I got my dentures last month and I can just not get used to them...sigh, I have a sore spot on the top denture and have to go back to the dentist to have him adjust it but I am dragging my feet, I use the seabond sheets and like them, but I haven't learned how to talk properly with dentures either, I am kind of down about the whole situation to be honest.

A short that's actually useful to someone!

Yessss It's a game changer indeed. I love my polygrip paste and powder together and it lasted 15 hrs. I believe it could last more.I ate chicken wings and my teeth is still in place. I'm going to try eating a salad( baby arugula and baby spinach) on Friday.

What a great video! It makes total sense to use the adhesives as you suggested, for short(er) periods. It's even better that you show us exactly which ones you use for this purpose. Thank you for all of your Shorts and Videos. Your dry sense of humor and can-do attitude keep me watching.

I used the polygrip in the green tube it was ok but didn't last,then the seabond " Uppers" but it didn't last all day either, especially while eating pieces of chicken which felt they were coming out. So after looking at many videos on " powders" Especially the " Fixadent" but didn't want the zinc so i bought the polygrip powder . It was ok, but it was still like the rest. What i did was use the polygrip cream and the polygrip powder, and it worked for 12 hrs 8am to 8pm. It could have lasted more hrs but it was bedtime. The only thing is taking out the dentures was easy but the adhesive you must brush out from roof of the mouth.Finally I found something that worked for me while eating.

You need a new set of denture with good suction

Im 8 days in with immediate lower denture. It took me 7 days to get mine adjusted enough to make not hurt but they slid around. They put soft liner in, and that helps with comfort put i also can't eat chew yawn take bite etc. without them poping up or out and like you were saying, I can't differ the denture from the food while trying to chew. I got two or three months until they put in posts to attach bottoms to. Praying those will hold enough to chew and tear food. Sandwiches seem hardest to get a bit off of. Tough bread doesn't like to tear and tries to pulls teeth out my mouth.

Sally, I want to tell you... you are not alone,8 months in... I still hate mine too! and I hate my dentist too! I feel so belittled and talked down to! this is the worst experience of my life.

I hope you didn't go for the deal of $800.00 for perms and a reline of the temps that were never made correctly in the first place. I guess I'll find out in the next video......fingers crossed you weren't forced to keep those ridiculous temps.😤

Oh my! Those are some of the worst temporary dentures I've ever seen. $5,700.00 ?!?! Girl, I'm watching from beginning to end, so I truly hope your dentist did something to correct that mess! On to the next video! ❤

Stain away crystals knock out all kinds of stuff off my dentures. I.use stain away at least once a week to do a deep clean on my dentures

You have to just reach that point you trust someone and take a chance

They look good. Keep wearing them and have the dentist adjust them. You'll get used to them if you already haven't.

I'm 9 days in from full extraction and getting dentures. I hate my dentures now. They just don't feel right at all. Of course, I'm not expecting them to feel the same as natural teeth, just I feel something is off. My gums are healing quite well, so I tried to eat a sausage yesterday. It was so so painful. Probably, it's due to the bone spurs still in my gums. Understandably, I feel so discouraged right now. Hopefully, it will improve over time. Watching your video gives me some hope that I will eat normally again. I love food and got dentures hoping to get back some quality of life. Thank you!

So take them out and eat when your gums have healed ! Then you can clean the gunk and gong gongs off, refresh your mouth and put them back in again , in 30 years time nobody is going to be bothered wether or not you had dentures.

People especially the younger demographic nowadays days are just judgemental and insecure its impossible to be real with them. NO one is perfect we've all got flaws but were adults not insecure little teenagers if im getting put down or judged for who I am then im out the door simple as that thats not what an intimate relationship is about. Its all done in privacy and discretion respect is key and you shouldn't settle for anything less. Bitings not a problem believe me... just dont take the whole thing off with ya at the end and its all good. 😅😅

I just noticed that you posted this update. I have the same attitude as you. Somehow, it was a lot easier to adjust to divorcing my husband than it is to wearing these teeth. 😊 I just had my re line yesterday. The top it's a little tighter but, the bottom is still moving all over. I'm going to have to think of a way to make myself laugh because, my teeth are clacking together.. I don't know if it's better that you go to work and socialize with other people so, maybe you forget about them for a minute or two. Or maybe being home and not seeing anyone and just having to sit with this and not interact with anyone may be easier or not. I'm trying to be grateful in my life. I never was the silver lining kind of person. But, I find that I have to be now. Please continue to make up days even if it's just for a handful of us. We seem to be going down the same road together. I like your purple lipstick. 🌷🌸 Last night, I told myself that I don't have to ask anybody at the end of the day if I have anything in my teeth cuz I can just set them on the counter and look for myself. I think I'm going to be ordering the mashed potatoes at restaurants for some years to come. I like mashed potatoes. It's hard not to want to just go and eat ice cream since it's the easiest. I don't need to gain weight and have these teeth. I commiserate with you about having pimples in your wrinkles. The audacity of those zits! I've known for years that they had been working on a way to regrow teeth and I just heard this week that they have moved into human trials. If I had known, I would have held on longer with my teeth because, you need to have your teeth for them to regrow the root system and the rest of the teeth to reform. There's got to be a reason for everything. I have no idea what it is.😅

Sally, I see that it has been a month since you made this video. I wonder how you're doing? I think there are 45 million people in the US who were dentures. But, somehow, that's just not comforting. I think of people who have lost a limb and how they had to adjust. Please let me know how you're doing now. I see the difference between your immediate and what you ended up with.. it's not your fault that you asked for them to be a little bit bigger and maybe not quite as white. I have never heard of anybody that didn't get to try on their wax tryins including all the teeth. In fact, many people have to send them back two and three times until they're the right size teeth and the right color. What your dentist did was just not even ethical. He wanted to read your mind telepathically. There should definitely have been a try in that would have been identical to the ones that you chose for your final set. Have you been able to eat or even enjoy food at all again? Life is full of surprises but, this one could have been avoided if you're trying to say just followed the normal path. I think I'm kind of the opposite of you. When I need to replace a refrigerator I just walked down the road looking from side to side and then I point at one. I don't like change and so my mind decides where it's going to be and that's where it stays. I do like your couch very much. After hearing your story, I would rather make a fuss and take a long time to get things right. I understand the pressure of when you're sitting in that chair. 🌸

No one can rely prepare u enough for dentures especially a dentist that does not have them but I’m sure at your Garbo would know enough to rely do your research beforehand and watch a lot of your tube videos on it since u are able to make them and post them about your own and u would and should know since u wanted immediate dentures there never going to fit right they have either made them with your old teeth still in or they made them right after extraction either way it’s a no brainer they will not fit right especially since your mouth and gums will change and shrink over time 🙄 and why would u ever accept the dentures if they did not look right especially the bottom one u have to sign off on a pice of paper before u leave the office with thoes dentures saying your happy with the way the look if u did not like the look why sign it why not have them remade and not sign till your happy with them I would of never signed just seeing how the bottom was 😮 and u should not have to eat mush foods or soft foods still that’s taking it a little to far u should be able to eat more things try toughening up your gums it may just help u out in the long run
