Actually when Dayanand Bandodkar passed away people of Goa wanted my grandfather means K.H. Katekar to become the Chief Minister of Goa. But Bandodkar's daughter called my grandfather and said that she wanted to become the Chief Minister of Goa. So my grandfather denied the offer.

During this time my grandfather was the Director of Tourism of Goa Diu and Daman from 1968 -1972. His name was K.H. Katekar.

How can you call this as the first war of independence? How can killing some unarmed people an that too who had no connection to the government an majority of them who were daily wage labourers an most of them hindus who were chopped into pieces be called a war of independence? If this type if terrorism is given the name of independence struggle then even the kashmiri pandits who are killed by terrorists should be called as war of independence.
