The Duality of 2000 ELO Chess // 2 Brilliant Moves
I'M BACK
Thank you all so much for your support and patience. My editing software kept exporting with a handful of audio bugs that I couldn't fix for ages, but I now seemingly have a temporary solution.
In this video, I highlight the beauty and drama of 2000 ELO chess and how blunders and brilliancies come hand in hand. 2000 ELO is far from the mountaintop of the gods; anybody can achieve this rating with hard work.

How many Bots can I beat in 15 minutes?
Bro had this "position" last week 💀
lol
Happens all the time 🥱🥱
Ag6!! Pawn takes Vh5#
Bro u lag
Wtf it didn’t do this when I first uploaded it, thanks for pointing out
Queen takes
Why is queen taking the knight not correct? It still leads to checkmate no?
I think because King can go g8 and defend the rook on f8.
Rg8 is a fine response among others
This was hard. I didn't get it just like you. Im 1600
Unnecessarily hard, I miss when daily puzzles were mate in 1s 🗣️
rip
Chess is pain 💔
absolutely wild game
Thank you bro, it’s exactly the type of game I normally try to avoid 😂
Always look for the most forcing move
I forgor 💀
Is it weird that I saw Rxd4, Qxd4, Qf3+ which leads to a repetition.. instead of the free rook with added bonus of mate in 1? :)
Honestly 😭😭 you can kinda see me do the same in the video very briefly, I forgot I was attacking the rook for a second and my first basic instinct was Rxd4, sometimes a cool draw is more enticing than mate I guess lol
@@Chess4Noobs-rl9cz Yeah I thought that's what you were responding to as well at first! There must have been something about the position that leant itself to forgetting the rook is attacked as your opponent obviously did the same thing. Very entertaining game anyway :)
@@-dizzoj- Thank you my friend, I'm glad you enjoyed
Rxd4 he can still go Qg2 and be up two pawns in an endgame
@@masta0952 Kind of, Qg2 Qxa3 and both pawns on b4 and f4 are hanging, so white would be up one pawn but most likely a draw
If a daily puzzle looks easy, you’re missing something
Unless it’s on a Monday, those ones really are easy
What's the puzzle rating
Because of rook a8 right?
Rook g8
Good spot, both Ra8 and Rg8 work just fine
@@Chess4Noobs-rl9cz Ra8 removes an attacker from the white king. I believe it to be an inaccuracy
I was the same with that one yesterday.. slapped myself in the face
It ain’t easy sometimes 😭🙏
yup
Yeah that better be over 3000 cause NO THANKS
I didn’t check but same
Brother haha
😭
Lmao😅
This AI will take my job one day.
That's todays puzzle. I did it not even an hour ago. It's Bb6, Rxd1, and Rd8# (if memory serves me correct)
Excellent memory! I was not so successful today lmao
@@Chess4Noobs-rl9cz Thanks. Fair lmao. I don't get most of them first go tbf.
He sacrifes THE ROOK
Cooked gothamchess style 💔
This puzzle is for 100 elos good luck kid
Would be cool to just be a CM.
Thats a choker but brill moves are a rarity
Such is chess unfortunately lol
i hate leaving home so i want the fide arena titles
Arena Grandmaster > natural sunlight
@@Chess4Noobs-rl9cz yes
The guys who invented those titles has more free time than me
So real
PART 2 OUT NOW ON MY CHANNEL (Feat NM)
Where tf is NM
#justiceformen 😂
Where is NM
Why would you play b4??
where the nm’s at?
bro played bad moves and said eval bar is wrong
😭😭
Stupid system. Thanks for explaining
Or just use high depth stockfish until you get to 7 pieces on the board then you can use tablebase
Yeah that would’ve solved everything, oh well lol
Bro really pulled the b pawn twice and LET 2 PAWNS PUSH FORWARD IS HE OK?!
Lmao
I did it 😅
Good work bro
Well it was winning until you blundered with b4
This was more a point that a low depth engine can be misleading, b4 may well be a blunder but it’s the best move on low depth, that can cause confusion
@@Chess4Noobs-rl9cz it is a blunder, how’s it misleading? It says winning for white and it is correct
Furthermore, the engine doesnt say b4 is the best move. Its not even the 2nd best move. After f2 the best move is ke7.
Yeah I concede that there can be winning variations but it’s more to the point that the final position is over +2 but the table base refutes it, most people understand >+2 as winning but not in this case
Sorry but someone saying dont trust evaluation loses credibility. It just shows a lack of understanding of evaluations.
low depth engine
i tested it and it was a win for white
Eval bar is valid only if you make the sequence of moves the computer will make, but you are not 3500 elo😂
No he's right it's a draw.
Cooked 😔 all the moves I played were best moves on my engine but low depth I suppose
@@Chess4Noobs-rl9cz it's +8.1 on depth 44, and +35 on depth 55, and +96 on depth 56. 1... Ke3 2. Rf1 Ke2 3. Rb1 f2 4. Ke7 f1=Q 5. Rxf1 Kxf1 6. Kxf7 Kg2 7. h4 Kh3 8. h5 Kg4 9. Kg7
Okay very intriguing, thank you for the insight I appreciate it
@@Chess4Noobs-rl9cz i think its because once the pawn is ready to promote the queen can check in so many different ways the repetition is really far away so it doesnt find a draw and since youre a queen up it gives you slight advantage by default
thanks for the fent
hhmmm, seems sketchy somehow, toward the end
It’s hard to explain overall but I’d encourage plugging it into the engine, it’s fascinating
@@Chess4Noobs-rl9cz sometime i review a game which i won am like 1 move from being 1 move to checkmate (not mate in 2) and the engine still giving my opponent 80%. Its weird. I guess cos i’m only like 650 Elo on blitz.
Nice, very cool puzzle. Definitely not immediately intuitive. Even if it is forcing, sacking the rook doesn’t obviously help until you’ve seen the end of the mating line.
Absolutely, it definitely highlights the importance of calculating all the way through to a conclusion, which we’re all guilty of not doing
No BM? Disappointing!
No, you should resign when there is no chance of victory. It’s a sign of respect for your opponent. Don’t resign if you have attacking chances like this. It’s that simple.
Well said, Kevin James with waves!
