Vinegar and water half and half would stop the rust.
Discount code says it reached its usage limit 😞
I’ll contact them and see if they’ll add to it.
Currently have a Durac mix with the dippities. Finally coming out of it after 10-12 days. Tried anti inflammatories with no success. Thanks for this video
Buy howd he get in there?
Show how you build your barrel waterers… ?
Yep, I got a horse like that. His stupid mischief always results inbhim getting stuck. Caught red hoofed. 4 ft wide chicken coop with 1 man door entry & the goat shed with his head stuck in feeder too. 😂
well that's cool but scary
always have it cause was brought up with it in australia Chris but yes you need butter with it also you have it on apples. Yes your spot on there we use it as a flavour base in soups and stews, also if you mix it with honey you get what the english in the uk call sweet an sour
Very well done video. I appreciate honest no-nonsense reviews. I purchased an American Farmer 10 mile solar unit. Thought it was an oversight that the clips weren't with the unit. Now I will have to do another 30 mile trip to get what should have been included. Not a good start. If I have the problems you have had with the 5 mile unit I may solve it by burying the unit in a landfill or use it as a brush pile fire starter.
🤣🤣 let’s hope not!! Maybe you got a good one! Thanks for watching!
Darn, wish I had seen this video before buying my starkline kit. I guess my next investment will be a Gallagher S40 for my potable goat fence. Thanks for the heads up
Starkline says they’ve made improvements! But you can’t go wrong with Gallagher! If you order anything else from Starkline use our discount code! Enter Tillmanfamily at checkout for 10% off.
I just bought the new version, much more complicated, and I can't figure out how to get it to open. I wish I had this one!
We have a new one too! Be careful of the hung rings. One of the three is closer to the end of a poll. It goes on the opening side. You lift and it slides right off the pole for you to swing it open. We have and newer video that I talk about this in. Thanks for watching!
@@tillmanfamilyfarm7759 Got it worked out and it's good now, thanks!
Watched several of your videos today. Cannot find code anywhere. I want to order today!! Also haven't heard what state you're in. Love to know to compare weather, predators, etc. Can we use our solar charger we already have?
The discount code for Starkline Netting is Tillmanfamily all one work. It should work with any fence charger that is strong enough to charge the whole fence. Thanks for watching!
thanks a lot for this video. helped me a lot (wanted to check to see if they could go together nicely). i got the premier1 and i need more fence. and its out of stock lol. i just order the 48" utility from starkline. $180 on their website compared to TSC at $250
Order from the site and use our discount code!! Enter Tillmanfamily all one word at Che for 10% off your order.
@@tillmanfamilyfarm7759 damn I already ordered il email them and see if they can do anything about it
15 years of chics and i've seen that maybe twice... no clue ❤ i think you did the stark fence review? if so, thx :)
I did! Great company! Remember if you order there is a discount code. Use Tillmanfamily at checkout for 10% off!
We just did our first batch of American Bresse this morning. We hope to be able to use them as a dual-purpose bird going forward. I'll be parting them out this afternoon and freezing tomorrow and will let you know how we like the taste and weights. We'll probably do 20 or so Cornish Cross this summer to get us through until the Bresse get laying good. We have the same plucker and haven't had an issue...yet.
Very interested to hear about that. Were they good and meaty?
@tillmanfamilyfarm7759 we processed 10 roosters and just fried one up tonight. Excellent flavor and texture and better than Cornish cross, IMO. They seem very leggy, with the drumstick being at least 1" longer than "normal." Weights were in the 4.5# range, which is exactly what I wanted to see. The big drawback, of course, is that it takes 16 weeks to harvest, but they can free-range rather than being in the tractors. We hope they do a good job as layers, but that will be a few weeks out. If I do the Cornish again, I will harvest around 6 weeks and try to have 5# be my biggest birds. I really didn't like the 6#+ birds. They reminded me of Walmart chickens. Huge but tough. Once we get some solid egg production, I'll be glad to get you a few dozen hatching eggs if you want to try them. These came from North Star Farms in NC. Pricey birds, but, so far, at least, they have lived up to their billing.
It’s the eggs penis!
I was thinking the same thing...all those years of plucking by hand, I never knew these existed! Very cool!❤
They are great for a homesteader!! Thanks for watching!
Nice job Chris, how do those work with ducks and turkeys? Take care and hope you have a blessed rest of the week my friend.
Same to you Tony!
Thanks for the info...Premier One is what I have but I will consider Starkline for later purchases. Premier One is out of stock often when I need the fencing. I am not a farmer, by any means so my needs do not line up on timelines and I am usually SOL on Premier One.
If you buy Starkline use the code TILLMANFAMILY at checkout for 10% off. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your research and discount code! I ordered the poultry netting
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your video! It came up as part of my final Google searches on poultry fencing to be sure Starkline was my choice before putting the order in. Not only did you confirm the choice but your discount code still works! Thank you!.
Good folks over there! You’ll enjoy the products for sure!
That stake mounted to the box goes in the ground just like your pipe, in the manual it tells you to use the box bracket to ground to. Altho it may be better with deeper ground
Right, it goes in the ground but it’s a terrible ground for electricity. We have had so many problems with that charger we no longer use it.
Thanks for the information , good job !!!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
I wish I was around there!
Hey, sad to see it now. I'm Bill Tillmans great grandson too, through his daughter Margie. Great Aunt Dixie showed me the inside back when it was in better shape in the early 90s. Thanks for showing it. I remember great Uncle Snoop used to run hogs big time. Righteous video for the trees. If they could speak...
