Vancouver Canucks vs Edmonton Oilers: Quinn Hughes high sticked by Connor McDavid - No Call?

How is this not 4 minutes… #canucks #nhl #oilers
McBaby again, can’t control his stick. Luckily this time, the Refs actually care enough to call the penalty.
I just noticed that they were playing Enya- Only time. I love that song.
He always used to do it
You need to zoom in more
McCrybaby always has his stick in the air idk why he feels the need to always have his stick up in the air
McDavid needs to stop slashing people in the face. The guy is a goon.
Worst call of the playoffs, clearing favoring Dallas as no PP given to Edm for the rest of the period with several infractions that could have been called.
LOL that was a double minor 100%
If you think that was the worst call of the playoffs you should not be allowed to drive a car or vote.
*clearly
Held his stick? Really? It looked to me like both of his hands were on his own stick. Hmmmm. And so you are saying that warrants drawing blood, right? That McD was justified? wow. Where were all you guys earlier in the playoffs when there was no call on McD for drawing blood with his stick to a players face? That was okay, though, too, right? McDavid has a habit of pushing his luck on the ice because he knows the big boys in the NHL will back him with just about whatever he does. Now he expects to get away with penalties like this regularly and cries when he doesn't get his way. Maybe he can get a job working for "the cause" after he starts getting whacked himself, since he likes what they're doing and believes in it. Or maybe he could get a job working for a company that makes rainbow colored clothing? The league has created a monster, and he's playing the part of a spoiled brat.
shaddup clown
... Duchene was holding McD's stick down, aka "hooking"... Connor was freeing up his stick and Duchene's face got in the way.
Interesting how they review the call and still can't get it right. Yep 4 minutes for high stick drawing blood, but still missed Duchene holding McDavid's stick. USELESS!
Where did he hold his stick tho? Like really asking, I dont see it, I am not a fan of neither of these teams, so I genuinely think this was normal high sticking by McDavid 2+2, but maybe I am missing something
@jasonroy1890 i don't see the hold, and even so, that's not a reviewable play.
What a bunch of butt hurt, crybaby Canuck fans.
Funny, how in the Vancouver series he did it to Hughes and there was no call And after this is his third or fourth time he's finally going to get a penalty guys, gotta learn to keep his stick on the ice and quit hitting people in the face. If you've been called in Vancouver to the series would've been different.
Like the high stick impacted this game
you need to shut your trap too
@@kripzzy6732 most definitely would've the Ref's and the NHL's always been behind the Oilers. They're golden ticket.
@@MrCoda47 And you dont touch Mc Jesus, he can do no wrong
@@tracer0017 especially to all these ones drinking the Kool-Aid. Best in the league, but yet other players beat him in scoring in the regular season and the playoffs so far but he's the best there is what a joke
Cry baby McDavid
your mom
big mcdavid w where are the canucks again?
Should he cry before or after scoring the overtime winner? 🤡
McDavid didn't even know he was there.
McDavid did. Duchene was holding McDavid's Stick.
MCdavid was clearly trying to get free and get the puck which is a penalty if you are a Canadian franchise.
@darylwilliams7883 McDavid clipped him with a high stick and it drew blood. Easy call. Whining about a cheeky hold being missed? Come on! I am a neutral fan, please stop whining likes nucks fans did. It gets you nowhere.
@@rossonphillipsthats right. It is. Know your place you polite, goose-down loving syrup slurpers. That being said…Edmonton in six.
Of course he knew, he has the best hockey sense and hockey IQ of anyone in the world. He knows everything that goes on when he's on the ice, he knows where everybody is at all times, who are you kidding? Of course this was deliberate, he doesn't do anything by chance.
I have yet to see a replay that shows the contact 😊
He held McD’s stick.
Nice name! No he doesn't hold McD's stick, he has both hands on his own stick till after he gets hit in the face. Watch it at .25 speed.
@nathanthemoneyman9191 yeah, poor McDavid. Always targeted by the refs. Like when he clipped Hughes. The guy can't catch a break. Even when someone supposedly gets away with a cheeky hold on him, refs are still bias and penalize poor McD. A travesty.
Two series in a row he’s tried to take someone’s head off
Dallas fans cheering on their best friends. The refs
Still won 😂
Tough Call
How? If you high stick and draw blood, it is a double minor,. Easy call!
@@nathanadrian7797 ... should have been hooking/holding on Duchene as well then... to be fair, that's WHY McDavid was trying to FREE his stick and get the puck.
