Thread sealant is not necessary on a compression fitting. Threads don't seal water...the compression ring does. All it does is make it harder to remove upon the next repair
I would say too, use a proper adjustable wrench, you scuffed up the nice fitting with that tool.

How about you chop the wall out just enough so the scutchon plate will still conceal it, and weld inside the wall a male 15 tube bush, and then epoxy the void, come back 24 hours later, (fit scutcheon plate) put some loxeal on the male thread and gently screw back a new mini stop valve.. HOW ABOUT THAT?

@@HDPLUMBERS because it's a copper ring or brass ring that has a curved edge which hits the curved edge of the fitting thus sealing the joint. It's the threads that apply pressure on the ring to hit the fitting and make the joint but the actual seal of the fitting is not rte threads it's where the ring meets the fitting.

Awesome! Thank you brother. I just went to Home Depot and bought the kit you mentioned. So much easier instead of kind of scratching the angle stop with the channel locks while trying to tie it.

I would solder the ball valve. Pro press isn't as strong as solder. I have seen them blow.
