Mine doesnt shut off when bucket is full, when i take out bucket to empty, it keeps running. also the the power button stays on even when it shut off? Ive had it 5 yrs i think. Just started acting up. Model is DS1-70e-101

This has a dehumidifier. The GE low profile one at 6k btu does not. I guess every AC install happens where no one has vinyl siding??? How does a FOAM mounting block support this 60-70 lb unit upon a window lip seal? Don't you need a firm wood support block on base to take the full weight of AC off of any seal? Why not make all foam pieces the same uniform color?

Can this be used for any brand of window AC? Seem like it.

Those of you that live in apartments that have over 11 inch width and wont allow this model to fit. The other option is listed below. Stay away from the GE knock off of this model it has a water problem. Midea 8,000 BTU Smart Inverter U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner, 35% Energy Savings, Extreme Quiet, Cools up to 350 Sq. Ft., Model - MAW08V1QWT Also, people talk about mold in the Midea it's easy to take off but if you get the appropriate size for your sq footage you shouldn't have an issue. I own both the Soleus and the Midea and they are my favorite units by far. I won't use other brands. They are just worth every penny from build quality to ease of installation. I have had both of mine for 1 year on the nose and the best investment I spent.

I had this in my bedroom for about a year and it did exceptional when keeping my room cool through the southern heat. It works best in a small room because the air had a strong current, but not enough range.

This little unit works like a charm. Cool 450 living room fast! I especially like the timer feature, I set it to start just before I get home from work, like it was never off.

I wouldn't buy anything from this company. Customer service is still hiding behind COVID. Purchased a dehumidifier that stopped after 2 seasons. $275 of junk. They don't stand behind their products. AVOID THEM

This makes it so that my windows can't be locked. With my old window units the AC could be screwed right into the window so that it could not be opened...is there any way to do something similar? I have absolutely no need to open this window when the AC unit is in.

The 6000 BTU unit is 18.7 inches wide. So without the side window slider filler pieces this unit only needs 18.7 - 19 inches in width. The manual says it needs 24 inches, which is correct?