Nice! Yes! There are tons of us out there! Lol. Our family’s history is very rich. My son and I have traced ancestors back into the 1200 in Kent England. Thanks for commenting!
@@tillmanfamilyfarm7759 The city in Kent came up as Faversham in my search. Good to connect with you. PS. I do remember navigating those muddy November roads in a small Datsun back then picking up my daughter at Marjies house, right on the edge of the farm.
Sad to say that I don’t. So many things I wish I remembered about that place.
Very nice market! Know your food providers and where it comes from! Get out there and shop local! 👍👍❣️❣️
Nice video and info
Nice information of what it takes to run your operation and a behind the scenes look Chris. Thanks for sharing and hope you both have a blessed week my friend.
Surely you’ve heard the vegemite sandwich song. czcams.com/video/EeeBH294v6I/video.htmlsi=yp3WvamjrAuJJ4Kl
Just curious if you have a lot of losses from hawks? We have to have electrified runs with netting over top. Live in VIRGINIA. I can’t see us being able to pasture chickens.
We have before. Not very often though.
It looked like there was a slit in the plastic upright that would allow the straight repair to fit through it. Thanks for the videos.
You video helped me find the short I have looked for a while. It was at the bottom of the end post where the wire slipped onto the metal spike. How that happened I don't know because it was difficult to slide over the end and back up the post a bit. Tester went from less than 2000 watts to 8000 watts. It has kept the racoons out of the chicken pen and the squirrels out of the garden. Thank you for a through post for trouble shooting the electric poultry fence.
You’re welcome!! Glad it helped!!
When I was young, I remember the farmer next door would do his when they were only a few days old and clip their teeth and tails. Thanks and hope you both have a blessed day and weekend my friends.
I don't understand why you would want the back end that heavy, but I'm just city folk🤷♂️
The loader on the front end will pick up enough that the back end comes off the ground. Adding the water helps keep me on the ground.
Interesting...
Awesome video y'all
Thanks cuz!!
Country folks can survive!!! ✌️💖🙏🤜
So right!!
LOL that would be just my luck try a new mic and it not function. Hope you get it figured out. As for water in the tires for weight on the tractor. We don't do that here because it adds so much weight to the tractor and it's usually wet here 6 months out of the year and would cause issues getting stuck.
I’m hoping it will help. I alway have to have heavy equipment on the back to really use the loader. We’ll see.
Be careful, you could overpressure your tires depending on water pressure.
Would you estimate the tire holding 75 gallons? 75x8lb = 600lb each tire. or 284 liters - 272kg -KJ
Yes! I was thinking it was add about 1000lbs!
Looks like a really cool idea, but I wonder how much the water shortens the life of the wheel.
That’s something I haven’t thought about. I do know this is a pretty common practice so there has to be so info out there. I may see what I can find.
It’s as easy as that. Hope you all are doing well and have a blessed rest of the week my friends.
Tony I felt like a kid playing in sprinkler!! All is well. I hope you guys are are having a great week as well!
Is this Ontario ?
No sorry. Georgia.
I've got a jig that I use guaranteed to be a game changer for y'all as much it was for me. White Allows one person to do the castration standing without needing a second person straddling and holding down the pig on the ground while trying to fight back leg cramps. I do it on the back of my side-by-side out of the dirt little more sanitary. I've used this jig on piglets between 40-50 pounds with no issues I'll figure out how I can get a picture sent to you of the jig. Thanks y'all.
Yes please do! I think at one time my wife had one of you guys phone number? Maybe?
Thanks for sharing another video

Rust is iron oxide so it turns red iron oxide into black iron oxide.
Sorry but seems like a lifestyle thing. Uncontrolled Diabetes + Hard Apple Cider + Poor diet. What is your diet? Had you ever gone for routine cardio testing?
Doctors have all agreed that my body makes triglycerides. Ever since I left the hospital my blood sugar hasn’t been over 120. And now my blood sugar frequently drops out on the lowest dosage of medication they can give me. Side note. That’s the first time I’ve ever had hard apple cider. It’s not that great. Diet? We grow our own food. Veggies, meats and all. This happened while on vacation so we were out of routine.
@@tillmanfamilyfarm7759 Sorry that happened to you. You look good for what it's worth. Mentally, it will take strength to press on I bet. Blood sugar- also look at rebound time, fasting and 2 hours after eating. DO you mix Fats and Carbs e.g., Steak and bread or pasta? That is the Randle Cycle- you want to avoid that. Were you on ANY drugs including RX's? You might have had Metabolic syndrome and just not know it. Did you know many superfoods are harmful? They have Oxalates- even if you grow them yourself. Which veggies do you eat the most? I am reading Toxic Superfoods- Norton. Great book. I avoid Spinach, Almonds, Soy, Potatoes, Rhubard and nightshades.
What is the best way to do a straight stretch of fence? I don't want to make a closed area. I just prevent goats from going down one side to a creek.
You will need some extra post at each end. Something that won’t flex. A tee post will work great. Starkline netting comes with some nylon cordage that you can ty the last post in the netting off with. Just make sure the metal tee post isn’t touching the electric netting. It would cause the fence to ground out.
There's an art to everything!!!😊
Cardiovascular disease and diabetes is the same thing. Stop eating carbs so your blood sugar goes down and your plaque will stabilize.
