I believe this series was inspired by the great feature film “If I Had a Million” which featured several segments of diverse million-dollar-recipients and a fantastic cast including Gary Cooper, Charles Laughton, W. C. Fields, Allison Skipworth, Charlie Ruggles, Mary Boland, May Robson and others. It’s a real treat!

Vernacular would be a test for the younger audience. Good.

That was quite nice! It was a bit before my time (I was a 1960's kid), so thanks for introducing me to it. Too bad the show didn't last longer. I love Michael Ansara, especially as Kang in Star Trek. Many years later I learned he was once married to Barbara Eden, who I of course also loved from I Dream of Jeannie. 😊

i have the set of 90 episodes. it says ,, june 21 1963. i think it first aired on that date but im not sure. usually suspense episodes were done+ dated much sooner than this? still its a good episode imo.

Mister District Attorney was a surprisingly successful multimedia franchise for years. This show didn't last very long, but between books, radio shows, comics and some magazine shorts the character was all over the place at one point. Have a very beat up copy of a 1950s comic in hand that I rescued from a Good Will bin. It's kind of adorably quaint.

Voice over on the Singer spot sounds like Liz Montgomery.

This was a treat. We have 16-year-old Tuesday Weld and 59-year-old Agnes Moorehead, both Oscar nominees. Marvin Miller (46 years old here) really had a handle on the "Michael Anthony" character but his acting/narration career spanned four decades, working right up to his death in 1985 at 72 years of age. His early on-screen work in movies were mostly dark, malevolent characters. Thanks for posting this!

Joe Besser! From Stinky to Stooge! Anybody who breaks big-time alongside Abbot & Costello, then joins the 3 Stooges is somebody worth watching - even if he only served as Third Stooge for 2 years! (And esp since he left the troupe to take care of his ailing wife.)

Notice there's no canned laughter? This was a time when the producers,etc were confident the viewing public was intelligent enough to understand the storyline and humor to know when to laugh. Also, the husbands were not portrayed as buffoons and put down by their spouses. Sadly lacking today.

I use to watch broken arrow when I was a kid..all of Walt Disney programs every Sunday night. Grew up with the Micky Mouse Club too.
