Digital Twin based Condition Monitoring of Rotor System
This video demonstrates how rotor dynamics can be simulated in the time domain applicable to Digital Twin based Condition Monitoring. Both physical (Bently Nevada RK4) and virtual testing (FEDEM/Non-linear FEA) are demonstrated and compared wrt. to axial deflections, hot spot stresses and bearing loads. A high speed Photron camera is used to visualize the radial deformations of the rotor axis at critical speeds. The selection of sampling rates in physical and virtual tests are discussed