@@cdncitizen4700 Duchene was not hooking, or holding! McD's stick was above Duchene's stick, and for whatever reason, McD pulls back like he is taking a slap shot, unfortunately, Duchene's face was at the back of his swing. Watch it from :58 to 1:05 on .25 speed, and it is easy to see, no hooking or holding!
@@nathanadrian7797 Duchene's is over top of McDavid's, trying to hold Connor's stick down. But he wasn't having any of it and lifted Matt's stick to clear room so he could handle the puck unobstructed.
@@cdncitizen4700 You are right, his stick was underneath. So what would the call be against Duchene? He isn't holding the stick, and to be hooking he has to be hooking the body, which he isn't. There is no rule against what Duchene did unless you want to call it interference, and then everyone will get called about once a shift. Using your stick to control what the opposing player can do with their stick is a hockey play and not a penalty unless you slash.
Bro held his stick 😂😂😂
Look again! Duchene has both hands on his own stick until 1:02, and then lets go with his left hand at 1:03. The high stick happens at 1:00 in the replay. Watch it at .25 speed and it is easily seen.
McDavid has a habit of carrying his stick high (he hit Soucy and Hughes with high sticks in the Vancouver series) and while I disagree with the drop of blood part of the rule, that's the rule and so it was a good call. Much better than the missed 4 min call when he high sticked Hughes in the Vancouver series. I'm pulling for the Oilers as the last standing Canadian team but a high stick is a high stick.
Unintentional Obviously
He is careless with his stick. Unintentional or not, he high sticked Duchene and drew blood, the same as he did with Hughes.
@JamesonMama The right call was made. It has nothing to do with intention. Duchene missed the entire pp.
There you go my mans, your first like and comment. Have a good one alright😊😊
K now do the crosscheck to McDavid's face. NHL officiating is a joke across the board.
GEORGE PAROS NHL PLAYER SAFETY REP IS RIGHT ON IT, LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
missed calls both ways and you guys are getting more powerplays this series. whiny losers
Penalty minutes are dead even so far. Learn to count.
Edmonton had more power plays in game 3. But they just couldn't get it done.
The refs have hard job. Its going both ways being missed both ways
5 minute major, different outcome for sure
It’s the playoffs, you let the boys play. For every non call like this there’s one that Vancouver gets away with. Not a fan of either team but refs swallowing the whistle ends up benefitting both sides. Stop crying.
And that's exactly how you feel about game 3 right? You're totally cool with the outcome of game 3?
awe so sad
Yes, it's a high stick. Yes, it was missed. How long are people going to keep harping on it? Get over it!
Refs weren’t good, but they were fair. I think there were roughly equal amounts of missed calls on both sides
What about the one earlier in the game against Hyman? No call
Hyman? Wasn’t bleeding and wasn’t high sticked by an impact player like Mcdavid! You don’t have him for 4 minutes Edmonton Oilers don’t tie the game! Nuf said
Game 1, 7 minutes left, 4-3, Suter closes his hand on the puck and throws it out of the defensive zone leading to the 4-4 goal. No call?
nope, sorry.
Why are you comparing an intentional slash to the face to a general zone infraction
Actually there was barely 5 minutes left when they tied the game. Edmonton was winning 4-1 , they didn't eventually lose the game because of this one play. Give it up. The Canucks are the better team. Edmonton can't even beat a third string goalie
Играть не умеет, только клюшкой махать
Probably not called because of the high stick on Hyman that didn't get called, the missed interference call on eckolm that didn't get called, the missed too many men on the ice that didn't get called the period prior.🤷
Ok bud 😂
Penalties aren't some currency to exchange back and forth. Just call the damn play. If you make a mistake on the call, move on. Don't start trying to meddle with the game even further to make it "even". It just snowballs into a disaster. I can't stand this crap.
The nhl is ridiculous too for making easily reviewable plays unreviewable for some backwards ass reason. But hey let's review this offside call for 15 minutes
@@lightlybatteredjustcrispy I agree that's the way it should be but that's a utopian hockey game that doesn't exist. Refs miss things and realize what happened far after a call should have been made and kinda let other things slide as a result. Not saying it's correct just the way things happen sometimes
You're right when Oilers had too many men on the ice just before their third goal and that didn't get called.
Leaf fans aren’t watching. They’re leaf fans … not hockey fans.
High stick on hyman wasn’t called lol
Leafs fans are having PTSD right now :D
2 minutes for face butting Connors stick.
