Went out to play with the Model Squadron last week - and I got chance to try and fly wingman to Steve Holland and his 1/4 scale Spitfire. We just did figure 8s - and it was pretty hard to stay with him - his model was crawling along while mine was on steroids keeping up. Much fun was had.

If you want to get your scale FPV cockpit a little better focussed there are options. However the compromise for better focus on the cockpit is softer focus outside. The instructions with the ARMS are very clear and easy to follow, with 2 approaches - one way is fitting it inside the cockpit aft of the panel, the other is fitting it into the foam forward of the panel. I just got into FPV with head tracking on a F-22 and want something WW2-era next, this cockpit setup is incredible! I've been considering a P-38 as my next plane. Did the cockpit come that detailed from FMS?
No it didnt Luke, I have added a fair few custom details. Having said that the bulk of this cockpit did indeed come with it. The sight, panel and side walls were all included. Best detailed cockpit I ever saw out of the box. It was all painted green with dodgy fantasy dials, but with a bit of paint and proper dials stuck on, it wouldn't be too far off what you see here.

Nose art not allowed on RAF planes during the war.
You may be right Bernie, but what was allowed, and what actually happened, are two completely different things. I could show you literally dozens of photos of RAF fighters with nose art, including the Hurricane flown by Douglas Bader as early as the Battle of Britain (Hitler getting his arse kicked), scantily clad women, dragons, fighting bulls, Donald Duck, shamrocks and dozens of desert airforce fighters with shark mouths painted on the nose. And in the case of RAF bomber command - well take your pick they were littered with nose art.

It's discontinued I'm afraid - it is the FMS 1.4m span. You may find a used one - all 3 of ours were bought used.
I have everything to get this dream to come true, but now fpv bureacracy in Europe is mindblowing.
From how many planes getting up it gets nearly impossible, to keep your own one in sight ?

There’s a bag style gimbal stl for free so you can miss that $90 tax if u have access to 3d printer. You can probably just find a 3d printer for cheaper then that thing and make a ton more stuff 😂

If my observer can still see the plane, I still have control and video Tim. The video pixelates a bit at different ranges depending mainly on the position of the battery in respect to the line of sight between my head and the video antenna on the plane. If that chunk of Lithium is in the way it degrades the video.
