What's the difference between Scotland and Missouri?
Should you still ride roller coasters if you're over 40?
What was the Kansas City Massacre?
What's the biggest bar in St Louis?
What happens when two lifelong friends reunite for a 12 day trip across mid Missouri?
The Wandering Herd took a break from family RV travel in order to welcome their Scottish friend over to meet the fam and have a good old fashioned catch up - because we all need to do this more often!

RV FUEL SAVING in 2024: 4 easy options to get you started today!
Update as of Aug 5 2024: Both Verizon and TMobile options still going strong with no caps or fees - just had 450 dl speeds with TMob in NE Ohio..
Yens oughta check out and do a video in Branson,Mo much more beautiful than St.Louis And a lot to do! You would really enjoy it!
I’m glad you enjoyed your short time in St. Louis. 😊 Come explore the Lou some more soon, there’s so much amazing culture here! ⚜️🫶
If you bring the kids to St. Louis, you must do the City Museum - also good for adults, but crazy good for kids
LOVE both places, but I am partial to Edinburgh when I travel. I won't ever leave America (live in OK) but I will stay for long extended periods of time in Edinburgh when I get the chance. Missouri is an amazing state, with KCMO being one of the best choices you could make in terms of visiting. I'm glad you were able to experience the heat, baseball, good food, and the greater differences. I'm sure you'll want to bring a few things back with you to Scotland, such as the food portions and the price of petrol, but hey, that's what traveling is all about. Love, learn, live.
You were close to me. I'm in Mexico, Missouri. I'm headed to Scotland on the 21st for my 3rd time. Staying in Harris & Lewis.
Did the generator work for all 9-days?
I knew David and Neil before they were big CZcamsrzzz
We LOVE Kansas City. Nice to see you made it to Chicken N Pickle it's a fun place. I also noticed you were in Art Alley. Did you by chance find Jim's bar? It's kind of hidden in the alley, but it is an amazing old school bar. When you walk in it's like stepping back into 1973.
that is such a cool idea for a hiking trail!
Right? Just enough to keep them (and us) engaged :)
Your boys will remember this awesome day that they had with you....Remember that one day when dad let us play in the puddles at the park😊😇🥰
Right? It's all about finding the balance :)
Perfect i would be splashing them and getting them nice and tired
We all had fun playing outside boys will be boys this is so good for them, they will be cranky tired, get them bathed and fed earlier, family time, teeth and off to bed. 😂
The teeth part is easy for one and impossible for the other atm :)
That’s ok David! Just hose them down outside, that’s what camping / living outside is all about! Make the best out of it 😂
100 - my OCD with mess is the big issue but we did it!
@@TheWanderingHerd I feel ya. But they are too cute to get upset. We would gladly help watch them so you guys can get a breather 😮💨🧘🏼♂️
That's what playgrounds are for. Having fun!!!😂
These boys have seen honestly 150+ over the past 12 months of our travels - they should start a playground yelp page..

The worst place in my opinion to be in in a tornado is a mobile home or an overpass. I’ve watched mini tornado videos, and these are the places where most people lose their lives. The mobile homes are just not built for that kind of weather so they easily get sucked up and absolutely mangled and overpasses act like a win tunnel so the wins will be much, worse in it in overpass oh and get away from windows easily they will break
that a worst plasce in the world
Anyone else hear sirens head at the end of
Shopping is a luxury and a blessing because many can't anymore
What do you mean remember, with todays inflasion, every shopping day is a treasure hunt, including getting the booty home before starving pirates attack 😅
Dude I'm supposed to go camping today but I'm in a tornado so no
Is being inside the tornado the worst place to be when one hits?
Band for years 😮
Banned* also sure your fun 🙄
no, its in the tornado
From the looks of the sky, they've got ample warning to GTFO if they go now.
You were here a tornado, and you stopped to make a video😂😂😂😂
I will go hide in a tree
Iowa cornfields
That's why camping at a KOA (which is where that is) is a great idea. They not only have bathrooms and showers, a store, pizza, etc. ... but also storm shelter :)
Man I was 9. Bikes scared the crap out of me. Then I learned to balance without my feet in the pedals and then I got it within a week. The issue was my first bike was way too tall for me. Even with training wheels I fell over because the center of gravity was so high, I couldn’t reach the ground and an adult had to put me on it. When I grew into it a few years later I learned fast but in those years I might have been big enough but I was too scared to try because I remembered it being very tall.
I have HomeFi and personally it has worked great for me. Its convenient, affordable, and easy to use. I've tried some other options too but nothing has worked well except for the HomeFi portable hotspot. It connects me to the nearest strongest signal and is perfect for working and streaming on the road!
Nice video. Some rv techs are expensive especially when they give you the wrong advice, and you still have to pay them. You should only use truck stops for fueling!!!!
Very cool looking place.
Just have a standard bumper with a bike rack and remove the rack all together. It ads way to much weight to the rear bumper. The rack weights more then all your bikes combined. And the bike rack alone will sit higher
We didn't like having to cover he bikes for weather and lock/unlock for fear of theft anyway so we have foldable e-bikes that fit in our storage bay now = much better for us!
