In spite of all of the negative comments here about this product, I just purchased it. It's $25 and Amazon has a great return policy. Also it has over 10k reviews and 4.5 Stars rating, so I'll give it a try. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for the much needed tip about sizing up when extracting. What I also did was to slightly turn it sideways (instead of keeping it straight up) when extracting to try and catch the grove and that’s what magically pulled up the stubborn stripped nail. Again, thank you!

I use the Ryobi elctric tool. Got a refurbished one for a little over $80 pre tax from Ryobi deals finders. They sell new ones for $99 but are always out of stock. And just to clarify, the clamp has to be between 1/8th and 1/4 inch from the fitting.

I tried it just like you said and it doesn't work. I've tried it with two screws today and could get neither one out. The bit doesn't seem hard enough to even drill a hole. They are just regular drywall screws, they shouldn't be that hard.

OMG that lil azz remote needs a tiny flat head screw-driver to take it apart. All I had were too big to work with so I just used the handle of a screwdriver and hit the remote in that area several times and it's working now. It's a dam shame how crappy they make things now days. Roku needs to make a remote that's not Barbie & Ken doll size. If you set it down and go get a snack or blink u eyes the dam thing gets lost 😀

This is very helpful. My mother has been having intermittent issues with the cable TV signal to only 1 of 3 TVs in her house that have a DTA box. The problem DTA will just randomly lose signal, but through general troubleshooting I've always been able to get it to work again...except for the most recent signal loss "episode". I've eliminated the TV (and both of it's HDMI ports), the HDMI cable, the DTA, and the Cable Provider (and service it provides) as possible causes of the problem. I called the CTP/ISP's "Tech Support" (🙄) which claimed they could see remotely that the DTA in question was "receiving signal and functioning properly", but somehow didn't sound confident in their answer as they were saying it like they weren't sure it was true...idk. They just kept trying to push me to schedule a service tech house call ($99) and it wasn't until I asked them for the 3rd time to ping a signal to the device that they supposedly did. I've had a phone support person tell me about this in the past and it fixed the problem with the same DTA when they did it then, but it did not work this time. The only two items left in the chain of signal flow (that I'm aware of) are the coaxial running to the DTA and at the other end I traced it to an unknown type of junction/splitter mounted under the eaves on the exterior of the house. It's been painted over (probably multiple times since it's installation) so even if I could get the paint off I suspect there wouldn't be a legible label left to read. I figured the next thing to do would be to test the coaxial for continuity, and if there is then I'm not sure there's much more I can do on my own. I don't think it would be the mystery splitter device since the other two TVs receive signal perfectly fine...unless just the 1 out connection for the line that isn't working has failed independently, but the main in and other 2 out are still working?

I just changed mine. One thing that can help is to look at the bulb from the outside. You can see if your turning it the right way. And you can see if it's lining up right going back in. I had to push in to get it out and it took a couple trys. But only five minutes, the video was helpful.

Interesting. First time I've seen this tool. I'm curious to know whether it would work on a old rusty screw. I'm guessing the screw would crumble as you try to extract it. However I like the tool and will keep it in mind for the future. I just drill the head off and use grips to turn the screw at the moment.

Thanks for the part where it looks like you are having trouble attaching the bag. Mine is an older model and there are just two shallow C shaped hooks for the bag to attach to. In my opinion this design allows the bag to easily fall off, and mine did. I tripped over it and was injured. It is just about impossible to get a company to take responsibility or make amends on this type of injury. Be careful.

Thank you!!! I've been trying on and off for 3 days to remove a stripped out hex set screw on the bottom of a Moen faucet handle. I had a speed set, but the instructions were gone and I was using the wrong end! I have no idea if I'm going to be able to find another set screw with this thread pattern, so I'm just going to use the speed bit to put the thing back in after I change out the cartridge.
