This video isn't just another guide; it's a sneak peek into the incredible journey we had from Bangalore to Ooty. Forget dry facts, this is about feeling the wind in your hair (even virtually) and hearing the excited chatter of other explorers.
The drive itself is an experience. Ooty is about 300 kms from Bangalore and offers an extremely scenic drive. Let me tell you, those rumors about the challenging drive? True story. But trust me, for experienced drivers, it's a thrilling adventure!
There are two route options available to Ooty:
1. Bangalore - Mysore - Kalahatti Ghat - Ooty [ Only for Expert Drivers ]
2. Bangalore - Mysore - Gudalur - Ooty [ Ok for less experience drivers]
Now, for those who love the beauty of hills but maybe prefer a slightly less heart-pounding experience, there's a fantastic alternative route that's just as scenic. We opted for the calmer (but still breathtaking!) Route 2: Bangalore - Mysore - Gudalur - Ooty.
Remember, a prior hill driving experience is a must for both the routes.
For those, who have driven in the hills before but still hesitant, then you can take the easier route, but yet scenic.
