Would any of those large fuses breaking leave the truck completely powerless? I have a new sierra in the driveway and nothing works. No lights, locks, even the key fob. Yesterday I made an appointment at the dealership because all the sudden my screen wasn't working. It would only work for the back up cam and it was only one of the 2 cameras working. Then this morning I go out to the truck and I couldn't even unlock the doors without using the old style turn key. My plan now is to have it put on a flatbed (I can't even get it into neutral) and brought to the dealership Monday. It's driving me crazy wondering what's wrong. I tried to jump it also..... nothing 😭.

you had the truck way to foward. move your lift to the front of the truck more and you will balance way better

Dang I gotta paint my pod well done.

I place wooden cribbing beneath mine so even a hydraulic failure wouldn't matter. Cribbing is absurdly handy so every few years I buy a 6x6 and some 4x4s then cut to ~18" for general use. Wood doesn't crush or slip.

Is it even worth disconnecting the battery? Is this just one of those Cover Your Ass instructions for purposes of liability that the install calls for? Whats the probability/likelihood of actually detonating an airbag?

Agree the primary install was missed, but the Banks install walk through that has a QR code on the manual in the box is very detailed. I just used it to install on my 2500HD as well. I really appreciate the "lessons learned" about contacting that fuse on the battery, it would have been easy to do if I wasn't more diligent.

it seems that bendpak is the only brand that only has 3 lock stops. the rest have 6 or 7. sadly I won't know what I need unless I try it and noone has a showroom or a 1 month trial 😀

You completely skipped the install. What did you have to drill with the step bit, how did the wire get run down??

You never said why you were doing this. My new truck batteries died and I have a 15 amp micro fuse on top of my assembly.

Hi friend, question for you. Have you found any vehicles that were not able to work with the mounting arms. Reason I ask is because I have a big range of vehicles by size (tiny bmw z4, c6 corvette, several hummers, and a humvee). My concern is that I will find a limitation with where the arms on this can reach the jacking points on the vehicles. It does seem more versatile than the ram style ones where you add a block under the jack points but Ive love to hear if you came across any vehicles personally that didn't work. Cheers!

The instructions for installation state a thermal disconnect switch for the motor must be installed by the owner. Other than the 25 amp breaker, did you install a thermal disconnect and if so, where is it? Secondly, you said that you've lifted many different types of vehicles. Have you lifted an older VW beetle (like a 68) and if so, where did you place the front lift arms/pads so that you did not crush or damage the pans and frame? Thanks.

Save yourself the hassle on oil changes, take her car to a reputable oil shop. You might spend $15 more, but you won’t have to get under the car or dispose of oil. It’s really not worth doing oil changes yourself IMO.

How did you get the idler pulley off

So glad I found your channel as this is the point where I am ‘at home’. I too have a ‘mid-rise’ lift for a smaller (lower ceiling)garage that I haven’t put in to service just yet. Here in Canada we have some awefully cold winters and since I don’t make money in the shop as yet, it wouldn’t be feasible to have it heated all winter as I would like to. I to am awaiting the new big(full size triple bay) garage a little bit further back in the yard. I blessed with a ‘very large’ 😉 country lot already…just gotta put the scratch together to get that done. Debating steel building or perhaps a pole barn? Either way I’ll need at least a 6”-8” concrete floor as I’ll put in one 10,000lb lift and want to be able to get a heavier one if necessary. 12,000lb to 14,000lb for service/welding truck or one of my monster trucks…they tend to get a bit heavy. Keep the videos coming…I would also like to see what there is out there for the latest diagnostic tools. Thanks.

Great detail. The only suggestion for future projects is to not have music playing in the background while working on the vehicle.

Update 8 days later. At this point the truck has had 7 ignition cycles without a Service Suspension System message. Calling that a fix...

wondering the distance the wheels roll from the lowest position to the full hight position? i see you have plates under the wheels how long are the plates ?

I've got the quickjack right now and don't like the degrees of freedom, how they can be out if plane, not parallel, etc. I've been eyeing this lift because it addresses that, seems like a solid choice light duty home use, tire changes, detailing, hitch install. Thanks for the review

Ed just a kind of a helpful hint for you, mobile one is NOT a full synthetic, it is a group 3 synthetic blended oil legally allowed to be called a full synthetic. Only group 4/5 is considered a full 100% man made full synthetic that comes out of a laboratory. I.e. . Red line or amsoil / royal purple! Hope this helps. 🇨🇦

I was a little bit worried about buying online but I bought the autel MP808 which is the same scanner as yours. And contrary to what people said if you buy from Amazon you still get the year warranty, that's directly from autel. And I got 2 years free updates so I was happy.

Just curious why you didn't just buy four smaller diameter tires for about $600? I have the same trailer but single axle, problem solved and alot less work.

Regarding key programming, I believe Autel has adjusted their marketing and only claims that the MK/MS series of tools only covers Asian low security systems. For European/US systems, you'll need to use the IM series of tools. Same with TPMS. You have to use the TS series. I have a TS-501, and that even works on the notorious finicky Range Rover L322 2006-2011.

After an additional 600 miles of towing the boat, the Denali 6.2L (does not have oil cooler) is topping out at 240 degrees for engine oil temperature.

I've got the same lift, not gonna lie I've had multiple 3/4 ton diesels on it. Set it down on the locks and don't ever get underneath it. It's been a beast of a lift. Had mine probably 10 years also. I've retired it since I got my 2 post but keep it around cause it is handy for certain things.
