Motor sounds nice and healthy. U won't get much speed with a 4100kv. You'll have to go to the 5300kv on 3s or run the 8200kv castle on 2s. I run most my 2wd minis on 6000kv plus

As you said, looks a bit toy'ish, and that was also the impression I got from Kyosho's promo video... But it looked alright on the bench (except for the rear shocks, ha ha!), and what's interesting is how it drives! I'll be looking out for your run video, see how it does!

I wonder if the differential and a couple of small gears in the gearbox are the same as in the sandmaster, the axxe, nexxt, monster tracker, many users of the Ez series suffered from a shortage of parts for this cart (if there were any on ebay but at exaggerated prices)

I picked up a Sandmaster MK1 a couple of months ago,second hand.Always wanted one,quite like the looks. This Mk2 looks essentially the same,though with a few "upgraded" parts. They drive quite nicely,it is definitely set up for on road,and beginners-the castor on the front makes it difficult to spin out, it has massive understeer. I replaced the pogo stick shocks with some alu ones and changed the wheels/tyres for larger buggy ones,as the ground clearance is pretty poor. It now drives quite well on the dirt. Motor can overheat quite badly with that thick motor stone guard thingy around it. A fun project and rare to find that many 2WD buggies these days. It goes much like my Tamiya DT-02 though heavier and less responsive on corners.

Not the best track for onroad cars, would be cool to see a 14th scale buggy on that track, or something... CZcams had this in the suggestions, I subscribed, and will check your channel, see what else you got going.

Great run and agree, brushed is much harder to get speed out of, that's a challenge all on it's own (unless you way over gear the snot out of them). Even with really decent brushed equipment (motor & esc) speed is hard to get, again, without cutting or hacking the chassis and/or gear cover to put on a pinion that way too big (and not very smart for a brushed motor). Brushed motors don't like to be over geared and they really don't like getting hot, over 220 degrees, normal temps are about 180 to 220, I try to stay closer to the 180 or less... Burned up a few in my time... Hint, after cleaning a brushed motor, the windings should still look like copper, if they are turning black or stay really dark, its getting or has been ran hot... No fixing that.

Pretty cool man, TB01 or TB02? You said both... TB01, Tamiya did make as a rally car, TB02 was mostly on road (had two TB02's) TB01 motor was on the left (TT01) and the TB02, motor was on the right (TT02). Both (well, all kits) are great.. Thanks for the idea for a rally cross track!!! Awesome run dude, great job but only you can say what one is better.

I ran another car yesturday in this same parking lot. Different radio.... same results. There are two spots where radio cuts out completley. Going to find a new spot to run.

Aww man.. what a nightmare.. We always do things like 'ah, just one more run..' or know we should've stopped. We'll never learn though. lol. Hopefully the rebuilt will be all good. look forward to more updates soon

Oh dear that really didn't end well ☹ I broke my GPS doing speed runs the other day and I got one of those newer ones that connects to the phone app. A bit more hassle to get your speed reading but the advantage is that you can leave it safely Gorilla taped under the body where it won't get knocked off. Hope you have better luck on the next one 👍
