He was so young! Sounds like a little schoolboy.
Jude Law on Pixar?
The pace and detail of this movie - documentary-like is a good description by Hader - has been one of those important ingredients missing in all sequels so far. Aliens is closest of course but since there're so many Aliens it's not at all the same. Alien³ was trying hard to go back to that but its screenplay suffered from the awful circumstances under which this movie was shot. Alien Resurrection was just all around terrible (very much a b-movie actually) and the prequels are something else altogether.
"This guy Milosz Forman..."
Heat is my favorite move of all time. Classic on so many levels.
I worked at a video store as a teenager and we could take any unrented movies home at night. This was one of my regulars. Uncle Buck, Out of Time, Warlock, Big Trouble in Little China....uhm....
There are several scenes in Cybulski's movies that pretty much mirror the way he would eventually die in 1967. Namely scenes of him jumping into a moving train at the last moment. That's the way he died in real life.
does this guy ever shut up?
dislike for the fucking ads. Disgusting people. 🤘🏻
How about Norm's 3 word review of Interview With A Vampire... "Not gay enough." 😄
'Not to be taken literally'......Meanwhile.....
This was before all the super hero movies as we know today btw
I just realised all these films are about his father. These great, accomplished, flawed men.
Chad paul: oh thank u quentin. I immediately heard plainviews voice in that
All you Travis "literally me" fanboys have to live with the fact that Travis is a racist. Ger over it. If your takeway from the film is that Travis is a lot like you, then you should change yourself, not keep lying to yourself about who you are by lying to yourself about who Travis is.
the main reason it works so well - NO CGI
Incredible breakdown of this film
Norm Macdonald? That’s a terrible name for a person. It reminds me of that tragedy
All time great Norm story. "Two foreigners!" His delivery of that is so damn funny to me haha,
I watch this film with my family every month or so. It's one of my wife and I's favorites. For me, it shares the depths of sexual temptation without succumbing to it. That fine line is far more engaging than indulgence itself. It makes you feel human, and reveals our dance with passion that is shrouded in potential atrocity and corruption. Eyes Wide Shut is like watching a couple play with fire and not get burned. It's a miracle in that sense. I sure hope they fucked later 😂
The people against Larry Flynt*
`Mr. Friedkin, you are not wearing your tie!` Hitchcock to Billy Friedkin
Thief reminds me of a Jean Pierre Melleville film like Le Samourai or Le Cercle Rouge. But very Chicago. Cover is like Maya Deren
these are clips from the Criterion DVD unrated version. presented in the open matte full camera negative. this is the most complete version of this movie.
EWS sucks, the least of Kubrick, Cruise and Kidman act like soap opera
No matter how many times I've seen this movie, I'm always surprised when Norm shows up.
Bill is dead on. Hoffman was unbelievably good.
i love Norm haven't seen him in a while, hope he's doing well.
He died a while ago

Classic
I waited until 2017 (my early 30s) to watch this film, and I must say I do not regret that decision. Fight Club has changed meaning for me multiple times over the years, which is one type of enjoyment you can get from a film, but I'm glad I watched this with none of the illusions youth builds. I'm really glad I experienced this film.
No offense, but one's early 30s is still quite young. Watch the movie again in two decades, and you will know what I mean.
Pulp Fiction>Once Upon a Time>Jackie Brown>>Death Proof>>Kill Bills>>Reservoir Dogs>>>>>Inglourious Basterds>H8>Django.
One of my favorite quotes about Norm is that he was always the smartest guy in the room but pretending to be the dumbest guy in the room.
Norm was the best
It’s the most subtlety stylized movie of all time. Each scene is layered 3 times over
Another great movie with Zbigniew Cybulski and also my all-time favorite Polish movie is "Night Train" ("Pociąg") from 1959. Masterpiece.
…
RoboCop is the perfect, over-the-top 80s action/sci-fi movie. Paul Verhoeven was a mad genius and there will never be another film like it.
In addition to Burt Reynolds, Quentin Tarnatino - the late great Norm did a killer Milos Forman impression. I miss this guy!
God bless Norm, I hope he stays with us forever.
Funny how Paul Verhoeven has a thick Dutch accent but still he chooses to Americanize the pronunciation of his own last name. (Yes, I am Dutch myself) It's Ver-Who-Ven, not Ver-Ho-Ven, and the E in Ver is pronounced like the E in Next.
Michael Mann is the GOAT. Watch "Thief" if you don't believe me...
0:53 haha, damn fine editing sir!
🍀Still making me laugh 👀✌️
If only Riddly Scott had directed Star Wars….
What the H?
Still the best of us
To all the ROBOCOP fans out there, look for "Flesh and Steel: the making of Robocop". It'll be worth your time.
Good riddance, Norm!
Obvious troll is obvious.
