While watching this video I was suddenly inspired to pair a new seafoam color top I just bought with some brown pants that I've have, which I adore. I always thought that I would be stuck pairing them with only white or black, but you inspired me! Also i actually have a brown leather jacket arriving soon that I accidently bought, thinking that it was black. Kismet?? 🤔😄

Brown looks so beautiful paired with other colours. Especially love the sky blue and brown, the pale grey and brown, and the vibrant red and brown combos. Great video, thanks Alarna!

Great video Alarna, your knowledge of colour is fantastic and tips so helpful. Also love that you mention Aussie brands, they are a bit underrated on social media yet their quality is so good for the price you pay. Would love a video of what colours not to wear for each colour season. I definitely struggle to wear peach and certain shades of camel. It took me years to find a camel trench that didn't wash me out, and it happens to be the current Sportscraft trench in a dark camel. This could be a good video idea, how to choose the right shade of camel because when you finally get it right it can be a game changer.

I personally enjoyed the longer content! I'm in the US and fall is around the corner, so maybe a good video idea would be transition pieces or styles that can work in both fall and spring seasons (booties, cardigans, etc) since I know your hitting the warmer months in your location.

7:12 Hidden cat! You say you can steam polyester, but I try to banish it from my wardrobe. I would like a video on how to tell quickly if a fabric contains polyester or lycra in stores, so you can skip them. Especially when thrifting, labels are often cut out.

My con for capsule wardrobes is that they are a pain-in-the-ass to keep clean. I wash similar items together. So once a month I do a button-up wash and iron day. If I would have a capsule wardrobe, I need to wash a single or two button ups every week. I'm a thriftaholic with 25 capsule wardrobes I guess. I buy nothing new, yet there is such an abundance of nice stuff for peanuts out at goodwill.

Totally agree on bringing a tape measure. But a misconception is that you should measure your sizes. Never do that. Know the sizes of good fitting clothes! Waist, rise, pit-to-pit, collar-to-hem. For example, if I measure my waist it is 85cm, yet the nice yet comfortable fitting pants have a 80-82cm waist. So that is quite a bit off. I also advise to bring a loupe. Those labels can be really nasty to read. I skip anything that has polyester or lycra in it, so I need to be able to read the label. 6 point size letters in grey on black are hard to read for anybody, even if your eyes are young and fresh.
