In this video I’m showing how to delete your vacuum pump either with Oem bolts or in my case I use the ICT billet plate as a fancy looking cover. This works for 2014-2018 Silverados, sierras, tahoes, and Yukons with the L83 or L86 gen V LT motors This is great for better more consistent and predictable braking. Awesome series. Keep up the good work!
where did u get the fenders

What’s your suspension set up on your white Chevy?
@@dodge-yota51 on the white Chevy it’s a max track 3” lift spindle and a lift block delete on the rear leafs sitting on 35” tires
Love the cop just sitting there
Those look sick my guy
Whats the budget. And what have you spent so far.
@@rayvettevlogs I think I’ll do a break down of cost at the end.. but I’m gonna say around 50,000 not including the truck…
@connorellisx damn, I'm gonna be picking up at 2015 silverado. Would love to do this but dammn the price. Gotta pay to play I guess. Love the content. I was so nervous when u cut the rear fenders. I don't know if I would have the balls to cut up a good truck
@@rayvettevlogs trust me I’m terrified! I mean there’s a ton of options that aren’t nearly this involved, like getting an LT kit and rear shocks that get you out and having fun with a badass truck, this level frankly is just all consuming at this point for me but I am really enjoying it!
@connorellisx it's definitely a badass build I wish one day my truck will be like this. I'm just kinda on the fence about the afm bullshit with Chevy. Ima be picking up a used 15 silverado. Ima have to do the afm delete I'm buying the truck for a v8 not a 4cylinder. So dumb. I would love to get a 2005 like my bros but they are all beat and a ton of mile . He made it all full long travel. It's not caged but it's close to what u have done.
@@rayvettevlogs honestly I don’t hate on the AFM, lifter may fail on you at like 120-150k miles, but that’s the perfect opportunity to throw a cam in and make a repair a fun upgrade instead. The LT motors make a lot more power and are all aluminum blocks so they are a lot lighter. It’s a better motor in my opinion
Which headers did you get? Texas speed says there long tube headers won't work because I have a 4 wheel drive.
So in this video they are the Texas speed ones, I’m now going to the Doug thorley headers!
@connorellisx did you have to modify them at all or was it a direct bolt on procedure for the tsp and are the doug headers better?
@@Jeff-ti4pd so for me specifically the Texas speed ones needed to get hammered in to clear my shock towers. And the Doug thorley ones clear without that, also they are a tri y design and makes a lot more usable power rather than all at super high rpm
@connorellisx ok cool, I'm here in round rock so texas speed is just down the road from, that's why I wanna go with them. Also thank you for your replies and help with info, I do greatly appreciate it. So basically they got scratched up a little bit hammering them in to clear the mount?
@@Jeff-ti4pd for me it was a lot of hammering, but that’s because of my suspension. Stock shock towers it should clear without any issues
You think this will fix my brakes running out of boost in stop and go driving?
Yes!
Baddd asss ! I have the same truck and want to run a similar set up thanks for the great info !!!
Can u run a catch can after the delete
You can if you run a T fitting. I’d also run a check valve
@jeep0312 how, intake to booster or some other rout I do get oil in my throttle bode from k&n intake lines
@@JUANCRAMIREZ19 Ditch the K&N filter.
@Guillotines_For_Globalists yea I did put in a dry air filter I'm saying I'm getting motor oil.
@@JUANCRAMIREZ19 Must be coming through the ports that supply fresh air to the valve covers from the huge plastic intake tube in front of the throttle body.
Is that the tapered 95mm to 87mm kateck adapter or the straight through one?
This one is tapered because the intake manifold isn’t ported to 95mm, this I felt was a temporary solution til I get an aftermarket intake manifold
@connorellisx thank you bud, I assume the was nice and flush as well on the inside after bolting the adapter?
@@Jeff-ti4pd yep!
This fits the 5.3L ? How do you get around the shipping? I have been getting my stuff sent to a friend out of state. 😂.
That’s pretty much your best option, I have friends that ship to one state and then pay shipping twice pretty much😂
Sick build. I did control arms and fox 2.5s in front and 2.0s in rear probably gonna do shackles and some Deavers for my 2016 Silverado makes me happy to hear you have high miles I have 170k on mine 🤣 what was the name for that bolt marking paint?
It’s made by Revlock race supplies! And dude that’s the goal for a great daily driver, my next truck I plan on doing something very similar to that😅
Aye dude , when you did your fenders did you cut them or just mount the fiber to the dirt king fender wells?
Both, originally I had to cut out the stock fenders and later down the road I went to the DK inner fenders, both are a massive pain, if you can swing it doing both at the same time is a great option as it makes mounting the glass much easier
@@connorellisx thanks for the reply bud
Awesome video! I was going to do maintenance to my truck and replace the vacuum pump belt but I’m going this route instead! My truck has 109k miles and so far no problems with the pump but I’m not gonna take the chance of it failing on me.
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road? We're the pro auto lighting company for nearly 20 year and hoping to do some sponsorship with you!
Your roll cage build resembles a bomb shelter. 👍
Hahah as much as I hope to never use it… I think it will do its job more than adequately😅
Sick ass build
Thank you!!
Hell yeah bud
Hell yeah!
Rad as usual
are you going with a one piece fiber front end?
Negative, I’ll be running the standard hood and fenders set up!
Does this work on a 4.3
I’m not sure if the 4.3 even has a vacuum pump or not because it doesn’t have DOD I don’t think
Making good progress for a dude in his garage!
Love to see it coming along a few more steps! Can’t wait to see the truck completed!
Me as well! Few more things knocked off the mile long list. Fortunately this is starting to show all the little things that tend to be overlooked
Did something similar. I put a 6.2 intake and throttle body on my 5.3, added a throttle body spacer with a vacuum port straight to the booster. Not much of a change in brake feel and only gained 1.2psi of vacuum over the stock pump. Maybe the bigger intake or a failing booster?
The biggest thing is going to be braking consistency, the vacuum pumps tend to lose pressure extremely quickly when using them repeatedly, this being a performance built truck having that braking pressure when you need it over and over is huge, but for normal daily driving I wouldn’t consider deem it necessary. But these Chinese pumps do fail often and this is a much cheaper solution than replacing them
Hey brother man!! Where do you get your bumper & valence?
Hey dude! So the bumper/skid plate is custom fabricated, and the valance is made by a company called fiberwerx, it goes with the wider front fenders!
@@connorellisx sugar biscuits, having a really hard time finding designs/packages to do something similar on my 18…thank you though for the reply!! If you happen to have footage, a video would be siick…not much for our body styles
@@Finallyh3r3 as for the bumper take a look at Drew’s fab on instagram, he makes a really clean looking one. Eventually on the build series I’m doing I’ll get to doing my own Prerunner style bumper with the valence again but I’m still a few months away from there!
Looks so good. Subscribed
What’s your suspension setup here?
In this video it is a dirt king long travel race kit on the front, stock rear. But now it’s in the middle of getting all of that upgraded again
Thanks for this! Going to apply this to my build!
Heck yeah! Super easy upgrade and one less part to worry about failing down the road!
Did you need to retune ?
I did not, but going from the 87-95 isn’t a massive jump, I would say if you were going from the 79-95mm you may want to
@@connorellisx oh okay because on my L83 I did the L86 swap manifold and Tb , headers e85 and intake is tuned for that. but I ordered the LT5 and going to port the manifold
@@Jose-ew6hj new tune never hurts, I’m sure cause you already have the first tune out of the way a retune is pretty cheap. With the addition of the ported manifold I’d say that I’d retune to get the best results for sure
super wicked gnar
Looks killer dude, coming along nicely. Can't wait to see the LT kit🤘
Looking good.
Dang this is gonna be a wild set up can’t wait to see the end!

