I just finished the series and this is my favorite scene. It was beautiful and so unbelievably tragic. He killed his children little by little until she couldn't stand it. He killed her. This was his greatest regret and it wasn't enough to stop him.

So wait, Did Annabelle Lee. Took her life away or was she murder? Because I was lost by the hole in her head? Plus she gave, Rodrick a great speech to him that he needs to learn, but it’s too late for him and his family specially that ugly sister of his.

This scene still hits hard Annabel Lee’s disgust towards Roderick is 100 percent justifiable.

i know is just a series but this really makes me to worth more the people that i have around specially my wife, you don't know how rich you are.

Even more sad than how Roderick ruined their relationship is what it did to their two children. One became addicted to drugs and a jealous obsessive monster. One became so terrified of what people saw when they looked at her that she couldn’t be emotionally vulnerable enough to let anyone in. They became selfish and cruel and uncaring and heartless. I can’t imagine Annabel Lee’s pain in watching it happen and being unable to stop it

There is always one scene or quote in a Flanagan show that gets me. The death quote in Midnight Mass. The Paris dialogue in Bly. And when the one psychic girl finds a young girl.is being molested in Hill House.

Even in death, she's still annoyingly self righteous. Like come on, you walked away from a life of luxury and endless opportunities purely out of spite

This is the most beautiful and powerful scene in the entire show. This actress deserves an Emmy for this.

For some reason every time she gets to the part about them being siphoned I come back to this imagined scene of Tammy and Frederick as kids leaving for their fathers and coming back more and more robotic every time and it breaks my heart.

This one is really catchy, I always enjoy hearing it after the episode ends. Simple but touching.

"The poverty of you" is such a searing insult. It's like she's saying, "all this wealth, just to become less than nothing."

"Hauntingly beautiful " Just two words I say "Hauntingly beautiful"

My favourite scene in the whole series. The acting (both of them) is absolutely amazing and the music so beautifully emphasizes the tragedy. This scene also perfectly summarises the main message of the whole show without laying it too thickly (as it's done later in the same episode) and the words spoken by a heartbroken mother just have so much more weight and deserves so much more compassion.

This actress, and Robert Longstreet, are actors that Flanagan consistently brings in to just absolutely crush the small parts they’re playing. They are actors you just wish would blow up and be in more stuff!

" maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Maybe they died when they were young". To say something like that is so heartbreaking but it gives some peace to Annabelle Lee. Just amazing!

There were so many amazingly moving scenes in this movie that it was hard to take them all in upon watching them for the first time. I appreciate someone has pulled out some of them so we can take a closer look and reflect on them.

My favorite scene. This show is amazing.

Saddest part is not the scene but people saying how beautiful the acting and the moment is instead of realising this is the reality we live in

The scene was gut wrenching. The pain in her voice. The disgust at what he had done and the look on his face when all his sins were laid bare in front of him by seeing her.

This show is like a modern day Shakespearean tragedy. So many good lines. So many amazing moments. If they don't at least get an Emmy nomination I will be seriously shocked.

Without question Bruce Greenwoods AWARD winning performance of his entire career! And all the metaphors OMG, genius writing and performances all around.

I like the little gasp he gives out when she's turned to him out of frame of the camera which was basically his reaction to seeing the gunshot wound in the back of her head which is why he isn't surprised when she turns around to leave for the second time
