I use the same battery that goes in the drone for my transmitter, all i did was change the connector to jst connector fits at an angle, with a slight gap in the back door, works perfect 10c 7.4v 2700 mah can't go wrong

I have tried this mod on my Hubsan h501s using 11.1v. I'm now back to stock, but now using 4x AA "Energizer Ultimate Lithium" batteries. I kid you not! I got 400m extra range (from the same spot). I have used the same battery set over 15 flights now, each flight ranging from 13min to 23 min. It's still on full bars. Just try them. Their around £5 for a pack of 4.

Hi I've just come across your excellent video. I couldn't understand how you managed to fit a LIPO 11.1V 2.2AH in the battery compartment. I previously fitted a Turnigy battery in my advanced transmitter but it protrudes preventing the cover from closing. There clearly is a difference in battery dimensions between various manufacturers.
