Join us as we celebrate our 1-year anniversary of "Stahl und Rauch"!
Over the past year, I've worked on some incredible projects and built amazing creations. From crafting a smoker to fabricating a sturdy welding cart, each project has been a testament to my passion for metalwork and craftmanship. I even ventured into the world of culinary tools with a handcrafted Nakiri knife, and tackled heavy-duty tasks with the rearend loader for the agria 4800.
In between, of course, culinary delights from the smoker.
In this special anniversary compilation, I've take you through my most memorable moments. Thank you for being a part of my journey - I couldn't have done it without your support!

I show how I smoke a 2.5kg roast and pork fillets wrapped in bacon. As a side dish there is halloumi grilled cheese, pumpkin and with cream cheese stuffed peppers and mushrooms. The day before, the meat was marinated with onions, herbs and oil. The smoking time was 3.5 hours. At the end, the roast had a core temperature of 65°C. In this video I show how our balcony was cut off. We used a Hilti DST 10-CA wall saw system and a truck crane. The balcony had to give way due to the construction of a new carport. Very good workmanship. Pity about your choice of steel. It would have been a great knife if it could have been heat treated.
It has had no final heat treatment that has been seen after all the heating that the knife has undergone. It will break in half.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻🥵
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately I used a non-hardenable stainless steel. But I decided to finish building the knife. A note about this can be found in the video description.
Schönes Messer, tolle Arbeit aber wann wurde die Klinge gehärtet?
Vielen Dank. Leider habe ich einen nicht härtbaren Edelstahl verwendet. Dennoch habe ich beschlossen das Messer fertig zu bauen. Ein Hinweis dazu ist in der Videobeschreibung zu finden. Dieser Fehler wird mir kein zweites Mal passieren.
