I wouldve agreed with it, if nvidia kpet researching SLI/Nvlink for all of their gpu's. Like dont you want ppl to buy more of your products in one instance, maybe that's why Nvidia didn't kill off Sli at the top end? Then again I still feel like they could've made it so it forces the GPU to work at a performance target with the GPU to handle a work load without the game telling it what it needs or programing that allows 2 gpus to be utilized. Then again Game Devs dont want to optimize for 8 gigs now so BRUH. If I could buy 2 3060 12 gigs that had SLI and worked in SLI ALL the time for every game, I wouldn't mind buying it even today.

Guy A: buys a 80ti class GPU for 1200 dollars (e.g. 2080ti) for 1440p gaming and decides to keep it for 6 years. result: GREAT performance the first 2 years (2019, 2020), good performance the next 2 years (2021, 2022), crap performance the final 2 years (2023, 2024) Guy B: buys a 60 class GPU for 300 dollars and then buys a new 60 class successor gen GPU every 2 years for the next 4 years, so 3 purchases (2060, 3060, 4060) = 900 dollars spent result: good performance the first 2 years (2019, 2020), good performance the next 2 years (2021, 2022), good performance the final 2 years (2023, 2024) Guy B bought more, saved more, as i daresay a 4060 with FG on will perform better in 2023 and 2024 than a 2080ti in 2023 and 2024, and a 3060 (with dlss 2.0 additional modes like performance mode) was as good as a 2080ti with DLSS 1.0 (that didnt have any additional modes) in 2021 and 2022, had nvidia chosen not to retroactively implement dlss 2.0 update for the 20 series cards as well and had just forced them to keep using dlss 1.0 and kept 2.0 a feature of the 30 series only. Now as long as FG remains an exclusive, and AMD offers no cross platform and older gen compatible frame gen of their own, Jensen Huang's quote will still sorta make sense.

The first timestamp is long after Jensen is done talking about the consumer market, the rest is purely aimed for big corporations where that logic makes sense from a business standpoint, NOT a consumer standpoint. Nvidia stopped being a purely consumer oriented business years ago, most of their revenue comes from the business side of things. And their RTX branding gets applied to everything.
