Thank you! BTW, when removing the top piece, "You have to be pretty violent with it". Indeed. In my case I had to be extremely violent, so much so I was sure I'd break it. It looked far easier in the video than it turned out to be in real life for me. If I'd not seen this video I'd have been sure that I was doing it wrong, but finally after first prying it out to get a firmer grasp I was able to pull it off one fastener and then slowly work around the sides doing same until it was finally off. Prying I've since read in a manual is not recommended, and indeed in my case it chipped a small piece off of the panel that I'll have to super glue back on, but the panel was on there so tight I had to at least wedge something in there to get a grip strong enough to pull it off. At any rate this video was exactly what I needed and worked even though the door was closed at the time (due to bad cable). Door was frontward cargo door just behind right side passenger door, on a 2007 E-350 Econoline SD extended.
My 1998 e350 Club Wagon has a second door that opens on the side. I need to replace the cable ends there. Unfortunately, this videos does not show that part of panel removal. Perhaps it is basically the same procedure. Remove the top then lift up. I will try that.
I replace a burnt out fog light bulb this evening on my 2015 Ford Focus. Followed the steps taking care to use a wash cloth to prevent scratching the paint while taking off the black trim piece with the nylon pry tool I bought at Harbor Freight. FYI, the dealer quoted me $400+ to replace the bulb. Said they had to take off the bumper.
Great video! You give all necessary steps and add the little tips and tricks you have learned. I’ve been listening to that hinge lock rattle around in the door WAY too long. Thank you.
Thanks, this has been very helpful; I hope that the rear passenger side door is relatively similar, there are very few videos providing guidance on removal.
Or you could turn the wheel in, unbolt the inner fender well, reach in and unscrew the lamp socket and replace the bulb and do the reverse to put it back in and you don’t risk breaking the trim!
If you wanna do something extra you can get KLM air filter. Take the cover off of old stock filter and leave off. Car sounds meaner. Gets more airflow to engine like it should. Plus 2 hoursepower and 3 to 5 miles extra to gallon since you drive highway. Worth every penny. Average cost 60 bucks
I've been watching a lot of these videos about fog light bezels. Having trouble reinstalling bezel. Any tips, please? It's not just a simple reverse order!
Unfortunately most parts on cars are plastic and can need a lot of force to pop them back in. There is a very fine line between between too much force and just enough. Make sure all the tabs are there and no cracks. Sorry I am not more helpful. Good luck
Thank you for this! I just replaced both of my fog light bulbs in less than half an hour after trying to squeeze my hand down from the top yesterday. I knew there was a better way!
Thanks. This was awesome!
Excellent video. Thanks for the help!
You didn't do anything...9
Your tutorial is concise and to the point. Great job. Made my unknown task known and simple. Thank you. 👏
