Great vid mate! How far outta patto do you go roughly?

Oh man! It pained me to watch you winding while the fish was taking line off your spool (that fine clicking sound when a fish is taking line). Never wind when that is happening - for every turn of your bail arm, it puts a twist in your line. Sooner or later (probably sooner) you are going to have an almighty mess of twisted line. Tighten you drag a little and then wind. When the fish is pulling really hard, let it go - just don't wind. Lift your rod tip to bring it closer and wind in as you lower the rod tip. Wind in ONLY when the fish is not taking line off your reel.

Nice fishing session... I just recently did some surf fishing down at Lorne.. Got several all undersized on bait. Purchased a 20g Halco twisty but yet to try it. What's the weight of the twisty you used. Whats your method?... Do you Cast and reel in fast?

Thanks for the cooking tips. I’ve been fishing Gunna for many years, never liked the mushy bland taste, but your tips sound good. I’ll give it another try. Personally I like oily fish like slimy mackerel, so maybe the basting with olive oil is the key. Cheers! Happy times. They were biting last night
