This skimmer is the only one small enough for my UNS 60S shallow tank. Sadly, it does not work at all. The plastic parts are sized incorrectly in relation to the glass part, because of this it does not generate enough suction at the top. Been running it a week and it has not reduced oil at all.
Those shrimps are healthy
They are really good quality!
How is the power head holding up? I plan to get a pair, but I hear mixed reviews on them being noisy.
It really good, a little too powerful for my nano aquarium but it makes no noise!

Hello sir 1:29 do you still feed them Repashy Soilent Green ?
I do indeed, it’s great stuff!
please, slow down !
I have been working this! Thanks for the feedback
I'm very curious how the gobys are doing. Can you just add gobies to an existing group? I understood that they would then fight each other out of the aquarium. This would also be the case if there were a larger quantity together. This does not seem to be the case with you. How is your experience? And don't they escape from the aquarium?
Thank you, for the information about this fish. I have been wondering if I should get this fish for my 10 gallon tank. Also, do you have a recommendation for the pellets or flakes I should feed them.
I say use micro pellets! There Hikari Tropical Micro Pellets 22g are what I feed mine, I got a link in the description, check it out!
Thank you, 😁👍
@SirSharkKing no problem at all, hope you get some chili Rasboras!
Where do you get your gobies from ?
Thank you that explains it all in full detail. I will definitely put my water test kit to use.
Glad the video helped!
Which fishes are these? Can you recommend some small sized fishes that can live in a bowl happily? And also how often do you do water change?
They are endler guppies! Rice fish would be a good suggestion for a bowl! I change 25% of the water once at week!
Can we add shrimps? Which shrimp do you recommend for beginners? Also should the bowl be heavily planted like yours or less would be good too?
Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. Now off to find some rocks!
Amazing!!!
Can someone tell me the difference between the semioni and the Atropurpureus? Which one is the more “rare” one?
Atropurpureus will have more of black on the body and especially on the fins when the males are in their breeding colours! I’d say at least in the UK Atropurpureus is rarer than semioni!
Thanks. Is equal for the microsasboras?
Yes it is!
I always hear conflicting info, I read they like hard water not soft
The live in peat swamps so the water will be naturally soft and acidic!
Awesome tip, i will start doing these test asap.
Please do!
Hey Guys, I hope you all enjoyed my 1-minute guide to looking after Chili Rasboras! If you want to check my in-depth guide on how to keep these tiny fish, check the link in the description!
How to remove remaining water? There is still some behind even after using a credit card multiple times...
Maybe worth taking the film off and wiping down the glasses to remove some of the excess water. Try to make sure there is some moisture on the glass and then use the credit card again!
I’m looking at getting this filter for a 45l aquarium. As the spin Pipe is more left & right flow. It will be going into the intake much quicker than going around the whole tank? Do you feel you get good enough circulation with the spin pipe. I was looking at the spin bit not sure if a lily pipe will be a better option. Better circulation & Flow. Would be good to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
I personally used the spin pipe due to me wanting to reduce the flow because of my fish choice. If you want the best circulation I recommend using the standard lily pipe for a planted tank, as this pipe distributes the flow better around the aquarium!
@@KrishsAquariums I have bought both the spin & lily pipes, & will test to see which I prefer. I will also be getting chilli rasboras. Thanks.
@garethpearson7155 with my chillis they are fine with the normal lily pipe! I was being over cautious with the spin pipe at first!
How big are them
About 1-2cm!
I seriously appreciate this video. You just saved me from putting a rock in my aquarium that would have swung the ph.
I’m so happy the video helped you out!
Great video ❤
Thank you very much!
Is it hard and dry or soft and kind of gelatinous?
Soft gelatinous when made fresh and then solid when frozen!
@@KrishsAquariums thank you very much! I imagine it turns gelatinous again after thawing in the aquarium? I have some very picky otos 😭
@Aquaskrimp happy to help!
I have an Atro but I don’t know why my fish so timid. I bought him in 25 July but now he’s always hiding under the rock 😅
Maybe have a few more, I notice when they are in groups they are more active and less shy!
Thank you.
Glad the video helped!
i had 2 really big shrimp die are they just old others seem to doing fine.
I think they were just old! Usually life span is about a year!
Great video.
Thank you son much!
You know, I have 1 atropurpureus, 1 ornatus , 2 semoni and 1 rutilaureus. But my rutilaureus even smooller than your surrufus and it’s 9.96 usd 😢😢😢😅😅😅
Aww that sucks but for 10 usd I’d be so happy to get a rutilaureus at that price!
