It sucks that you have to hold a large glass under the spout during cold brew!
That is definitely a downside of this machine: you can’t brew into larger cups. A workaround would’ve been to keep the machine on an edge and remove the drip tray, but it can’t work without the drip tray installed.
because it’s old dirt, you have to use hot water or steam this machine is good with fresh dirt
I do use hot water in my carpet machines. Unfortunately most of the cleaning I have to do is on old dirt (I detail people’s cars). Bissell released a new portable steam carpet cleaner that I need to check out.
Your Hella picky man blue light 😅
😂😂 you’re not wrong! I’m definitely picky, especially when it comes to cleaning!
Having owned a Jura (pronounced Yura) for years, I was impressed by your detailed review. When my old machine conked out, I didn’t replace it, but the Z10 looks interesting. My drink of choice is the cappuccino, though, and I was never very satisfied with the foam. The glass milk containers are the best choice, though. I first bought the Jura milk cooler, but it was awkward to keep clean, and a waste of money, imo. Even with regular cleaning, the milk pipe should be replaced occasionally. I learned that when I bought the very nice stainless steel casing for it, but when I removed it to check out the pipe after many months, it looked pretty gross. I liked that you showed the height limitation for a cup or glass, as that will surprise some buyers. Luckily, I never had trouble with help from Jura by phone (back then it was to their New Jersey office, I believe.) It was always great service for years, until they apparently had some new hires that didn’t know what they were talking about. Finally, thank you for mentioning the extended warranty idea (which I didn’t have.) Great idea, especially for a pricey Z10. (Btw, just days ago, I read that an 0-ring failure, causing leaks and puddling on counters, is not uncommon on Juras. YT has a few videos on that.) For those of you who like cappuccinos/cappuccini, please let me know how you like the foam from the Z10. Ciao!
Thanks for watching! I agree, the glass containers are ideal. I was able to snag two of them for about $35/piece off of Amazon last year and they’ve served us well. Super easy to clean too, which is always a plus! I was able to find replacement milk pipes for cheap on Amazon as well, along with a cleaning brush small enough to fit in the tubes. What I like to do is swap the tubes around when doing the milk cleaning cycle, that way each tube gets cleaned with chemicals every few days. I really like the foam in the Z10, especially when using whole milk. My wife uses soy juice (😂) and that foams up nicely too, though not as well as whole milk, in my opinion.
@@PriTeshla Thank you for the feedback!
Shortly after posting this video, then handle on the smoker came off entirely. I'm currently trying to solder it back on.
Soldering did not work. I am still handleless

@chadsadventures nice! I noticed that a lot of the recipes on their site that I’m interested in end up being for the grill.
Once you get them repotted and fertilized and happy again, the new buds will be visible to your phone camera!
I just repotted them! They seem to be putting out more leaves, I’m impatiently waiting for more blooms now!
It’s been 5 years now owning S8 and no issues. Perfect coffee machine. I’m gonna wait until they fix the bugs on this one, but definitely getting this for sure due to cold brew. Looks like a great all around coffee machine.
Do you like the S8? That’s the one I was considering before I bought the Z10, but overall I’m happy with my decision.
@@PriTeshla I love the S8. It’s bulletproof and easy to maintain. I’ve tried almost every brand of coffee bean, nothing beats Death Wish Dark Roast. Might be too strong to some, but it’s like a match made in heaven with S8. The only thing with the Z10 I wish the water container is not visible from the front, that design looks cheap but I’ll take that anytime for a cold brew option. I still want it lol.
The nice thing about the water container being easy to see is that it makes it easy to fill too! We never remove it, we just top it off with fresh water as needed. I will have to check out Death Wish, we’re stocked up on Lavazza … probably enough to last the rest of the year!
@@PriTeshla Glad you have this amazing machine. I just discovered giga 10. Now it’s between this and giga 10 lol. I really like this one tho.
@@ixibladeixi2639where do you purchase this coffee bean? I live strong coffee.
Do you also clean the silicone milk hose after you make the latte? Or you just keep them with the milk container into the fridge?
I keep them on there until the container is empty. At that point I’ll either wash manually using a tiny brush or I’ll use them on the cleaner and let them clean by the solution running through them
You have to remove the plastic film around the buttons for the air quality sensor to measure correctly ☝️It’s basically covered.
Don’t worry, the plastic was removed shortly after this video and the purifier has been running flawlessly! The air sensor calls me out sometimes, if I fart too close to it it’ll instantly kick into high speed 😳
What was the 3rd party warranty company you mentioned mate? I couldn't quite catch the name in the video.

