The parallels between the teachers at Hogwarts and the teachers at Lynn Garth -or however you spell it -really shed a light on how dangerous and irresponsible the professors in the HP universe are. Both love to send children into deadly situations unnecessarily and a knack for psychological abuse.

A really cute bit with the photo book could have been like. Okay Rosemary: *looking at book* oh you had long hair? Carroway: I did :) Rosemary: *flips page* oh you wore dresses? Then you could lead into Carroway talking about transition magic because it’s kinda cool

The Superboy and Starfire plot would’ve been better as the main plots of their own seasons and it makes no sense why they shoved them into one season

Helluva boss has an amazing introduction to a trans character. It doesnt explicitly say anything but does imply and nobody makes a big deal out of it!

Also, albeit that the writing contributes to this, i find that a lot of the delivery on the part of the voice actors is really stilted and unnatural which makes the dialogue sound soooo much more awkward

I liked the part where the collection of off brand Hollister models sat around their opulent apartment (in some city they're pretending isn't just Vancouver for reasons I didn't care enough about to analyze) whined about their emotions/daddy issues a whole bunch and then murdered numerous people with zero compunction or meaningful consequences. Then nothing important happened for a long time. Someone said fuck. One of them was secretly gay or Amish or something. I wasn't listening. More boring garbage. More bad writing. Worse characterization. The hot chick who never does anything dies. More of them probably turn gay. One of them is browner than usual (specifically to be a human shield against criticism related to how shitty this show is) and also a psychopath. All together a tale told by an idiot, full of conventionally attractive adult shaped toddlers, signifying nothing.

You wonder why I like the cartoon Slade none of this family drama or looking like a punk just a terrifying man.

Turner Hayes was used because there is a DC embargo where characters can't appear within the same medium. Titans were ongoing and all three robins were in the show, so another Tim Drake, Jason Todd and Dick Grayson weren't possible.

Once knew a guy who praised this show about five years ago. Said guy was a self-aggrandising idiot who thought he knew MUCH more than he actually did, powergamed and shoved his DMPCs into every game he ran, so since he had his head up his arse, eager to watch this review from someone who _doesn't._

They didn't end the main plot of season 1 in season 1 due to various behind the scenes issues. The show was created for a new DC streaming service and the whole production was a mess since WB had no idea what they were doing. They actually shot a conclusion for season 1 but it was scrapped in favor of the cliffhanger.

To be fair fictional schools have never cared about child safety from UA throwing building sized million dollar robots and children with no combat training to hogwarts doing stuff like submerging the loved ones of the competitors in the tri wizard tournament underwater for up to an hour just for a competition that if they fail said loved ones drown and die or how about the whomping willow they decided that to conceal the passageway they needed not to use a concealment spell but instead make a magic tree that bludgeons you to death if you get close when said passageway is on school grounds meaning children are at risk to get killed by this thing
