Love your videos! How hard is it to get hired by an airline at 60? I have over 30 years experience in the hospitality industry. I would love the opportunity to bring my customer service skills to the airline industry. Just not sure if it is worth wasting their time as well as mine.

I was wondering should I go to uni before I become a flight attendant to get a different degree maybe for something I might want to do afterwards??

Having been a Flight Attendant for nearly 27 years... Initially with USAirwsus and then American Airlines following the merger in 2014... I can honestly say... American Airlines is the absolute worst. They have a Culture of Intimidation and use Scare Tactics to keep their Frontline Employees in check. I have literally seen grown women and men weep and sob for the tiniest infraction. American Airlines will own you.

Thank you Liz for making this video! I had my video interview today and one of the questions I gave a long answer and it timed out but at least I was able to type out my response at the end of the interview. It was a two part question about how I have handled an emergency situation and what I would do differently with only 3 minutes to answer, I got cut off mid sentence. Fingers crossed they liked my answer and read my statement at the end.

16 year old me can’t stop smiling!!! I put my “little girl” dream on hold to raise my kids, now at 50 finally realizing that dream and this will be me every single day of my 47 days of training!!! Someone pinch me because I still can’t believe it’s happening!!🥰🥰🥰🥰

This was me at work April 18th when my training date email came through!!! Like literally me freaking out, jumping up and down and calling everyone I could on my break to tell them!!! I leave in 23 days now!! I hope a year later you’re still this excited!! I know I will be!!💕💕💕

Hey Liz, it's great to see you in training. I used to work for the same airline as you. I was a CSA at SAN Airport for three years, and it was a fantastic experience. The company looked after us; I'm sure they do the same for the F/A Group. I'm excited to see your progress in training and find out which city you'll be based in. Liz I was a flight attendant for 20+ years .I stopped flying in 2012 I'm in my late 50s closing in on 60 some years from now . Do you think it is possible to enter the airline industry at this age or to even be hired at this late stage ? I miss flying and know the ins the outs and what it is all about good and bad .. I know what reserve is and did it for years and lived in 6 different bases. What are your thoughts? 🎉 I would need one year before I start the process as I need to prepare my body building strength and stamina as I have some health problems.❤ Thank You

I did my zoom group interview then got email to go to face to face in Dallas, Tx in may then a week later get an email due to space for training classes in 2024 they have to email me & others they don’t have room to reapply in the fall? I have never heard of this I was so excited 🤷‍♀️