Same with mine and i doubt my air is clean
Good jod i can do my stars thank you just pay close attention 😂😂
The CFM rating is what you're supposed to look at, the winix is like 340 cfm's the shark with the supposed 5 year filter not the one had is only 220 at Sam's club and it is 435 cfm's, cfm is how much air it moves, people lie on the box on how many times it can filter a room in ine hour since what was the air quality during their test, i could get a 150 dollar air purifier with 250 cfm and filter a 1000 sqft room 4 times in one hour on max speed if the air quality started off in the upper 90's, shark starts their test with 60% air quality and it takes them an hour to bring the room to 99-100% air quality, the higher the CDR cfm the faster it moves the air, if one air purifier is 250 cfm and another is 430 cfm, the 430 cfm moves the air 60% faster, google the cfm of your new air purifier and cimpar it to the shark.
I disagree. CFM indicates air movement yes, but doesn’t take into account filter efficiency. If I take out the filter on my Winix it’ll have great air flow, but what’s the point? But I agree they do lie on the box, which was my beef with the Shark. The Winix is AHAM certified to do what it says and uses the standard CADR measurement to determine sqft. The Shark carried no certification of how it determined the cleaning capacity listed on the box, and even then it was listed in a misleading way.
@@PriTeshla Shark air purifiers are all CARB certified ww2.arb.ca.gov/list-carb-certified-air-cleaning-devices
Please read that link you posted. Specifically the 2nd paragraph.
Coming from other machines I don't see the option to chose 8 10 12 16 ounces cup sizes
I don’t think you can choose set sizes like that unless you program a drink for each size. But it does make it a bit difficult to figure out how much you’re getting if you’re making a milk drink because that goes by number of seconds of milk and number of seconds of foam instead of ml or oz. I kind of understand why they did that since there’s no good way to know how much milk will come out if you’re not using a specific type of milk.
Also a good tip. If you have a small stain. Make sure to clean the whole area as there will be a clear Water mark.
You should soak it more. Help the cleaner loosen the stain.
Why exactly are there 2 different cleaners? When you hit spray, it sprays both?
Yes, that’s right. The chemicals and water are kept apart and mix in the spray.
So I have an R/O system as well. JURA I thought told me you can’t use R/O water with this unit. Curious what your thoughts are.
I've gone back and forth on it but my R/O machine doesn't completely remove everything, I still get a reading on the built-in TDS meter. For me, the biggest thing is that by the time (or if) the R/O water caused damage to the machine, I will have probably saved enough on not buying Jura's water filters that I can just buy the latest machine at the time!
thats interesting whats the rationale for not using r/O water?
@@samp1568 Not sure but I am using my R/O and so far no issues. I am also using the Jura filter.
@samp1568 There’s concern that RO water is actually slightly acidic and will leach the metals from the inside of the machine, eventually causing damage.
I've used R/O water in my Jura Z6 for six years now, machine is still going strong, no issues that I can see.
Nobody in there right mind is going to pay that much for a bird feeder with a camera.

Wait, so you ended up swnding this back and getting a Winix? How are you liking the Winix so far? Is it the same one at Costco? Debating on which to get.
Yes, that’s right. I sent it back because of its misleading claims on room size. Loving the Winix C909 from Costco, ended up getting two smaller refurbed C545 directly from Winix as well. Kind of annoying to set up the WiFi, but nice to be able to control them and monitor filter and air quality levels from my phone, which the Shark lacked.
@PriTeshla does that one have a true hepa filter?
Yes, the Winix has a true HEPA!
Thank you for showing the manual
No problem!
My Z10 is loud when I turn it off. I hear that your machine is also as loud as mine. Is it normal?
Yup! Normal noises. We just hit 1776 drinks made, and it’s still doing fine.
@@PriTeshlathats a decent amount of drinks! what time frame was that over?
@samp1568 that was about a year in. We avg 4 to 5 drinks a day 🫣
Very helpful. I prefer 140 for my lattes. 150 is what my Oracle Touch runs as standard, but all my coffee nerd friends say about 140 is best for lattes.
Good to know! Do you think that 133ish is enough?
So if I make lattes every day, I have to go through that milk cleaning process with the tablets every day? That kinda sucks.
Yeah, a bit annoying but we’ve got a routine now. We let it clean at the end of the night and worry about dumping the pucks and drip tray in the morning. We started using Urex brand cleaning liquid and tablets. I compared the ingredients and they are similar to the Jura tabs and they seem to be working just as well at a significantly lower price.
You don't have to, although bacteria will form inside the machine and get pretty gross and eventually get you sick.

