I am really positive that this year, 2017, UP will show new skills for the upcoming UAAP CDC. I've seen their tosses in this routine, hindi sila ganyan mag execute ng basic tosses. Full twist nila normally, ang bagal. May height, pero yung pagturn nung katawan mabagal. Pano ko nasabi? UP Pep 2015 Group Stunts, Sam Corrales, full twist na ang pinakamahirap na toss na inexecute nya sa routine. Tosses: 0:53 Dito, sa pinakaunang toss, sya yung nasa middle. Hindi sya ganon magtwist, na mabilis at kapowerful. Pati si Jari, katabi ni Sam sa kanan. Last 2015 mabagal din magtwist ang katawan nya kahit single full twist lang yan, ngayon iba na. Trust me I am this observant sa individual capabilities ng UP Pep members cuz, yknow, fangirling since who-knows-when. 2:23 Si Fae Pascua sa bandang kaliwa yung medyo front, opening yon para sa 2 skills in one toss na stunt. Could be x-Out (pero sure ako hindi to X-Out dahil straight ang knees nya) to double fulls. Tumblings: Seen that landing at 1:34? May momentum pa para ituloy yung tumbling pass. At apat sila, may isang babae. Can anyone calrify kung mas mataas ba ang binibigay na scores sa tumblings pag babae ang nag eexecute? I've seen some comment na mas mataas ang scores ng girls sa tumbling pass na full twist ang landing compared sa boys. Dance, Pyramids, Aesthetics, Musicality: Malakas pa din sila. Ito talaga yung kahit kailan hindi nawala sa UP. Theory: May natatagong skills ang UP. Ang lakas ng pakiramdam ko. Had the same thoughts with most of you guys when I watched this for the 1st time. But the UP Pep Squad FB admin answered to criticisms. They didn't directly answer, but the response is implying that the skills shown here are downgraded. And it's pretty obvious when you watch it again. Definitely kaya na nilang mag-double down pero hindi nila ginawa. They simply showed the creativity behind their routine and have it shown to the fans, without revealing the skills they've worked on. And we all know UP keeps on making improvements every year like the rest of the teams. But if you look at the pyramids, damn! I think that gives a preview or a teaser of how much improvement they've made. If you look at the partner stunts at 2:44 as well, sobrang komportable na din ng mga flyers at bases nila at sinadya na lang nilang mag-prep level just to avoid injuries. But I'm estimating nakapag-train na sila ng full extension mount, and/or baka naka-heel stretch na yung mga flyers nila. Pyramid at 1:03, the body position of the top flyers are also looking too comfortable. Baka in the actual CDC, naglagay pa sila ng other transitions, etc. I'm also pretty sure they've worked on their tosses. If you look at the sequence at 3:44, walang masiyadong gumagawa ng bird front sa CDC dati kasi mahirap na skill siya, pero yung flyers ng UP, nakapagdagdag pa sila ng full twist, at travelling toss pa. Definitely, may mga nakatago pa yang skills. Overall I think it makes sense not to show all out the new skills they've acquired this year. Otherwise, yun na yung paghahandaan ng ibang teams next year, assuming na sasali sila sa CDC 2017.

Championship Rank: UAAP - #1 (based on 20 medals), followed by #2 UST (16 medals) , #3 FEU (15 medals), #4 De La Salle (6 medals) and #5 NU (5 medals). Isn't this amazing? I do not think there is any other (Phi) team who can top or at least equal the accomplishments of this team at this time.

It's UP Pep Squad thanking their community, the bond between the UP Pep and their UP Community is something that you can't understand, so para kayong mga chismosong kapitbahay na nakatanghod sa bakod at binabantayan lahat ng pwede laiitin sa routine. Nakakamiss yung Madonna Inspired routine nila nung 2011 - I think yun yung the best nila. How sad lang yung dating pinaka-idol mo sa cheerleading hindi na ng-level-up and worst parang downgraded pa. Anyway palitan nalang po ng workhard yung pride nyo, see you next year!

im a fan of this team eversince. pero nabago dahil sa kakaibang level of performance ng NU. hindi nakakabuti sa UP pepsquad ang pagboycott. kasi it made them more degrading for being called a sore losers. it doesnt help their school's spirits. instead of lifting them up, sa mga comments for their team sobrang daming negative vibes that will definitely affect them at lalo sila maprepressure next year. lets see if magiimprove ang elements and tosses ng UP pepsquad next year. show us a performance next year na gaya ng NU hehe peace

I don't understand why the UP head coach can't get over the results and boycotted this year's UAAP. First of all Cheerleading is a subjective sport. It's a sport where in you have panel of judges who scores and decides who the winners are. That's the very nature of the sport and it will never change. Second, The NU pep squad is better than the UP pep when technicalities are concerned because most of the NU pep members are gymnasts. . Lastly, The UAAP CDC has had some really questionable outcomes/winners before prior to last year's CDC. (ex. when UP won 2010 and FEU was only 1st runner up and many more..) but still no university has ever boycotted the CDC because of the results. The UP pep and their coach think that they're better and bigger than the UAAP but there's a difference between school pride and just PRIDE. Personally, I wouldn't suggest that the UP pep should replace it's trademark songs, style and creativity but I really think that they should change their coach(lalala) because they need someone who doesn't have that much PRIDE and someone who can make them technically better. Look at AdU, new coach and they just had an awesome routine. FEU new coach as well. Same with NU they changed their coaches last 2011 and look at them now.
