Join this solo senior as I make the most of retirement alone, traveling in my Transit Connect, known as my hotel on wheels.
This journey isn't always about me, as I've learned to move forward in life. I have experienced several "what if moments" as I continue to excercise self care after 11 years of caregiving and losing my spouse.
I retired in 2023 and ventured on my first big trip camping along the way for 5 months to the east coast from Alberta. Not wanting to do the usual, I ventured up to Labrador City from Quebec on Route 389.
I'm continuing my ventures on the west coast of Canada and the US, meeting up with some amazing people along the way.

Did you know, i learned this not too many years ago... That when Quebec (the church...) accepted the Irish most had to change their last name... O'Brien... Who settled on a huge rock became O'Brien of the Rock.. Then the Rock was turned into it's French equivalent: Desroches or Desrochers... Maybe it would be fun to research this theme once more...

Wow. Very good camera work. I can imagine what it must look like with a little sun pearing through the clouds. I'm going to start hiking on the T'Railway trail next week. Will fly to St-John's. Look for some gear (backpack etc.) and make it to Port aux Basques. Walking...

@@Guillermo-ym5yn there is a Caribou herd that hangs around Burgeo. I just did a last minute trip down to Burgeo but ended up running into a lot of fog that day, but also seen the Caribou.

Stoke pizza, best pizza ever! I do love the Lagoon, however not in this heat. You must have been there awhile ago in that windy cold weather. Be safe and the west coast. I live in the Esquimalt area of Victoria and can be at any water in about ten minutes, it’s great.