Better just to learn how to make real espresso drinks using a real espresso machine
Maybe, but ain’t nobody got time for that!
@@PriTeshla managing and cleaning this machine doesn’t look any faster. There’s no special milk cleaning tablets daily procedure or scale buildup on a real machine.
What about back flushing and cleaning steam wand etc. ? The daily procedure on this is set and forget.
@@PriTeshla don’t need to back flush if you use a puck screen. Steam wand wipe is done while steaming milk takes absolutely no time or supplies.
Maybe when this thing breaks I’ll look into that then!
How do you reset the filter indicator? The instructions included are for the C545 not the C909 😮
The filter indicator light itself is a button, just press on it until it resets!
Well! After watching this video I’m no longer interested in purchasing it! You pay so much money and you get crappy customer service? No thank you! Thanks for sharing
Definitely understandable! These things are not cheap!

hey bud quick question, kinda new to the whole automatic coffee machines, so do u guys just use one type of beans, and that does or expresso/latte and regular coffee? if so then do buy expresso beans or how does work?
We use all different kinds of beans. It’s a matter of just finding the right taste that you like and then trying to dial in the settings a bit. We’ve found that we prefer medium roast beans.
Do you have to go through that milk cleaning process every time you have a milk based drink?
It does a self rinse automatically after 8 minutes, but the full out milk system clean with the chemical is supposed to be done once a day

I just got it 2 days ago. Calibration was such a pain in the ass for this light. You're also supposed to do it in the dark or a darker room.
Hmm I didn’t find the calibration to be too bad, but that may explain why my colors are still a bit off lol! How do you like the light though?
Thank you for sharing your video. Fellow z10 member here. Curious if you kept a setting guide for different beans from Costco. Specifically Costco because we go through a lot of coffee and small bags just wont cut it.
Unfortunately I did not keep a list of the settings, but the only thing I really ever had to change between beans was the grind size; the ideal grind size seems to vary between medium and fine. I think I will start keeping a guide now though, great idea! Btw when you switch to bigger bags, I recommend looking into an Airscape container if you don’t already have something similar.
Bought one of these just a few weeks ago and considering returning it. The milk system doesn't seem to work correctly. Milk doesn't flow smoothly. It sputters and splatters all over the place. Tried check lines for air leaks and everything seems good. Waiting on Jura to respond to our email to address this. If not, we are returning it. Kinda disappointing for the amount of money this machine costs.
Yeah, that's not normal behavior. We see that sometimes with soy milk, but it's not a constant occurance and it's usually just for a couple of seconds. Almost never see sputting when using whole milk. While I hope Jura responds to your email and helps you find a resolution, my experience with their customer service left a lot to be desired.
The machine 'squeezes' the milk tube to slow the flow and heat the milk to a higher temp. I can't go above level 7 with oat milk as it is too thick and splutters. Perhaps try lowing the milk temp?
Hi, can you save drinks to a user? I like strong coffee and the wife not so strong. Don’t want to change settings every time.
You can’t save by user but you can save multiple drinks and name them. So my wife has her favorite drink labeled with her name and I have mine labeled with my name.
sounds like this coffee machine has pro and con thing , though looks very interesting machine , sorry
Yes, it does have its pros and cons. We use this thing 5 to 8 times a day! The hardest part has been being able to consistently find coffee beans that we like. But would I buy this machine again? I’m not sure. My wife is the main coffee drinker and she sticks to her one drink and does not deviate. I like to try different ones but I mainly stick to my one drink too.
Not that hot
This is extremely useful! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this 👍🏻 This machine does seem to be ticking all the boxes!
You're very welcome!
Thanks for the video! Would you say the milk temperature gets hot enough? I know it's a subjective thing but if you pre warm the cup etc, how do you find the milk temp once a drink is prepared? Thank you ☺
That’s actually one of the things you can adjust! I’ve turned it down a little bit for my set drinks, but yes I would say the milk definitely gets hot enough. If you’d like I can take a temp reading of the hottest milk setting!
@@PriTeshla ah that sounds promising then! If you wouldn’t mind measuring the temperature of the milk at some point, that’d be super helpful. Thanks so much!

