Carrie's style is what fashion is all about. so many people have lost that and just want to copy off others and trends like you spoke about with your previous video, it's also one of the things that annoy me about the " this is elegant, this is not elegant" "coaches" because they believe that everyone should look the same and if you wear certain colors, patterns or styles than you're not "elegant" or "classy". I've seen how rude and entitled some of those wome n that come from wealth can be, while the girl who wears sneakers and graphic t's, dresses in goth clothing can be the sweetest girls you'll ever meet but I guess being a sn06 makes them "elegant"

The fact that Andy’s personality didn’t charge after the job- she always spoke nicely to Nate and her friends, was the first to apologize, and always wanted to talk the conflict out- convinces me that Nate didn’t really KNOW Andy. He knew her aesthetic. He sees Andy changing her looks as her changing entirely, because how she looks is how he perceives her. She was supposed to be his humble not-like-other-girls girlfriend. He wanted her to always look the way he wanted and to act the way he wanted. So once she did things for herself, he was done with the relationship. Notice that when he talks to her about being a stripper, he starts “I would’ve been fine with..”. It’s all about him and if she makes choices he approves of first, never about him talking WITH her, taking her plans and interests seriously, and understanding her choices. To him fashion will never be serious or important, he is not interested in learning, so that automatically means Andy’s job will never be serious or worth anything, therefore she had “no integrity”. He’s a man who doesn’t respect femininity, so when Andy starts dressing more femininely and gains feminine interests (remember, she was pleasantly surprised when she read some books about fashion!), he loses his respect for her.

I used to try to get my hair to look like the women I saw on TV only to realize that a lot of those styles were wigs. I stopped trying after that and wore my hair the way I wanted... slicked back and up!😶‍🌫️

It seems like back in the day, although celebrities were setting trends, people weren’t dedicating their whole wardrobe to looking like it. It was usually like an outfit or two. I think these online retailers having soooo many options, it takes away from the experience of clicking through the sites and finding what you like just as you do in the mall/physical stores. Shein & fashion nova especially has so much inventory that its so much easier for people to just see a haul or outfit inspo online and go from there. I hate it. I prefer shopping in person for the full experience but because of fast fashion, these malls are closing down. The only malls surviving are the more high-end malls but paying $100 for a cute dress (thats not even timeless) is crazy!!!