Thank you for the video. Where would you put Purigen and SATZ Clear Water pads into this filter please? I bought it, but can nor figure out how to add these 🙏🏻
Hi. I'm new to this whole thing and purchased glofish tetras. I didn't know I need at least a 10 gallon tank for 6 pcs. What do I do with my 22 pcs? 😭 I wanna keep them and make em happy so bad.
Either you get bigger tank or you will have to sell them. Your tank is way too overcrowded!
worst review
What did I miss out?
That is incredibly useful information thank you thank you thank you
Happy to help!
Hi from Singapore! Love goby fish....have just ordered a pair of these....
Hey! You won’t be disappointed in them! They are amazing fish!
THANK YOU!!!
Happy to help!
Brilliant video. Straight to the point. Love how you show your fish and shrimp feeding on it. I made yesterday a batch of the community plus. Put it in small hearts tray and frozen it. Subscribed.
Thank you so much for the comment and subscribing! I hope your fish enjoyed it!
is this safe with dwarf or juvy?
What kind of fish is that, sorry?
Watching at 0.75 speed 😁😁
Ahaha thank you!
Whoa new video! Can we get an update on the goby tank please!
Of course! I can work on that!

I loved it.. finally a zero plant real actual riverscape aquarium.. gorgeous boulders btw, probably from Scotland or Ireland, they have most beautiful rocks to look at when you see their rivers and beaches… I loved the look of it and I might only later have added 1x ( just one ) valisneria mini on the back between two centerpiece boulders .. nothing more … but is there any way to prevent algae growth? Maybe even if no fish at all but few amano shrimps? or perhaps cappuccino snails?
Thank you so much! I’m glad I didn’t add plants to this scape! I think the boulders are from Scotland. I think a vallis would look really nice, tempting idea. I think having low lighting, good flow and some shrimp and snails will keep algae levels low!
@@KrishsAquariums that is what I too like and think… been watching few videos on riverscaping and they all get much algae and always add too many plants, while the whole idea of riverscapes is the Zen/Serenity/clarity of the water and boulders and truly when you filled the tank, those boulders came to life; it’s like boulders and gravel and stones scream for water to be beautiful.. why add plants unless for those scapes starting from say river shore to river bed in hillstream shape toward only sand and no plants but only at the base with biggest rocks .. I have a 28l tank, not big but if I find two beautiful big boulders with cracks and vains in red or blue and other natural tones, I ll make it.. only Dennerle Mekong sand (trust me, it is beautiful) and some WIO Heaven on the edges or the bed surface itself, few gravels between rocks and a true Zen aqua riverscape with few chilli rasbora’s .. might add a piece or two of wood with Bucephalandra wavy or blue on top to add green hue’s only
What material is the floating ring?
It’s made from air line tubbing!
@KrishsAquariums thank you! How did you make it? I need to do that so my floating plants don't get sucked up into filter 😉
'appreciate the unobtrusive, gentle background music.
Thank you so much!
I know they’re very small and cute but also rather hardy, but if a 28liter or 6gallons tank, with boulders/gravel/sand and some wood only, how many of them would be ok to keep? I’m very careful not to overpopulate a tank + only few amano shrimps in it
I’d say about 15-20!
@@KrishsAquariums wow! I thought 7 max
Love your videos, how many gobies do you keep in your tank?
I got about 15-17, I think!
Can you keep chilli rasboras for over a period of 8-12 months without losing them disappearing without any reason... ??? Has anyone successfully done this ??
It’s super hard to be honest there is alot of different factor, the way best to keep them alive for a long time is find a really good supplier! I got batch of 20 a few months ago and they have all survived from a new supplier I found!
Can you please list the plants that's in it? Thanks! Your work looks really cool!
Bucephalandra Lamandau Mini Red, Cryptocoryne Lucens, Helanthium tenellum "Green", Limnophila sessiliflora and Phyllanthus Fluitans!
I live in Japan. Where and how can I catch these?
Japanese island groups of Yaeyama, Ryukyu (in the latter it’s been found as far north as the Osumi Islands, close to mainland Japan)!
thought I was gonna have to go out and buy some kind of acid, little did I know I had some in my api test kit this whole time👍👍👍
Just a time saving tip right!
Definitely 😁 will give it a try
Please do!
I love small bits of seiryu stone to maintain hardness for shrimp & other hard water loving critters. What I found that was spiking my nitrates/ites constantly in one of my tanks was a particular piece of lava rock whereas the rest of my lava rocks were fine. So there could be problems with individual stones & maybe some bacteria colonies on them, so it would be a good idea to start a beneficial bacteria colony on your porous stones for a week or so before starting a new tank with it.
Oh wow that’s interesting, I’ll have to do some research into this!
