Mini Alice Journal / Birthday / Keepsake card - quick flip through
I didn't film myself making this one as I've made most of the elements before in different videos, but as I was immediately giving it away as a gift, I wanted to record a flip through for posterity so thought I would share!

Such an amazing card, I’d want to keep forever.
What fun, maybe the decorative glass kinda of flat beads. Or bubble wrap, what happens if you crunch up the paper first,? Or crunch plastic wrap, different papers, all kinds of ideas are coming forward _ thanks
How did you dry them please?
I just love this so much. First of all, I have several copies of that bird book and I have always loved collage, but I'm really impressed by the combination of all the techniques you used in making the Bird Book. The vibe of the completed project is really powerful.
Thank you so very much for this tutorial! It is so helpful and I feel even I can do it!
The constant camera cuts are making this confusing for me but I do love the idea.
Very nice, but i haven't seen rusty cans or bottle tops in a long time, everything is plastic now... Guess I'll have to make my own. Would love to see a video of what you did with these. TFS!!
I still see plenty - mainly in car parks. Or you can make your own by soaking in a bucket for a few days and bashing them with a hammer! Thanks for watching!
Great idea, but I don’t care for the rust
What is the weight of your paper? It seems thicker or heavier than just regular regular paper.
It's a mixture. Some is standard copier paper but a few pages are heavier. I can't remember the exact weight but it's only a little heavier than standard.
This is so interesting. I'm going to my husband's garage and get some items to rust up.
That sounds like an excellent idea! I keep an eye out on roads and pavements for rusty bits!
what type of paper did you use?
Just standard copier paper mostly but I did have few sheets of something a little heavier but I can't remember what it was as it was just in a big pile in my cupboard. It wasn't card anyway!
Did you iron the paper? Cool effects ❤
No, I put the dried paper under a large pile of books for about an hour and that flattened it. Thanks :)
This is a beautiful little booklet. Very charming. TFS
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous results...did I miss it...but what weight/make of paper are you using? 🤔 It doesn't look like cheap computer paper! It held up very well...Xxx
Yes mostly cheap copier paper. A few sheets were slightly heavier but it was just paper in my stash so not sure of exact weight. It wasn't card anyway.
Hi Lisa! I was searching for new inspirations on CZcams and stopped here. I liked it. So you made yourself a new subscriber! Greetings from Québec Canada!
Thanks for subbing! I'm happy you're here! I'm just replying to comments then going to edit a new video!
Thank you for sharing, great ideas 😀
Well... a combination of using rust with tea and coffee, the bottle tops. Not so much a secret I guess...
Where are you putting the wet ones as you take them out?
I hang them to dry on a clothes drier with an old towel underneath to catch the drips. When they are dry I put them under a pile of heavy books to flatten them.
Lovely papers! Can you share the weight of the papers you used and also how you dried them (did you hang them up)?
I hang them to dry on a clothes drier with an old towel underneath to catch the drips. When they are dry I put them under a pile of heavy books to flatten them. Most of the paper was standard copier paper. Some sheets a little heavier weight but I'm not sure exactly as it was just from a pile of paper I had and I'd lost the packet.
I would love to see how you dried them.

What is the weight of your paper? Is it a cotton based paper?

Interested experiments with the rusty items, net bags and stencils. Thank you for sharing.💜🐞
You are so welcome!
I love the intuitive approach to your art, that's how I do it, plan? What's planning? 😍😍
A lady after my own heart!
So what was the secret that noone tells you???
Thank you so much! I was surprised how popular it has been! Most of my videos had very few views, a few a couple of hundred, then this one seems to have gone viral!
So guess that answers my question. I don’t like click bait… That means I don’t need to watch. 😂 but I did anyway. Thanks for taking the time to make a tutorial video! ❤
Thanks for the awesome tips. I haven't seen anything like this before. I am a newbie, and I am very excited. I will try it. 😊😊😊
Glad it was helpful!
Very exciting papers! You aren't afraid to experiment and I love how they turned out!
Thank you! I do love an experiment!
Hi Lisa, great video though I admit I cringed when I saw you throwing a plastic stencil into freshly boiled water----I was sure it would ruin the stencil but it appears that it didn't so bravo! Thanks for doing this. Hazel
Ha! Yes it was fine. By the time the stencil went in the water had cooled considerably - my fingers went in too after all!
Thank you so much, lisa. I've seen all these different item's used by themselves, but never all 3 of them at the same time. Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Love them! What weight paper did you use?
Most of the paper was standard copier paper. Some sheets a little heavier weight but I'm not sure exactly as it was just from a pile of paper I had and I'd lost the packet.
These are awesome, I can’t wait to try that.
How do you dry them?
I would like to know, also. I put a string across my kitchen and towels on the floor and use clothes pins to hang to dry. It takes a while and makes a mess. I would like to find an easier way.
Quickest way is to stack them on a baking tray in a low temp oven. Keep checking them and turning them every few minutes and remove the driest ones from the top and bottom of the pile every now and then
I hang them on a clothes dryer with an old towel underneath to catch the drips. On a warm sunny day I might put them on a table outside weighted down with stones. Once dry I put them under a heavy pile of books to flatten them. Works a treat!
FANTASTIC ! Best tutorial I’ve ever seen on tea, rust, stencils etc. Thank you so much 🎉
Definitely! The best one I've seen with such creativity. ✅
Thank you so much for sharing your process. I have a pan that has some rusty patches where the coating has come off - so I automatically get some cool rusty effects on my papers I dye in it!
Those rusty bottoms are great aren't they!
New subscriber here. It’s not destroying, it’s up cycling. You go for it Lisa. 😊
Welcome aboard! And thank you - yes, definitely upcycling!
Thank you, very interesting! Can I ask how you dried the paper, did you hang them up?
I would really like to know the same question. Very great tutorial. I love the rust ones.
Yes I hung them to dry on a clothes dryer! After they were dry I flattened them under a pile of books.
🫤It kind of freaks me out a little. Looks like MOLD to me.🤢 My style is not so grungy, so that is probably why I don’t care for it.
Wow! These papers are beautiful! Thank you so much for the lovely tips! SUBSCRIBER NOW!

This turned out Great! Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂
