I fly drones and have opinions.
The TBS tango 2 is great, but it could be better.
Some critiques about TBS tango 2 and design choices. Also please give us ELRS versions. Love you @TeamBlackSheepFPV but ... pls. :)

If you only run 2 drones not 100 the cost is insignificant😂. Elrs will never happen tracer is 2.4 xfire😊
I wont run tracer either. ELRS is king.
This is such a great video, this was mad helpful. 🙏🏽
Awesome to hear! Thank you
So what are you trying to say?
In summary: Kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch primarily due to its combination of sweet, cinnamon flavor and crunchy texture. The cereal's distinctive flavor profile, with a perfect balance of sugar and spice, appeals directly to children's taste preferences, which often favor sweeter and more intense flavors. The cinnamon coating on each piece provides a comforting warmth and richness that is both familiar and comforting to young palates. Additionally, the texture of the cereal, which remains crunchy even in milk, adds to the sensory experience that kids enjoy. But I too enjoy this cereal and its not just for kids!

How to disable trim on the t20?
a lot of people tried to tell me "get walksnail, they are better, support the smaller buisnesses" ect. Ended up going with a Vista and some goggles Integra and no regrets so far
looks familiar
can you get inside the bando?
yes, but it’s not recommended

Killer edit and flying
I have admittedly not tried the DJI system, I went from analog to Walksnail about 2 months ago and for whatever reason have had the complete opposite experience from you. I’m sorry to hear how bad your experience has been, but maybe it is helpful to know there are some of us who are absolutely loving the WS system as it is right now.
He don’t know what he doing, it’s the operator, not the system 😂😂😂
You got me. I burn up those VTXs by flying wrong. I'll delete this video.
This is exactly why I didn't want to buy this crap even though it was suggested to me in a known FPV influencer discord as a complete noob. There's already enough tinkering in the hobby without having to trick a $600 pair of goggles into working properly out of the box.
The drone gods are watching.
Other example, Im new to FPV and used the walksnail vTx v2 on my first quad. It works excellent. I have very stable image, framerate also very good for my range tests. Sorry to hear you have that problems.
Where do you buy your WS equipment from? I feel like QC is determined by purchase location.
great shots man!
Super Awesome video!
❤️
I'm having huge issues w dji....osd working and vbat showing and then I lise signal like 40 feet away at 700mw with safety turned off....regretting buying dji goggles amd Vista...I lost video and had a drone fall from like 100 feet and kill a motor that's only 5 flights old....completely new build too. Put a new antenna on and testing tomorrow....if it does the same I selling it all and doing hdzero monitor to see how I like hdzero. Goggles x aren't in stock
nice edit how much time it take?
Hour or so
Yep pretty much i cant find anything when its clean
Have you tried the tango 2?
I love the tango 2. But with no ELRS built in... without heavily modifying it... its a non-starter for me. Love the form factor though. You CAN put the external (and even internal) module on the Tango2, but thats even more modding than ag01s on a jumper. And the tango 2 still has smaller gimbals than ag01
Tks for share 👍
👍
HDZ FTW 😛
wheres the cat? 🐈⬛
Wat?
They say 4 omni's or 4 patches work the best. You need them to work together, always. To get consistently mbits.
Yep, thats what I have setup on mine.
With analog you can look at the video feed and tell whether you have interference or a weak signal. Digital makes it all look the same. DJI has smearing too but not exactly the same and not as bad. The smearing can show up not just a bad signal but also if the scene is complicated and moving fast, especially if using a lower bit rate setting. The higher bit rate and higher resolution settings do not work as well for me on Walksnail as they do on DJI. The fact that it makes all the possible issues look the same though is one of the reasons it looks better than analog, just makes diagnosing an issue a bit more difficult.
Oh yeah, absolutely. I always find that the breakup is worse than the smearing as far as flyability goes for me. But for how expensive WS can be, it shouldn't even be a discussion because it shouldnt have that problem for any user.
I had to replace a ufl on the walksnail Avatar VRX,it was bent and pinched. Other people may be having this issue and not realizing it. If you pull apart the VRX it's the top right ufl, they have it routed kinda bad around the CPU in the VRX, literally bent 90 degrees.
Try circular on the top right side instead of patch and make sure it's on the newest firmware on both goggles and vtxs
And check that it's a released firmware and not pre release
Ive tried all combos. Sadly, I have the same experience.
Ive used every firmware since 31*. I bought into WS over a year and a couple months ago at this point.
I bought Walksnail beside my DJI because of the light vtx
Analog for the win! 😛
Pretty much. I’m about ready to switch back to it lol.
Ya I fly all the systems and I keep going back to analog hdz is basically analog walksnail haveing problems and dji just be to expensive to break so I no I can trash a analog vtx and replace it without breaking the bank and it's basically flawless if setup correctly
Hdz for da win
Y'all fan boys make me laugh paying 600 for goggles y'all have to pay another 90 to 100 to get 90fps when dji and walksnail are getting in the 100s basically you pay for a little better analog
@@rainsquadfpv latency ≠ fps
If it doesn't happen to everyone i assume some of yall just retarded and should buy a pre built.
I've been flying WS caddx for 2 years now. It's clearly not always a simple system to set up. What helped me was staying away from initial releases of hardware/firmware and let other folks unfortunately work out the kinks. It does still have smeary video in some lighting conditions and they can be somewhat mitigated by changing camera settings.
The smeary video, especially over grass is always there in all of the hardware. Better non/stock antennaes will help, and from my experience, the Pro camera will give you a better image than the micro camera, or the original v1 camera. In all three cases if you do frame grabs you'll find the smearyness and it all would appear to predominately caused by their algorithm that's used to encode the video. I think if you tested the video off the vtx vs the video off the goggles you'd find a difference. Hard to say if they will ever get that fixed, I haven't seen any firmware updates where video has been improved in quite some time.
I decided to steer clear of this for my first digital setup. Some people in an FPV troubleshooting discord tried to steer me hard towards walksnail. I'm not dropping $1200-$1500 on my first quality kit and then troubleshoot right out of the box. This mess has me running straight to DJI for my first setup.
I put on 03 air unit on one of my quads the other day, much better than the 2 analog systems I had been flying. Better image, color, penetration, and distance. Although it is not without its own problems. After flying a few packs around my yard, I had a random video failsafe, the video feed froze on one frame, leaving me to land a 7 inch quad blind. Luckily I was flying extremely low, and just set it down with no damage. Also if your bit rate gets to low, the latency can be bad AF, like 3 seconds on 1 frame….when your flying 50+ mph that’s an issue, 3 seconds blind… in most cases my 03 will go where my analogs won’t, but the latency can get as bad or worse than the static on analog. All in all I think 03 is way better than analog, but it definitely is not perfect.
I don't know why some people keep denying the smearing issue, which has been there from the beginning. Perhaps they've never flown DJI. If you've flown DJI, it's very obvious.
It’s borderline fanboyism, it’s wild
There is always a little smearing 'in the grass' thats the way its rendered. But I have 1 quad, the V3 race vtx that has so terrible range and uglyness it seems forever in standby (but it isnt). So bad luck is also a thing. My other like 6 VTXes are fine. I like the V2 Pro combi the best actually
Still rocking the Fatshark Walksnail V1. No problems. Almost bought the GogglesX, glad I didn't. Lollipop 4+ on quads. Truerc stubbies on goggles. 720p. Can fly in an office park with confidence, penetration behind buildings is fine for what I do. I somehow think the GogglesX just perform worse, seeing a lot of complaints about them. Still need to send back 3(!) V1 vtx's that randomly died... One died from sitting in a quad not being flown for a few months, so that sucks...I worked fine before I got retired for the winter.
It seems that most users of the V1 have a more consistent (good) experience than the X and the VRX.
