I forgot to mention that the Rover is geared towards bigger dogs but can still accommodate to the smaller ones. The max weight limit is 80 POUNDS which is DOUBLE the Air Plus bag!
I don't claim to be a professional reviewer but I enjoy making these videos so again, I hope this helps someone make their choice when purchasing a bag.

Early morning fishing was on point until the sun came up and radiated heat upon the lake. Ended up leaving early due to the slow bite.

Spring Fishing on Swartswood Lake

Fishing on Swartswood Lake in NJ in the early spring. Bite was tough but a few fish were caught. Not the best video but the goal is to get better as I learn how to capture, film, and edit.
5 years later and this video is still incredibly useful! Thank you for taking the time to provide this product comparison :) I have a chunky cavalier and have been looking into these!

Thank you for this, ive been looking for the right backpack for my 9yo corgi who just can't do long hikes walking anymore. She can't keep up with my two younger dogs anymore but I don't want to leave home, so I'll try one of those.
I got a backpack and no, my corgi doesnt like it. I dont like it either. Its too uncomfortable for all of us having him strapped like that in a purse, and he is trying constantly to come out. I am returning it
I don’t see it being for everyone. My corgi was trying to get out too when I had him in it at one point. To be honest I haven’t used the bag in a long time but it worked great for us when we did use it.

Awesome guide!!! I put our corg in the backpack today by myself (we usually put him in with two people) and he almost toppled over! Definitely going slower next time!
lmao, when I saw that name on the snuggle jacket I was like no way!! I will be getting my dog soon in a few months and I'm gonna name him Colby as well, he's going to be a cavalier king Charles spaniel, and I will possibly be getting a corgi too named chase. very useful video, i wanted to get the snuggler myself!

We also have a corgi and trying to decide between the k9 air plus or the k9 knavigate. The concern we have on the air plus is whether it bounces as you hike. How was your experience with using the air plus and the Rover? Was the belt strap good to have? We think the belt strap would be good for stabilization and comfort but not sure. Any advice you have is much appreciated. Thanks for doing these review.
hey sorry it took a while for me to see this. But I really enjoy the air plus. I didn't have any problems with my bag bouncing around. The rover ended up being too big for my taste but I haven't purchased any other sportsacks because my air plus still does a great job
Your dog is sooooooo sweet & patient! The perfect demo dog! I love short- leggers (a.k.a. low-riders). I have had doxies & used to dog sit for my friends 2 corgis.
I used to have 2 doxons but they unfortunately passed of old age. They were great dogs though. I love low riders as well
Thx for the helpful demos! I bought the same 2 u did. I have a Maltese so I really need the bolster. But every time I check the site, they are all sold out. It is really annoying how the tell you not to return your K9 sack if it is to big but the suggest to buy the bolster instead to raise the height of the bottom of backpack. Ugh!!!!!
I’m glad the video was able to help you :) I never bought the boosters so I don’t know what type of material it is but maybe try getting a block is styrofoam from a craft store and cutting it in size to fit. I tried using a blanket and a sweater when I put my shih tzu inside the bag but it didn’t work well haha

Hey I know this was made 2 years ago but which backpack would you recommend and how do you know if the dog has to go the the bathroom
Hey so there's been updated backpacks since I made this video so I can't speak on the updated ones but I love my air plus. It has been able to bring my dogs places he normally wouldn't be able to go and helped me when my dog got sick. As far as the bathroom situation, I never had him in the bag for a long period of time so I never had an issue with thinking when he had to go. K9 sport sack website says they don't recommend the dog in the bag for more than 45 minutes but I never even made it to 45 minutes at a time personally

Thank you! 😊 he's not too heavy but I usually don't have him in the bag for too long. He actually hasn't even out in a while because he had a bad illness but he's getting better

Why hydration bladder do you have?
Just a regular ol 3L camelback. It's very old... they make new ones that have pressure and your can get a nice flow from it

Have you ever gone hiking with your dog in the bag where you had significant altitude changes?
I've gone hiking with him with some good incline but we take it slow and he wasn't in the bag. I haven't done any trails longer than 3 miles with him though. I wouldn't want him to be in the bag with steep incline/decline in case I were to fall backwards I wouldn't want to chance his safety. He usually stays home for the technical hikes
@@Jms4ntana Thanks so much for your reply. My dog and I are going on a 12 day hike (taking it very slowly, and he is also a corgi) and I'm trying to decide if this backpack is a good investment, or if we are better off using a carry harness and emergency carry-out bag for the steep parts.

Hi may i know what his girth is that fits the Large? Because my corgi has a girth of 77cm and according to the size chart the Large is a 79cm. Im afraid its going to be too tight for her..

Hi! Great review, thanks! I have a cardigan corgi, and was considering the Urban. But it looks quite less sturdy and less comfortable. Now that you've had them for a while, which one would you recommend? I assume the Air Plus?
I personally like the air plus more. I'll he honest I haven't used the urban because I like the breathability of the air plus more.

Thank you so much for your video! Specially with your smaller dog - there's quite a few with big ones in the carrier, so I wondered how as smaller one would do... How heavy is yours? I'm about to get an Entlebucher Mountain Dog (they're about Beagle-sized), so I think with 40 to 60 lbs weight I'll be needing this size, even though it's way too big for a puppy - but I'm definitely not going to buy two 😊! I ordered a "puppy bag" for the beginning, so this one can wait, but your video certainly helped with the decision so now I now what to get afterwards 🤗...
I'm glad this video helped you! My corgi is 30 pounds. I also have a shihtzu that is too small for the bag I have. I know k9sportsack sells the foam pads that will raise a dog in the pack. I haven't bought it but I would recommend it. I tried using a folded blanket and it didn't work out too well 🤣
@@Jms4ntana Oh, I would have guessed she was bigger than that - such a lightweight 😊! Well, my Going-to-be-babydog is going to be even lighter at first, but I guess a year or so and that'll change... But the foam pads are a good idea for the beginning!

Thank you! I do not have a link. I actually made these videos because when I was looking for help on which ones I should get there wasn't any videos that were answering my questions I had. Colby got sick for a while so he has been resting but good news! He is currently in remission at the moment from almost a year long battle with IMT. We may be making videos again soon :)

I was interested in buying this for my dog but she's not too thrilled when it comes to even putting a raincoat on her so I'm unsure how she's going to deal, so thanks for your tips and experience. Side note, your dog's look to the camera and expression made me laugh.
To be honest we never used the raincoat after we saw it didn't fit him, it just sits in a box in the basement haha. Also my wife said the same thing. She screen shot the moment he stared at the camera and sent it to all her friends saying this is what I do when I'm home alone. Hahahahaha

What about the bottom feet are they squished in there?
They are im a sitting position while they're in there. I had issues once where my dog kept repositioning himself like he was uncomfortable so I took him out of the bag but never had any issues after that one time after that. There's plenty room on the bottom in my opinion though
