Two Heavy Harries double headed on Stringers Creek. Michelle and I headed out to Pete's layout to have a training run on his layout. Michelle brought along her H220 Heavy Harry for a run,so it was doubled up with Pete's for something special.

Headed out to the Caulfield Model Railway Exhibition, there was so much to see there, this is only a small sample of what was there. This is on every year at this time in August, 25th to 26th. As you will see it always draws the crowd, it's a great day to also bring the young ones as you will hear.
Mornington Tourist Railway

Wednesday, Toni and I headed out for the day to the Mornington Tourist Railway. This is a great volunteer-run Railway which I think doesn't get enough recognition, so if you get the chance head on down and have a look around, the staff are very friendly, there are lots to see in the yard and I'm sure they would be happy to show you around. Mixed Running on Petes layout

Got a call from Pete today saying he was going to have a running session on his layout and to bring something over. Well, I took over my Class 20 for another run on the rails, plus my HST which I had packed away. Pete also had out some of his stock. Pete had on the rails a Y131 with a goods train, DRC 43 and MT cars also an N Class 456 with a 6 car V/Line set and X31 & X45 on a wheat train.

This video was taken by my wife when we were at Barrow Hill Engine Shed for their Gala where Flying Scotsman and Tornado were also there. In this video, you will see a first, both Flying Scotsman and Tornado double headed and they both ran up the line so I had to get on board for this first and maybe never repeated event.

Magnificent replication of Central the most iconic railway station in Australia, the detail is so amazing even down to Elliotts hock shop the blue building on the corner & the famous Golf House which always stood out like a beacon with it's bright neon's & watching the Golfer smack the ball from one side of the building to the other. Caught my eye every time when travelling into the city at night on the East Hills line back in the 70's -80's.

Hello, It was DC, but I had it fitted with two DCC chips,, one in both ends.

Hi Dave, yes lots to get tips from, that display that had that sign was very small, it would have blown it away if anyone had done that.

The only problem with this scene is the fact that there was only ever one H220 locomotive built so it was never double headed. Had they done so it would most certainly been a sight worth seeing.

I grew up in Hilltop and as a child remember diesel locomotives coming up through the Saddleback cutting.

What brand of steam engine are they "Trainbuilder" etc also what sound card is in them H220 -H224. H221-H224 were never built what pity never heard in real life. Malcolm Aldridge never
one had Loksound in it, the other was from a private installer and sorry I dont have those details.

Happy to report 129 is now running it's final tests and is to enter regular service shortly
