has begun his training under Smt. Alokananda Roy and is fortunate enough to receive guidance and mentorship in Orissi under the rigorous Gurukul system from Sangeet Natya Academy Awardee Guru Smt. Sharmila Biswas. Presently he is a senior repertoire dancer of Sharmila Biswas’s Odissi Vision and movement Centre.
Krishnendu begged many awards in dance. He has participated in many notable dance festivals across India. He is a part of Sharmila Biswas’s famous production “Murchhana”.
Post the completion of his Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from West Bengal State University, his passion of dance translated into his profession. Krishnendu is teaching dance toyoung and fresh student of Filix School of Education (C.B.S.E) since 2016, under the supervision of the guru Smt. Sharmila Biswas.

ODISSI MARGAM(NMACC)
Krishnendu Saha presented a one & half an hour long Odissi Margam at the prestigious Nita Mukesh Ambani cultural Centre, Mumbai on 9th June, 2024.
This Margam was choreographed & designed by Guru Sharmila Biswas where Krishnendu presented five of her thought provoking choreographies.
The evening started with ABAHANI, a ritualistic ranga-puja which was followed by Shree Vighnaraj(the invocation).
The second presentation was Shiv Parvati Shabda.
Third presentation was Maya Manav based on a famous episod of epic Ramayan(mainly collected from Bichitra Ramayan of Odisha).
Fourth presentation was Dashavatar & history of human evolution & the concluding presentation was Moksha Mangalam.
