I’ll be a sum bitch just did to my ‘06 g35 coupe works again I pulled the shifter plate off to get to my head unit and put it all back together and manual mode wasn’t registering on the cluster, nor was it actually working, It does now. Is this procedure anywhere in the manual? IGN. ON Open door IGN off Close door……repeat 3 times

I'm get a tune! But my tuner said its best to use triptonic to get the best numebrs , i just need it to work for 1 day at.. im hoping doing the reset an cleaning it helps

This worked for me for a while. Then randomly stopped working. I tried 2 different clusters and the trans oil seems to be fine. The trans was recently replaced and the light still flashes. It doesnt go past 1st gear nor does the manual mode work

Works for about a day for me but i dont mind reseting every time

Good afternoon would this cause a no start no crank and the key light to stay on? Cause my 07 g35x sedan was starting and now will not crank and has p0462 and 463 I can’t see for the life of me why it at least will not crank

Going to try this. Sometimes mine doesnt even register that it’s in its manual mode, sometimes it does and decides to downshift itself. Other times it works as intended. Will keep this comment updated as to what the reset did

this works but it just goes into the next gear on its own without me even shifting

I did it and it worked. After driving for 10 min it went back to staying in “D”.. ugh

Replacing the cluster/speedo has fix all problems. My problems was stuck in D’, downshift on it own or doesn’t shift at all … I bought a use cluster to replace current(install it myself ,really easy ) and got a odometer correction!

So something bad just happen to my 07g35xsedan .I was racing someone on highway and all of a sudden the dashboard stop showing that I was on drive.or sport mode or park etc.. wont show nothing to show what gear I'm in.smoke started coming out my exhaust and when I shut it off the 🔑 light is on and it wouldn't start.eventuay started but driving funky.when I accelerate it takes a bit to catch and I looked under the car and it looks like all the oil exploded underneath.did I just blow a head gasket? Check engine light is on.it made it home.but definitely leaked a bunch of oil...

It worked I just performed this reset trick.

My issue is I can't shift. It'll take it from 5th to 4th when I switch it to manual, but nothing past that.

I honestly thought I was being trolled but I think worked for me! Lol doing the steps in that order definitely does something to the computer/car because it didn’t power on normally for a couple of tries. Only tried it a couple of times in the garage but I’m going to drive it tomorrow to see if it keeps up. Thanks again!!

How do you depressurized the fuel system before pulling the fuel hose off?

Thanks! Worked great. My car was downshifting itself to 1st at speed. If anyone else is looking at this and wondering if it'll work on a similar car, yes it works on the JDM versions, my car is an 04 Stagea.