What headlights are those? They look great! Also, is your truck a 2014?
Those were anzo headlights, I wasn’t a huge fan, as they started getting super foggy really quickly. And my truck is a 2015 but same thing as the 2014 as far as headlights and grille

Good progress.
Thanks!
Does the cage come with instructions on the order to put things in and weld them?
Not really, it comes with a printed out form showing where things kind of should go off of, maybe other ones that have more done have better more detailed instructions but I’m the second one on this specific cage
I have to say your really good at sanding the tubes 😏 but great video keep it up!
What can I say, I have a bit of practice😂
Love to see the progress dude! You’re a few steps ahead of me!
Haha heck yeah dude! It’s quite the addiction😂
Keep the updated videos coming. Can’t wait to see when you install the dash.
That should be a fun one😅, I need to get the engine cage done so I can have it all tied into the cab cage then I can go back to the dash! And the seats i can’t wait for
@@connorellisx who was the guy you hired to finish weld the cage. Where is he out of?
@@f4mdtwr his name is Dylan Cullwell, he’s out of Corona, CA It’s not the cheapest option but man to have everything final welded perfectly was worth every penny
why didnt you port throttlebody?
I personally believe it’s a lot of money for negligible gains. I would rather buy an entire manifold if I were to go that far
Not worth porting a throttle body. Hardly any difference
Mpg?
I wasn’t geared at the time and I was getting about 12-13 mpg