@@DanoFPV yes, I guess build quality was way better at Fatshark. The GogglesX just seem to be stuffed full (literally) of squashed electronics. Can't even fathom why all the wifi coax wires that rub away their coating etc...
Thanks for the video, I also wanted it to work well, I wanted to buy the glasses and vtxs, but in the end I bought DJI O3 and G2 because of these errors, I want a system that gives me confidence. Greetings!
I hate to say it but I get analog dvr almost as good. Analog has come along leaps and bounds the last 5 yes. This kind of shit is what keeps me from going digital and I WONT go DJI soooo... maybe HD Zero??
Nice video, sorry to hear all your problems with Walksnail. For me a lot of the problems start with the Redbird antennas, there kinda like the garbage fake antennas you get with your Skyzones. Ya they work but not good so you upgrade. For me I upgraded to True RC X-Air 5.8 MKII LHCP on my goggles X. Happy Flying.
How's the range wich vtx do you use?
Yep, your experience seems to mirror mine. Mushy video, weak hardware.
Sorry to hear that! We all want it to just work properly
4 the algo thanks
Just found this AFTER I purchased the frame and by chance the exact same stack, although I fly Walksnail and T-Motor F60. Did you hard-mount the ESC directly on the thread inserts or did you suspend it a little ? I see you cut the Axis stack screws to size just as I did. I actually find it very hard to mount the stack in a way that I still have enough space for the LiPo strap because I use T-Motor lipo straps with silicone lining. I just finished a TPU plug for the top deck that double-acts as a stress relief and will actually protect the 12AWG wiring from getting destroyed by the lipo in a frontal impact. I will now design a combined GPS and LIDAR mount for the rear end as I will fly this on INAV. The mount they provide for the MATEK M10 is a joke, it even protudes behind the motors and gives zero protection for the ceramic antenna body. And I will also fly it in a hybrid config, squished in front and trueX in the back as I do not fly with a GoPro. The stock VTx mount is okay for me, but I don't fly bandos, so my opinion does not count. Torx is very okay for me, as I live in Germany, but the actual screws and the tool they provide seem to be below average standard even though they claim quality name brand hardened stuff. Maybe they got ripped off in purchasing. Overall I like the frame, but I feel they stopped the design at about 90% finished. I sweared a lot building it. Let's see how it behaves in the air
I had a sneaky feeling this was going to be a follow up to Orlocks video. I am with you man. It is very inconsistent. Especially for the users who got the Goggles X. Want it to work so bad.
I feel strongly that people should keep anchored in reality that it’s an inconsistent experience. It’s not perfect, and for some it’s not even usable. I’ll be nothing but honest even at the sake of not getting sponsors.
Im about to sell my goggles x. To many problems. I just want to fly without any tinkering.
@@rockfordian23 Fair enough, sorry you had so many problems :(
I'm flying last year's hardware, V1 and V2 VTxs, the Dominator goggles, VRX on Sky04O Pros, and V32 firmware. Luckily things just work for me. Have about 6 quads with the older stuff on it. It appears that 'this year's' stuff is just not ready for prime time yet ... Major Bummer !
Yeah, from what I have seen people talk about, the Goggles v1 are more reliable for the system.
They really still need to work on their firmware. Thanks for another objective honest video
Thank you! I was about to jump into the FPV game and was up in the air about WalkSnail. After watching this, I decided to order the DJI Avata 2 as my “starter”. I’m a “camera drone” hobbyist and now fly mostly the Mavic-3 and Mini-3-Pro. While I’m an EE and RF hobbyist, I just don’t have the time or motivation to build my own. I can’t stand DJI’s constant nickel and diming practice of making nothing interchangeable, even in their own brand. Thanks!
Glad it helped you. IF things change I will definitely make a part 2 on this, but for now all they have been doing is releasing BNF a cinewhoop, and analog cameras.... lol
Oohhhh nooooooo