Liked and subscribed!
Happy birthday! That is the coolest coffee shop ever!
You guys would like them all - all different styles/layouts - think there’s 4 around town and we saw 3 🎉
🤯
Like your style!
Why do you tubers not watch other channels and learn from others? Another ' learn from our mistakes video "
We do watch other channels - but at some point you just gotta get out there and do it :)
But what are you going to do with T-Mobile when they geo lock their boxes?? It’s coming!!
Yes for sure - we are going to enjoy it as long as it lasts and then if/when it locks we will be reliant on the Verizon option with Starlink as a backup - every month we go without paying the $150 for starlink is $ saved with Verizon at $60 and T Mob at $50..
For $70 a month you can sign up for mobile internet.
We have both tmobile home and STARLink with peplink to bind them but I’d pay $70 for unlimited if it had with multiple carriers …
Always check the power, then the ground. A lot of 12v stuff is just a horrible ground point, or it rusts/corrodes and needs some cleaning, especially with trailers. For some reason they are never covered and just exposed to the elements. Then the fuses. I have been burned by the $100 diagnostic fee so many times on cars because of the fuses under the hood. Also, the rear bike rack is a horrible idea. Rear racks in general. It is a horrible idea to put a bunch of weight on the rear, and the cooler is heavy and will snap welds and cause say. Bike are awkward and honestly, your bike will rust fast on the rear.
For sure we went with folding bikes that fit in our storage bay now so we don't have to worry about rust/theft/anything falling off!
I related to this so hard that i felt both the pain and the laughter all at once. Id been in the shower and had dressed straight after, in that short time, my little one managed to open two pots of (unsealed but closed) Sudocream. She painted my entire living room. Floor, sofas, tv, walls, tables. And was covered head to toe. It was in her hair, her ears, up her nose. 😂 was so stunned i stopped in my tracks for a solid 2 minutes while my brain processed what i was seeing.
Haha yes I was kinda stunned into “I’m not even mad I’m actually amazed so much was done in so little time” 😂
Probably more bummed aboit the butt paste. Dang kids. It will be ok. At least its not a sharpie on the wall. Like mine did. Still there.
Oye yes we actually painted our walls recently (all apart from the boys rooms) so sharpie is my greatest fear..
I also went through this 😂 last year I came downstairs early one morning to find my then 4 yr old had gotten up sometime in the night, cleared the safety gates like a ninja, and written the alphabet across the downstairs hallway wall in a black sharpie. (She then contently had taken herself back off to bed, proud and satisfied with her work). After my brain silently went throught the usual "wtaf HOW!? WHY!?" I finisher on "well hey she got them all right and her handwriting is getting better" 🤷♀️ I'm a first time rookie parent, the trust issues are becoming real 😭😂 but she has taught me a whole new level of patience I didn't know I had in me.
@@VickyF_ Oh dang. The levels of anger. It's just pen we can fix it. Yea mine is 2. He drew lines all the way down the hallway. He is just a ball of energy. Fun times. Thanks for sharing 😊.
Im confused on wether to comment my condolences or this is just a psi to keep an eye on kids when they are quiet I saw red and assumed it was blood and you are too sad to clean up the scene
I think it's the toothpaste everywhere, assuming that was blood there isn't nearly enough shown in this video to show that someone died from blood loss. Also there is none in the hallway so it was only 3 little drops, plus the video wouldn't be panning from toothpaste to toothpaste if it was about a death.
It's a moment of condolence for the furniture and the carpet. It's the moment you realise you have to somehow clean that chaos up and remind yourself that silence is NOT golden where kids are concerned. Silence means mischief is afoot.
@@VickyF_ 100
Haha yes just red “Spider-Man toothpaste” thankfully but it does look like blood… it actually came out easier than the buttpaste!
Listen I don’t have a diesel but I’m watching due to my interest in perhaps going diesel. Appreciate your details 🏁 some advice on content; Talk to us about your truck, towing mpg’s at what speed on avg; how it climbs etc.. and stay consistent with MPG’@ mph? We see your wife drives also … keep the content coming..
Sure thing we will talk more about the truck going forward - I can tell you we are always on cruise control at 65mph while we tow and across 9 states we pretty much average 11mpg - it’s a ram 3500 Dually and it’s got plenty power for inclines - usually not going beyond 3 RPMs!
Great vid …. A first watching you.. I can see you’re new..But youz guys have it .
Welcome along! Appreciate the feedback - yes new to rving and new to YouTubing but we like the challenge of new things so here we are :)
did you see the happy face 😰😨
The buckyies insadent I call it "paying the stupid tax"😂😂 It could happen to any of us
We actually went back to that same buc-ees just last week to do it right and it was painfully easy - plus realized the far away pumps also have DEF which was good to know!
You guys surely need an experienced coach to mentor your RV usage...........
Time is the best experience, we won’t make these mistakes again!
