Did you have to modify the exhaust at all to clear the hammer hanger?
No I just adjusted the rubber hangers for the exhaust to clear the hammer hangers. I’ve got like 1 1/4in clearance
Buying my 97 (from the original owner) was the best decision I’ve ever made. I no longer have a drug addiction, so my money has to go somewhere!! 😂

It’s called Ravelco. It’s an anti theft device that cannot be bypassed in anyway. I highly recommend that upgrade!

Thank you! It’s just so expensive haha. I actually have been looking at the new pro charger kits for the Tacoma since they can be bolted straight on without taking apart the engine at all.
@Mavadv I also hear that the procharger is better for daily driveability and better mpgs than the magonson super. Harrop makes one too, go to d3 performance if interested.

You think it's possible to mount two of these side-by-side for 400W total?
It would be a tight fit but I’m sure it could be done. I stuck with 200w for now since the EcoFlow can only take in 220w of solar.

I'm guessing you didn't hear, but BxBuilt went out of business quite a while before you produced this video. The owner of BxBuilt walked away with a whole bunch of people's hard-earned money. Pretty much a dick move. However, there is a solid company that makes quality projector LED retrofit headlights. That company is TEQ Customs out of Raleigh, NC. Good luck with your channel.
They're being built in Mexico and the employees are making 7 bucks per ((DAY)) not hour, lol. I'm surprised it lasted so long, I can't believe you got 10k miles outta that Mexican POS, lol. Next time buy a 4Runner, they're still being made in Japan.
I dont think the motor is made in mexico. I recall in Huntsville AL.
Not true I had a 2022 Tacoma TRD off road and it never had any issues I off roaded it all the time had about 30k miles before I traded it in. Crazy thing is I didn’t have one single rattle in it.

Tacomas are known for an oil starvation issue under offroad angles. There are some aftermarket solutions for this. Great that toyota recognised their fault.
It's Wild that a truck designed to go off road has this issue
What solutions have you seen for this? I’ve got a friend who gets a low oil pressure warning when off-roading but I haven’t yet experienced that.
New tacomas are crap! Buy Chinese and save $.
What year is your Tacoma and is this a common issue for the 3.5?
It’s a 2022. Toyota engineering said this is a completely new thing they’ve seen. It’s was all due to a bad machined cylinder head that was starving the oil and dropping oil pressure.
@@Mavadv I don't always trust Toyota engineering since I worked as a journeymen tech for the company. I was wondering as an owners perspective (forums) or tech level perspective.

That company Shrockworks actually went out of business just after Covid unfortunately. I really liked how well they tucked up against the 4runner.
How would you prep that trailer for 80-90 degree nights?
Fans and more fans. I’ve seen a few people add exhaust fans in the roof that would run completely off the module. I also think a zero breeze AC unit could easily be set up and used in that situation as well but that’s not as budget friendly.
When did you get the shrockworks rear bumper? It looks like they are out of business now.
I got them in 2017 or 2018. I did see they shut their doors, kind of a bummer since they really made great stuff.

Thank you! I really miss that 4runner it was a beast but I’m now in a 3rd Gen Tacoma. I’d say the biggest downside was the weight of the bumpers, Looking back I definitely would have went with something a lot lighter from Nguyen Works for the rear and do a lighter custom front or aluminum front bumper but Everything else worked fantastic. I would now recommend going with a 3link from Optoffroad/freelgoodperformace to help the rear end cycle better with the 12in shocks but it wasn’t out yet when I did mine. Check out Optoffroad for a lot of great parts for the 4runner and use my discount code Mav for alittle cash back in your pocket.
What are your thoughts on comfort compared to the self-inflating mattress you were using? Is the turbo nap as or more comfortable?
I would say first initial feelings it’s very similar but I wanna get a few more night camping to really see how my body feels. Unfortunately the Tacoma has been having engine issues so I had to cancel Sedona and Moab trips but stay tuned, this year I’ll be doing alot of camping so I’m sure I’ll make an updated video.

Did you need to cut the rear? Any rubbing on the rear ?
I actually don’t have much rubbing in the rear. If I’ve got alot of weight down on one tires at full tuck I’ll rub the sidewall against the fender liner screws but the duro bumps are just the right height to stop from over flexing.
How much lift are you on ?
I’m sitting around 3 inches of lift

I’ve got a K&N drop in filter and I did have the Tacoma tuned at the ECU, it’s made a huge improvement with throttle response and gear hunting. Just cruising around town I usually get 14-15 but on the highway with bigger hills I get about 12 on the 35s
Here's a non truck question. What brand are those boots ur wearing ?
They’re brunt work boots, It’s the marlin model with the comp toe. So far I’ve been really liking the fit. Usually I wear a Keen comp toe boot to work with I also like because of the bigger toe box.
