I play around with the 2 point setting. But I don't know what I'm doing. Generally on all my tvs, I try to just remove the blue.

Since you owned both would you say the Qm7 is a step up ? I also own the Q7and it’s great just not as good as my high end Samsung but I also bought the Qm7 for the bedroom hoping it will be better than last years or at least closer to the Samsung

All I know is I have a Sony Bravia and this guy is right.. They're trash. My screen started to go bad within a year .. black pixels all over the screen in huge ugly strips. Sony used to be great .. Their quality has gone completely down hill. For this guy to shill .. he'd have to be hyping some other product. It's obvious he's bought something he's not happy with .. Seems you just want to brag about all the money you threw down the toilet with these tvs. Wait until yours fail. I wonder if you'll be singing the same song then? 😂

Not really. That's actually my issue with the S90c. I can't quite get the color to where I want. Just because I HATE so-called "Calibrated" modes doesn't mean I want my picture to be "oversatured" either. I like somewhere between LG and Samsung. Some color pop without it being too much with a lot of brightness - without being blue. I don't like washed out.

f off. my picture wasn't "Oversaturated". Of course every picture looks "Oversaturated" to someone who likes a dead, washed out, dark, pile of garbage.

thanks for letting me know. I used to issue copyright strikes on people but it's never done anything. Sadly it's the world we live in. I'm always surprised people would steal my poorly done videos. LOL.

@@MichelleAlexandria-EM You're most welcome. From what I'm aware, the previous 2 youtubers who I've warned as well, gave that youtuber a strike for stealing their content. If you sent in a strike, it might just deal a finishing blow on his channel. CZcams removes channels which have 3 strikes.

I ended up getting a 5 in 1 Switch with Remote. It works well enough. But annoying Sony is still doing this crap for the 4th yr. Even though I've given up on the idea that HDMI 2.1 means anything because the Console Manufacturers "Lied". Well they didn't, developers are cheap and lazy and not taking advantage of these console's full power. Now in Sony's defense, it's out of their Control, I guess. But every other TV Maker has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports now.

@@checarlos956214 Here is what I observed, brighter picture (quite a lot brighter), blacks are blacker (this makes for much better contrast in the picture). Overall the picture is improved in fact it looks great and a measurable (to my eyes) improvement over the x950. Now is it worth spending a considerable sum of money for that, it is up to you. For me yes, I like the latest tech f it is better but the x950 is also a great TV.

@georgemason4083 Hi, personal opinion here. The Bravia 9 for a start is much brighter and the blacks are darker, black even, this gives a much better contrast. Colours stand out and the picture is superb. The x950 is also an excellent TV but there is a definite noticeable improvement with the Bravia 9. I am really pleased with it and have no regrets buying it. The question is, is it worth spending the extra when you already have an excellent TV, for me it is.

@@MichelleAlexandria-EM after going through the full comment section, there isn’t much or any at all Sony fanboy going on, I think the larger issue is anybody in 2024 looking to bait anyone out for this type of negativity. I did however see a couple people mention like myself, that the video just was poorly done. I’ll go back to what I said initially in my first comment, I don’t have a rebuttal to your claims to the tv, as I am now back at my home in the space of my Bravia 9, I don’t have the same kinds of issues that you have nor am I looking for those issues either. You might not have a desire to make money off content but you absolutely are a content creator. And there is no perfect tv. The mention of that not being said about shoes, not true either, this from a man that owns more than 400 pairs of shoes, lol. Everything I’m into, I’m into at high quantity volume. I'm a Sony fan boy but if shit is broken, shit is broken.

It shouldn't, but it does. It ties Peak Luminance Setting to it's Auto Dimming Setting in SDR, which I showed in this video. I think it's forcing you to use the Light Sensor. Which is dumb, since, again, this is an LCD Tv not an OLED.

I haven't watched to much HDR content, nor played with those settings.

Honest? She made the false assertion that Sony claimed it could get to 4000 nits, which they never did.

I ended up going with 100 inch U8K. I will have tons of videos on that once I get it mounted so stay tuned!

I know I'm describing ABL! That's my point! It's an LCD TV not a damn OLED! And I'll have it in any mode I want. It's amazing how I can literally show you people exactly what's happening and you idiots want to pretend like you didn't see it. The picture mode has nothing to do with this! It is the setting itself that's forcing it.

@@MichelleAlexandria-EM I meant for performance evaluation. Low bit rate 1080p or 720p content is not going to help make your case about ABL effects.