Salmon shouldn't smell. Have your wife soak it in water with lemon juice about 15 min. before cooking. 😊 My kid loves salmon. I cook it twice a week. No odors.
Thanks for the tip! We’ll have to try it next time!
How easy would you say it is to make two milk drinks in succession? That’s the only thing putting me off, not being able to make 2 in together.
It’s not an issue. That’s what we usually do; my wife will make her soy milk coffee and then she’ll usually make me a whole milk coffee right afterwards. We don’t do a rinse or anything in between, the only time delay is the machine spitting out the coffee puck and reseting itself which is usually less than 20 seconds, and however long it takes for you to place the milk tube into your choice of milk container. Not sure if I answered your question, let me know if you meant something else!
I picked one up at Walmart and I'm actually taking it back. The cost of the 2 bottles of solution is a minimum of $32.47 at Walmart. Bissell cleaner is $10. And If you want to rinse, you have to take the blue bottle solution out and fill with water. On mine the nozzle didn't fit to the top for storage. Hopefully you enjoy your unit!
I didn’t realize the refills were so expensive! I found the solution didn’t even work that well. I might see if I can just use a different solution. I just did the rinse without removing the blue bottle solution, bit of a waste I guess.
Buy the other brand cleaner and use it in this one ......
I believe you can use any cleaning solutions
@@PriTeshladid you find another cheaper and effective solution to replace the original one?
I have not yet. And to be completely honest this thing has been sitting collecting dust, have not used it in several months.
How much did u pay for it tho?
$3700 USD. Bought it directly on the Jura website.
Thanks for the video. Do you know if it can be used with Google Home/Google Assistant?
It can! They just added support for Google Assistant. You can fully control it and get statuses like current indoor air quality.
@@PriTeshla is that added support something you have to add to existing devices through a firmware update? Or how ?
Nope! You just link the Winix app through Google Home by going to add a device and then selecting the “Works with Google” option.
The app is crap. Not that it could be good. You have to be at the machine to put a glass underneath it so why use the app?
Agreed. The app seems like more of a gimmick than anything. The interface of the app has improved since I made this video though... I mostly use the app just to monitor the maintenance statuses.
I have a Jura S8 and love it. It’s 3 years old and has performed flawlessly.
That's good to hear, gives me some faith in this machine! Do you know if you're supposed to send it in to Jura at some point for like a deep clean/maintenance?
Does it rinse cycle when it gets turned on, or when it gets turned off? Also, can you program it to automatically turn on every day at a certain time?
It does a quick rinse when you turn it on and a bit of longer rinse when you turn it off. You cannot program it to turn on at a certain time, but the startup doesn't take very long anyways.
For me the big pull to this machine is the auto grind size adjustment. Have you found that it is worth it? I mean, if you're going to go automatic, go automatic.
For sure, that’s what really sold me on it and I love that feature the most. And I agree, I would’ve gone with something much cheaper otherwise, like a Philips. It’s also kinda cool to see the different grinds up close in the pucks it spits out.
@@PriTeshla Thanks for the feedback. Looks like I'm getting the expensive one!
The Z10 is too large for my space and was considering the ENA8. The only thing about the ENA8 is the 10g max instead of the 16g max of the Z10. Would like anyone who has tested both machines to share their thoughts please.
@@mr.g702 is that the hopper size? I bought the Z10 and have been enjoying it. As long as you put good beans in, the coffee/espresso is delicious! I might have a need to buy the EN8 for a mobile application where I have less space.
@@KeithStrang, No, it is not the hopper size but the grinding size per serving.
