I thought if bicycles have their own lane, we don't have to overtake them, we would just drive in our own lane and they drive in their lane. Please can someone explain? I have never seen cars overtaking bicycles in such a case.

What if the van on the right (33:43) would want to enter the street instead of allowing us to move forward? Or, what if we encounter a car that comes in opposite direction? Una cosa curiosa que Paola no mensiona sobre Colombia es que a nosotros constantemente nos toca utilizar los espejos y los puntos ciegos para todo se atraviesan perros, gente, motos, bicicletas y vendedores en sus carritos y por el trafico casi siempre nos toca andar lento, aqui en Alemania ya se ve un poco mas el respeto y la velocidad parecido a Estados Unidos, claro se cambia de millas a Kilometros.

Brother, thank you for the video. I have a question. if I understood you right you said one should start reducing speed limit 5 km before reaching the next sighn. 1. How does one know the next speed is after 5km? 2. How can one know the next speed limit? It can be more than the current speed.

This is the mistake I always do in my driving lessons and my instructor says 'I get concerned when you do that' :P. I even do it when there is no oncoming car, especially in a narrow road where I feel like I drive on the oncoming lane and subconsciously drive too close to the parked cars. In short, I cannot judge properly from inside of the car the width of the road or the size of the car. Could you please make an elaborate video explaining how to use the mirrors to judge my car's position properly :D? For example: how to know if I am too close to the parking cars by using the mirrors, if I stay in the middle of the lane, how to use them and what to check while parking, etc. My instructor says that the mirrors are the best tool and told me to build a habit of using them to their best. Thanks for your videos.

Good detailed video. All steps are good....we concentrate on these things and many times miss the speed limit sign during autobahn entry. I have seen most of the places there are speed limit signs aling side of entry lane. !