@@andrewParker-p1s ..I wholeheartedly agree..I currently have a LG C3 and in the process of trying to get rid of it because of horrible color banding and slight vertical banding..when I had the Sony it didn’t have any of that..

fair enough, but as I repeatedly say, I’m really not a AV Reviewer and I don’t buy tvs just to return them. It is not my fault all these tvs are broken garbage. I’m not even expecting much from a tv, but if I’m paying top dollar, I expect them to work. That’s not a large ask. I explain exactly why I return TVs. I’ve never once returned a tv simply because I didn’t like it. I’m sick of people claiming I return TVs for shits and giggles and say things like they “clearly aren’t defective”. What the actual f? You don’t have the TV I do in your house. You know better than most, the panel lottery is real, just because you have a TV that works doesn’t mean I do. Just because you like a tv, doesn’t mean I have to. So am I supposed to call you a liar when you said your S95c didn’t work? How many times has that TV failed on you? Never once did I call you a liar just because my S90C has been fine. I’m pretty disappointed that you of all people would claim I’m lying about my issues. When I clearly showed pictures and videos. Oh right, it’s because I don’t like a Sony TV, so I must be lying. Didn’t you return the G3 because you didn’t like it? How many times do I have to say the A95L was BROKEN, LG G4 was BROKEN, TCL QM8 BROKEN, this TV technically not “BROKEN” still “Unwatchable”. I PROVED this in videos and Pictures! This is why I didn’t want to do this video because Sony Fanboys are quick to attack people. If those TVs worked, I probably never would have done a video on them. Like I said, no video on the S90C. Am I supposed to keep a Tv that literally crashed multiple times a day or wouldn’t even start until I unplugged and did a hard reset (A95L), a TV that crashed on Input switching (G4) and I couldn’t use my HDMI Arc port for 3 days, or just be happy with a TV that had clearly visible White Bands all over the picture (TCL)? These tvs are $5,000 they better work FLAWLESSLY. Telling people to settle for broekn crap when spending that kind of money is nonsense. As to the Best Buy thing, again, it is NOT my fault these TVs have major defects and Best Buy doesn’t have a proper demo room so the ONLY way to properly judge a tv is to get one in your own environment. Come on don’t be like everyone else, you ARE a reviewer yourself and you yourself have had numerous issues and returned TVs. The ONLY guide I have are the reviews, so it isn’t like I’m buying off brand products without doing my research first. I’m finding I can no longer trust reviewers (and I AM/Was a paid, professional reciewer, just not an AV reviewer) because my experience with these products are vastly different. I still think you are great and yes this was a rant because I’m frustrated and annoyed as h over how broken all these TVs are, it shouldn’t be this hard to get tv. And I’m not paying thousands of dollars just to settle on something that only works 90 percent of the time.

@@MichelleAlexandria-EM personally I don’t have a track record of returning TVs, to date I’ve only returned the LG G3, that was exchanged with a G2. I’ve swapped the S95D for a unit that worked because I broke it. So I’m not at all in that category and I’m not attacking you, just offering you some feedback. If you’re going to make videos for people you gotta understand this is what comes with it, you need to remove the emotion and learn to see the context behind the message. You ARE a reviewer, doesn’t matter if you like the label or not, and if you are happy with S90C then ask yourself why you keep buying these top TVs, what ends up happening is you make content on them, doesn’t matter if your motive is to make money off the content but it puts you on the know and that’s what you get from it. The TVs aren’t broken, again I’ll say they just aren’t what you want. Broken and misunderstood technology are two different things, Michelle, I say this with no malice. Bravia 9 doesn’t have terrible motion and I am deflect the mention that I myself could ever be considered anything but an unbiased owner of multiple technology panels, to date I am probably the strongest CZcamsr that actually owns the most models from TVs and monitors without a handshake or partnership. So again my comment isn’t to attack you but to help you see that the execution of the video even though you made it known you were frustrated, could have been done better, after all you are making the video for us to watch. If you were doing this just to hear yourself then you know you could have made this private. I bricked the tv as in it did not work but there is video evidence of such you might have seen. You crashing out in the comment section from feedback only shows others not to deeply engage, sorry I ruffled your feathers.

@@MichelleAlexandria-EM See it comes to a point if every TV you get is "broken" the chance of that is statistically slim. The only thing broken is the person holding the remote not knowing what they are doing. You'd say a car is broken if it's an automatic and you put it in drive and it moves forward. Don't put up content like this spreading BS, when it is you that have no understanding of how it works. Just return the TV and sit there with whatever you have.

These are the settings I use. HDR isn’t the issue, it’s SDR which is 90 oercent of the content I watch. HDR is fine.
