Welcome to FuzzyYellowBalls.com's CZcams channel! We teach tennis on the internet using video. Our video tennis lessons are distinct because we use a greenscreen -- the thing the weatherman stands in front of. But instead of the weather we've got someone hitting a tennis ball! Also, all of our newest lessons are in high definition.
We also have an extensive stroke library -- clips of the top professionals on the tennis tour hitting forehands, backhands, serves, etc. We have two types of clips: 1) high-definition hitting videos and 2) slow-motion hitting videos. These were shot at the 2009 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, CA (www.bnpparibasopen.org). Big thanks to them for letting us film the top tennis pros!

How to fake and poach at the same time in doubles
When it comes to doubles strategy, typically you either fake, or you poach, but not both. However, there's a way you can actually do both at the same time, and it has the added benefit that it's an analytically-sound strategy. It's supported by the stats from the pro tennis tour.

5 Strategies To Beat A Pusher
zhlédnutí 5KPřed 28 dny
Pushers use a strategy called "Trench Warfare," where they stand way behind the baseline so they can run everything down and moonball you to death. There are 5 strategies you can use to prevent a Pusher from using "Trench Warfare" - Strategy #1 - Serve 1 approach Strategy #2 - Return & volley Strategy #3 - Climbing the ladder Strategy #4 - Serve 1 drop shot (Alcaraz uses this one) Strategy #5 -...
Federer has Djokovic trapped!
zhlédnutí 11KPřed měsícem
Roger Federer's favorite play is called "The Swiss Watch." The play starts when Federer hits a backhand slice cross court to pull Djokovic forward. From here, it's difficult for Djokovic to attack down the line, you've got the higher part of the net and smaller part of the court to hit into. So Djokovic is going to play back cross court, and Federer is anticipating this, so he's able to move ar...
This strategy makes serve and volleyers lose their mind
zhlédnutí 4,6KPřed měsícem
So here's a strategy for when you're playing a serve and volleyer. It's a play called "The Lleyton," named after Lleyton Hewitt, one of the greatest returners of all time. Patrick Rafter was one of the greatest serve and volleyers ever, and he said Hewitt was the toughest returner he faced. He described "The Lleyton" as a two shot sequence - first one at your feet, second one passes you. Here's...
This tweak makes sharp angle volleys easy
zhlédnutí 4,2KPřed měsícem
Check out "VolleyRx" here: bit.ly/4a3AlNT The sharp angle volley is typically thought of as a "higher level shot"... But with this tip from Gigi Fernandez (who won 17 Grand Slam Doubles Titles!), it might not be, like it might be easier than you think... Because it just takes a small adjustment to your racket position.
How to "steer" your poach with your shoulders
zhlédnutí 2,5KPřed měsícem
Check out "VolleyRx" here: bit.ly/44rC2Ug So a big "no no" when you're poaching is to hit the ball back where it came from, because no you're on the same side of the court as your partner, but you've sent the ball right back to the person who hit it... So they can just roll the ball down the line into the open court. Controlling the direction of the ball is critical for the poach, and in this v...
My new favorite volley tip

Check out "VolleyRx" here: bit.ly/3Wwq3CP So this is a volley tip from Gigi Fernandez. When I saw this tip, I was like, "OK, this is my new favorite volley tip"... Because it prevents you from hacking down on high volleys and dumping them in the net, or popping up low volleys and giving your opponents an easy put-away.
The "new rule" of passing shots in doubles
zhlédnutí 5KPřed měsícem
Check out "The New Rules Of Doubles" - bit.ly/43OOaN3 Tennis analytics expert Craig O'Shannessy joins me to talk about some new data in doubles. Specifically, what are the analytics behind passing shots? Turns out, they're pretty bad. Like, you don't want to be hitting a passing shot if you can avoid it. There are better (higher percentage) shots to go for. If you liked this video and want an A...

This guy just makes up patterns of play and gives them stupid random names
Anywhere else that would be a even match. On clay Federer was never a match for Nadal
Djokovic is better then both of them dough
if only ruud know how to send proper deep lob
Novak completely dominated Federer in their career. It would be more interesting to find out how he did that.
I wonder if the pros think of this while in the point
Honestly you make it as engineering when it’s not at all. You forgot to add the speed of the wind and balls pressure Why making things simple when you can make it complicated 😂
Serve and Volley off a week down the middle serve was the problem. Don’t need plays to know rip the return to his feet. SnV works by point serving to the corners, pulling returner out of position.
Federer was great, but Djoko won anyway
40:15
Erm he slipped. Djokovic would have just made the backhand pass…
How much did his PR team pay you to push this out? Cuz literally every single Big 3 member was doing this when Tsitsipas wasn’t even on tour yet.
So did Federer win this match with this kyptonite of Djokovic?😂
Not a tennis player but these shorts are dope!
Idemo breeeeee
‘The Lleyton’. Do you really think he was the first player to try and return to a serve-and-volleyer’s feet? It’s been going on for decades.
"Game, blouses" 😂
What a load of rubbish
And then he goes on and loses match while having 2 set points 💀
Joe kovic
it was done by many tennis players before roger
I didn't know about the tactics in tennis
I get the sense that the explanation doesn't quite capture what's going on here.
Outstanding Explanation!
It's really amazing that Federer wins all these demo points but loses the matches. Fed lost at least 5 GS Finals to Novak that he should have won!
I refuse to believe there are "predetermined plays" in tennis...BS
Serve and volley?
@@fuzzyyellowballs no, i meant "Swiss watch"... BS.
This play is called The Tasty Medicine
What's this play gonna be called. I can't wait... wait, what? No play name? Come on guy! Stay on brand!
It's called "Haters Gonna Hate"
I bet federer won
fun fact: Djokovic still won
looks like a larger, more simple pickleball game lol
wow! Federer must have a lifetime wins advantage over Djokovic, yeah?
He is just making stuff up. Don’t listen to this simpleton
Wow you are rly smart, bet you could beat djokovic as well
Good explaination, good play :>> Anyways who won that match 😂
Yeah just need the GOD GIVEN TALENT to pull it off
How many times did Roger beat Nole at Wimbledon?
and then djokovic lifted the trophy, what a good year
LOL true 😂
Federer... The master to all the students of the game.
How can one mispronounce these two names that consistently? Really a sign of poor education.
Thank you for the analysis!
really?
Hit him with the mixup vortex
why they get paid so much money
Good god… 36 years old, and only just now did I realize that tennis has plays. Literally just thought it was hitting it back and forth to wherever the person wasn’t as hard as you could.
Great breakdown
how rude
But who won lol
And, once again, Novak breaks Rogers heart.
Why didn't he use swiss watch when he had two match points ?
