I was roughly 12 or 13 years old when I first heard Art Of Trance - Kaleidoscope. It evoked emotions in me that I never felt before, namely like if I were to die that day, as long as this song was playing everything would be okay. It's a strong, soaring, melancholy yet joyful song so simple in execution that even nearly 30 years later it still makes me tear up. It was so important to me when I began DJing only two years later that the first records I bought was Art Of Trance - Wildlife On One and Clanger's Seadog. Thank you for this video. Platipus is second only to Hooj as my favorite and most sound-defining labels of all time.

As far as I know this remix came out in 93 and not in 92 … I remember heard it and I was blown away 🎉🎉 no one should try to make another remix after this perfection.. after so many years I can still say that this is the biggest track and the remix ever made in the electronic music ❤

epic 🏆classic trance melody

Minimal techno is so underapreciated and is honestly like in the top five most important genres of the 2000s.

Pole Folder (especially album Zero Gold for me) is a hidden gem... Great choice, thanx! And what about trying *Dousk* instead of "Dust" now? :c) His album D.I.Y. (2008) is great, I love the track *Sidewalk Lovin* - is amazingly atmospheric (and a great build up), I recommend it.

I’m 53 next month and I was part of the start of the dance museum c scene. This album is one of the best albums ever made, never mind the dance mix album of all time. This album still takes me on a musical journey ever time I listen to it. The legends this made of 2 of the best DJs already on the circuit, is totally unchallenged. Open your ears, lay back and enjoy the beauty of the music and the unbelievable skills of these 2 DJs.

The club at 53 seconds was Hot to trot a night put on by the mighty Progress and nothing to do with Renaissance so not sure why its shown on here . Both clubs had a night in Derby in the 1990 s and both were an epic night although Progress at the wharehouse was something very special

As good as it was, Northern Exposure was just something that completely blew me away. I've never heard anything since that was so different (but outstanding) to this day. Looking back, it was probably when progressive trance first came about and wasn't even a genre yet and was being mixed with progressive house. Fuck I miss buying records like that on a weekly basis 😂 they were all classics back then 😂

Absolute favourite album. Had the original CD, somehow lost it, re-purchased it but a couple of the tracks had been changed on one CD? Either way a superb sonic journey, masterfully chosen and mixed by DJ’s at the absolute top of their game. Not sure House/Progressive House/EDM got any better than this period. For me the Renaissance Fathers of Sound follow up album comes close to this too.

The 3 track run of Bulgarian - Soul to Bare - Everything's Not You is such a magical sequence. John Graham had his hand in so many big tracks of the 90s and 00s between Quiver, Tilt, Space Maneuvers, Stoneproof and probably several other monikers I am forgetting
