The only thing worse than making things is /not/ making things.
I built the ultimate tabletop gaming gadget
We all love dice, right? They roll, they uh... roll more. They're great, but they've been the same for thousands of years, let's mix it up a bit and build Mr. Dice, the ultimate digital dice rolling gadget.
In this video I use a Rasperry Pi Pico along with a custom PCB, some off the shelf components, and a bit of 3D printing to bring this thing to life.

I built the world's first real, working Pokédex
zhlédnutí 564KPřed 4 měsíci
We've waited long enough - it's finally possible to make a real working Pokedex, so let's do it. Using computer vision, AI voice cloning, and a little 3D printing magic we can make the iconic device come to life and fulfill your Pokemon desires. I built a machine to print every (nice) Youtube comment
zhlédnutí 20KPřed 4 měsíci
Have you ever wanted /more/ internet comments in your life? Well I did, so I built this real life CZcams comment printer using a Raspberry PI powered "Cyberdeck" or "DevTerm". This machine, along with a bit of ChatGPT magic makes something really special which ensures all the awesome comments get solidified in real life! If you're interested in picking up your own DevTerm, check out the Clockwo...
How to control your phone like it’s 1984

Modern television remotes have been in use since the 1980s, so why aren't they used on more devices? Let's find out. Yeah but a fireball is 8d6
Stupid the fuecoco my boy your here
big thing, but this device would be awesome if it was like the pokewalker. but obviously a single person is probably not going to do that, but it could be so cool if you could "catch" the pokemon you find irl and then fight or trade with them by rescanning them (or something like that)
where to buy
Nice build.
That is not a credit card sized computer, that is a Lego sized billboard. And I will be (ab)using it as such
I need a tutorial how to make cartridges like this
I’ve got a lot more cartridge stuff coming up, been iterating on the drive design for a year now so check back in a bit!
Where d10, what am i gonna roll my Eldritch Blast with??
I just upgraded some firmware in mine and it's getting better. You might need some modules for the Grove port and the Espressif source code examples. It can run many .bin (compiled) files (whole systems or a simple loop) from the SD Card. The main flash is then the M5Launcher for this to work. An M5Stamp (shown on the top, right) can do the same, so those can report something back (as an example). I'm just scratching the surface for now. I like the RPI Pico a lot for some of it and will combine all, later for my projects in mind, but it got a bit big to think with recently.
your conent is really cool, you arevthe smartest youtuber I have ever seen
This is extremely cool, keep up the good work! 🙂
"future of dice" rolls a max of 5x dice and requires multiple actions to roll a set of dice. Great project but it is beyond subpar even to an app that caroll up to 100x dice, or the physical feel of the dice where you can roll any combo faster than yours.
I use Eagle 🦅
"To build something better than dice we have to talk about the history of dice." Absolutely fucking not. No one cares.
I love your videos!
Butters would've loved this, because he almost died trying to filter out the good comments.
Does it work though?...
I'm on my way to Tandy ❤ this money is burning a hole in my pocket Aarrh!!!
Where can you buy it
Congratulations my friend! You 've made a great and inspiring work! Well done!
This is amazing. Thank you. Pico 8 is so cool
Cute concept. :)
Alternative criminal ethernet.
Controller ports
You teach me so many things, love your videos!
Love your videos, you teach me so many things!
Have a beautiful life beautiful human.
.
I love the concept buf in reality i much prefer having a treasure chest full of hundreds of dice
For me, the ultimate tabletop gaming gadget would be a map fog simulator.
Congratulations
Personally i would design it with a slightly larger display. Then make it so there is a single external switch/button for power, and swipe to choose dice, shake to roll. It could all fit within the footprint of the screen and look something like a diy ipod nano. Obv thicker and larger than a nano but i would imagine it still wouldnt be too bulky.
Please print me out❤😂🎉😅🥷😜😉
I have the same Fuecoco plush
Now explain to me why this couldn't have just been an app.
This is so cool I hope those batteries haven’t run out yet!
What program did you use to design the ui?
Ok you had me when you said it's $30 I was literally thinking "this would be cool to mess around with, too bad it's probably like $100-$150
this is the best youtuber ever man (im not saying this cuz of the topic, i just like your vids :))
So theoretically, this could be a universal remote for my tv?
Please tell me this is posted somewhere!!!
So now tell me where you can buy it
I need to buy a few of these. They would be perfect for a campaign I am DMing.
I think it didn't get fuecoco since chat got does not know anything about gen 9
@BringusStudios you should try modding steam os on this next😂
9:35 for actual pokedex
Erm actually, what about the Pokédex around 44 years ago in Pokémon fire red and leaf green?
It's exactly what I thought
It would be col if you made a rotom case for it
Now you need to make it ise a geigercounter so its truly random
